      Tiny Baby Man Tiny Baby Man I'm sure I know how stop motion works 😂 I also would know how to edit cuz I do it? Stop motion is actually pretty time consuming and especially cropping out your finger could take a long time since you would have to mask out your finger every single frame, which is just ridiculous and quixotic. I'm sure he has methods of executing these videos that are much more difficult than you think.

      Octavio12341000 I don't think you understand. it's more about knowing something new. You still don't understand why those things work the way they do. Just like math. You can memorize maybe a specific trick to come to the solution, but if you don't understand why it works the way it does, you could never translate it to other mathematic problems. But I know what you mean about the piano lessons we take :/

      The trick is to consistent base lines while playing your right hand is to think of it as your rhythm/metronome.Once you get the beat down you are free to use your right hand to improvise a lick/melody. Just don't think about it too much, just enjoy playing and you'll find that it's really easy, that's how jazz works... "Planned Randomness"

      +Making Music magazine Thanks MMm. Continuing on the piano blues/jazz series, I would say some typical chord progressions (2-5-1), various basic licks etc. One thing I found very helpful was that you explained these in C, which we (viewers) can always transpose it ourselves to the key that we would like.
      Looking forward to seeing more videos on your channel.

    This is great! When other people try to show how to play something, they film everything from above and a lot of the time you can't see which notes they're pressing. This method, from that angle, with the little coloured dots, and the keys going down without hands on them getting in the way, is by far the best method I've ever seen. I have tried for years to learn to read sheet music and I've now given up. Wish l could get tutorials done this way for lots of other stuff, classical etc. 😃

      Try playing the bass line really slowly with a metronome, clicking up the speed only when you're solid and not looking at the keys. Then try playing the bass line with a play-along track, over and over until it feels really solid. Once you start feeling solid with your left hand, remembering not to look at the keys, try adding just solid chords with your right, playing along with your left hand. Soon, your left will be on auto-pilot. Then, you're on your way! That's the way that works for me but I hope that Making Music Magazine will chime in here for you with their recommendation. Good luck. Happy Playing!

      I agree with you.. it isn’t jazz. The guy uses blue scales not jazz scales (which are way more complex and hard to use)
      The baseline is also not jazzy at all

    This tutorial is deeply wrong and misleading. One of the basic peculiarity of blues is that you play the blues scale on ALL the chords of the progression. It's the VERY FIRST thing to learn.

    • @georgerosebush9754
      @georgerosebush9754 9 лет назад +3

      You're saying to play the same scale throughout and not change the scale for every chord change? That does make much more sense, especially if you were to have fast chord changes, and especially since this is aimed at beginners, changing scales frequently is so hard.

    • @MassimoSgargi
      @MassimoSgargi 9 лет назад +2

      George Rosebush I'm saying that you can play the chords in the blues, and the chord scale for each chord. but the BLUES SCALE is one. You play the tonic blues scale all over the changes and not the blues scale of the IVth and Vth grade. This is really very strange.

    • @johncheesebacon
      @johncheesebacon 9 лет назад +4

      Massimo Sgargi the blues scale of the IVth and Vth grades are composed of all the notes inside C minor (not C minor blues). Therefore, when he says that Fminor and Gminor blues scales are being used, he is, in fact, playing a Cminor scale with the major IInd (D) and the minor VIth(Ab), the same pattern of C eolian, for example.

      That should be fine if you're playing the scale for the key of the song. Maybe not play some notes here and there when certain chords play, but all in all it should be fine.
