I think you're making a HUGE assumption that Char and Kamille were the only elite pilots that could turn the war for the AEUG. In fact, without Char there to remind Amuro of the loss of Lalah Sune, Amuro might have seen the importance of joining the fight in space. In the anime it really seemed like both Amuro's PTSD from Lalah's death kept him on Earth, but also, Amuro saw that Char and Kamille were with the AEUG so he could leave it to them.
Instead, I think Amuro would have gone to space, reunited with Bright Noa, and Amuro would have played a pivital roll in stopping the gas attack on the colony. However I do think that, without the Zeta and related mobile suits, Von Brown still would have fallen. The AEUG would have then waged a gurellia war against the Titans until Axis launched their invasion.

Kamille, undeterred by the Titans or military police, goes straight home as she intended along with her friend Fa. It be uncertain if we see her ever again. Char’s operation continues as planned and the show goes on without Kamille. One major setback, no Zeta Gundam. Four and the Psycho Gundam would remain in play until she transfers to the newer model or she becomes psychologically damaged beyond repair. Additionally, Jerid’s life just moves up from here as his friends live long enough to see their families or lovers, and Jerid may find love blooming on the battlefield that doesn’t end with a beam rifle blast.
Lastly, Scirocco lives on to become the Universal Century’s biggest pimp ever.

    OK, so, my two cents:
I think Sayla and Amuro might have been able to spend more time together after the One Year War, given that she was flying the RX-78-2, and would have probably done pretty well at this point. Amuro canonically became a flight instructor, and I think Sayla would have done the same. They might even have gotten married, and maybe have had a child or two of their own. Now, for the Zeta Gundam aspect, two options:
    1. Sayla and Amuro both join the AEUG fairly early on, with Sayla eventually taking the role her brother (Char/Quattro) took in canon. This would enable the theft of the Mark II to succeed, and canon to progress mostly as normal (with Amuro and Sayla both mentoring Kamille).
    2. Sayla is with Amuro in the events of the video. Amuro probably becomes the pilot of the Hyaku Shiki (or whatever prototype succeeds it) while Sayla pilots a Nemo.
But yeah. Whichever way things go down, don't forget about Sayla. I know Zeta (mostly) did, but having her show up would make an interesting butterfly.

If char never came back then there wouldn't have been Rick Dias infiltrating Green Noa. Char brought the gundarium gamma alloy that axis developed that would be used in making the Rick Dias (was origianlly named gamma gundam).
Char's absence loses 2 of the AEUG's best units (Rick Dias and Zeta)
As for Amuro, it could go either way. If Amuro walks away from the war with relatively minor ptsd he could easily be a titan (if the federation allows this) or aeug's default top ace and later mentor (Char's main role through most of the story). As a titan Amuro would help accelerate newtype research and mobile development in the pre gryps war period (think more titans test team and less Bask Om's brute squad).

    • @heavyarms55
      @heavyarms55 4 года назад +21

That's a very good point. If Amuro getting the Alex reduced the PTSD that Amuro faced, then I could see him still serving in the military, perhaps initially being courted by the Titans but ultimately siding with the AEUG because he can sense how the Titans really are.

Real fun is what kind of influence a relatively healthy Amuro would have been on Kamille. I think he would have been a much better mentor for Kamille because he would have seen a lot in himself in Kamille (rebellious son of gundam maker and accidental pilot in war) and would have been able to deal with early zeta Kamille better because Amuro would see a lot of hinself in Kamille (in canon Bright compared Kamille to Amuro a couple of times).

Your scenario presumes the events of 0083 would have still happened, which in turn drove the formation of the Titans.
There are several events in Char’s Deleted Affair that contribute to Delaz’s rebellion, and wouldn’t happen without Char. I mean he helps Anavel Gato at one point!
Char also helped Mineva escape. I can’t remember if the Federation fleet that assumed she was on the ship escaping (after char suggested she be transferred to a smaller vessel and the original be used as a decoy) was trying to capture her or kill her, but championing her capture or destruction would’ve change things - depending on if she was used as an example of federation strength over spacenoids, or as a martyr...
Not to mention that if Amuro did have the Alex Gundam, there’s a chance that Zeon losses would have been greater at A Baoa Qu and there would have been less survivors for the rebellion?

Without Char, young Haman would've died honorably defending Axis during Deleted Affair, and never burdened with the pressure of having to lead Axis and fulfill their wishes of fighting the Feds. The command would then go to some other Axis commander (is Haman's dad still alive in Zeta?). Fast forward to ZZ and Glemy would have an easier time going up the ranks.

Also the context of the use of the word is different in Japan, especially during the time of Zeta's airing. Autism and mental disorders in general (even illness) were not well known and often misunderstood, even to this day. Man I'm so glad you continued this series!!! Ok first off I love your take, Its very detailed and considers lots of different points of view which is critical.
In zeta Gundam I think things would play out similarly, however one key difference is that, Kamille hating this dad and the Ttians would have went with Captain Bright - Joining Fa on the shuttle Bright flies out of Green Noa. Being Quickly recognized as a newtype he winds up piloting the Hyaku Shiki. During the drop to Jaburo Scirroco sense Kamille which distracts him just long enough for the Argama to make an escape. From there things proceed generally as you have them up to the point where he meets Amuro after the Jaburo base is destroyed. From here Kamilles Presence and the Need of pilots force Amuro to play a much more active role in the AEUG - with him regaining his Newtype sense more quickly than in the anime With Amuro and Kamille combined the AEUG are able to successfully retake Von Braun from the titans and stop the gas attack. However, The titans get the increased support and the AEUG is still left leaderless after Blex Forer's assasination.. Which would leave them in a dubious place with Neo Zeon.

Assuming that Amuro doesn't just replace Char in the story, AND that neither Char's nor Sayla's true identities are revealed. Amuro beating Char in what amounts to a one-on-one duel means that he isn't placed under arrest post-OYW and he becomes a high-ranking officer in the EFF, in the perfect place to both see what the Titans where up to AND in a position to do something about it, like say funnel information and weapons. Also of note is that this means there likely aren't two different rebel movements against the Titans, but rather only a single one.

Pretty accurate I think. Axis only “won” in the original timeline because Haman was able to manipulate both sides into taking each other out. Dear Karkarot. I have one Problem with your analysis.
    1) the AUG would not use the same tactics without the same asset's at disposal.
    2) this would mean stealing of the Gundam MK2 would might have changed into destroying them with more than just one RickDias team.
    3) even if I wish the colonies would have had the guts to oppose the titans after the committed war crime by them. I don't see the uproar succeeding without a hero (group) securing the success.
In general I agree with the outcome of this thought experiment because the AUG simply did not have the needed striking force to pull of their actions.
But it might have come to a different development regarding political play or other tactics. But that would be a totally different story.

    A few points:
    1) Apolly and Roberto are former zeeks ONLY in the CDA continuity, and a handful of later video games. In the original show, they are just as shocked as the Feddie-background characters when Haman introduces Mineva as leader of Neo Zeon; they also never indicate they even know Quatro is Char, unlike a former underling (now a civilian) who does mention serving together. In the novelization, Char's infiltration as Quatro Bajeena is actually disclosed, and there's no mention of his future wingmen being present. So at least those two *should* still be around in the AEUG.
    2) It's always been slightly weird that despite the loss of the three RX-178s, the Titans still beat the AEUG in building feasible transforming MS. If you take MS Graphica as apocrypha, then there was actually a *Unit 4* that didn't yet have an assigned pilot, and which happened to be stored in the same building Jerid was supposed to crash into. That implies two things: either the Mark II's had already undergone operational trials and they were just supposed to be used in live demonstrations, or after the theft Unit 4 was repaired long enough to finish gathering data from and then retired. Either or!
    3) No Hyaku Shiki means we get Zeta Define's Zero Shiki. No problems here, move along.
    4) "No Zeta Gundam": ehhhhhhhhhh... This is tricky, but there's an old manga named Sidestory of Z, where Axis Zeon has a deeper relationship w/ Anaheim Electronics earlier than in the show, and so *their* AEUG actually goes ahead and builds the Z Gustav (it helps they show what happens to the RX-78-2's wreckage). Axis was known to already be on the move around the time of the Green Noa incident, so if they'd had advance agents besides Char... Actually, if AUEG's leadership lacks enough of a dissenting voice, it's entirely possible AE could force them to recruit more and more zeek personnel from the remnants, which is a PR fiasco in the wings the Titans will exploit.

with titan is so strong in this scenario.
Judau savage forever and never meet ZZ gundam ever.

No Nu Gundam push Axis as no more Nemo to develop to Jegan even Nu, and maybe amuro may have probabilities to die before the asteroid pushing event.
Full psycoframe Mobile suit( like RX-0 unicorn) will futher develop by titan and used just like Banshee .and Banagher will still stay on Industrial 7. Laplace box doomed forever.
No more Hathway, he may be prosecuted due to Bright is an AEUG, so does Ksi Gundam, but Penelope or Odeesus Gundam's counterpart in this case will be used by Titans, Rane may be a Titans.
Judau never met ZZ gundam, Crossbone gundam will lost some aid.
    later UC just go Kaboom
and UC may just simply turn PD, or AGE- if Mars is a tolerable living environment.
for the turn PD case, just replace Tekkadan to main characters and Gjalladhorn into Titans
fo the turn AGE case, Just replace Vagan into Mars Zeons and buff them.

Hell i dare even say that maybe zeon as a whole stops existing thanks to this turn of events and maybe the eff become much more tame now that the secrets of operation stardust were revealed

I suppose that this portion of the alternate time line hinges less on the Alex, and more on the actions and death of Char. It could be that if Amuro attacked the Zeong in the chest (assuming 'orthodox' MS cockpit placement), and Char was able to play possum, or eject the head and let it drift, as the Zeong came apart, Amuro might have moved off, unknowingly leaving Char (possibly unconscious and undetectable to Amuro's un-mastered newtype sense) to live and fight another day, restoring the early Zeta Gundam timeline. Anyway, just a possible conjecture.

  • @FLJBeliever1776
    @FLJBeliever1776 4 года назад +1

I'm thinking that is a little off. You forget how indetermined the battles between Char and Amuro were until at the end of the One Year War in this Alternative History.
But first and foremost, the effect of Char not being there on Axis DURING the events of Operation Stardust.
Chances are more likely, without Char's presence, there might be less support for Operation Stardust. Char's death and the end result of Kycillia being killed by Federation Battleships and Cruisers, would have effects.
There were few pilots on Char's level. Anavel Gato was one of them. I'm of the opinion Axis would want to preserve him and have him withdraw back to it rather than die in some vainglorious charge. Especially if Amuro didn't actually leave the Federation's service Post-War.
But for the sake of the argument here and now...
One theory is that if Amuro remained with the Federation after the One Year War, he could have been reassigned as an Aggressor Pilot. So there is a possibility that he might have been present at Torrington Base as well. If not to pilot the GP01 or GP02, but perhaps as pilot to help the base collect data on Mobile Suits and train the rookies there.
Another idea, is that Amuro would have followed somewhat in his father's footsteps and been assisting in the creation of an upgraded Gundam design from the One Year War. Trying to get that performance that the Federation sought, but in a Mass Production friendly design. As a Fly Off between the Anaheim machines and the Federation's own Mobile Suits, Amuro could have been present as well.
But a major point, regardless of the beginning, is that Amuro was still in Federation service. Confident and calm, with his mental baggage squared away, after his victory over Char and possibly, albeit secretly, married to Sayla Mass, Amuro is ready and able. Anavel Gato and Amuro Ray have their own history to regard, because gato was one of the few people who could have stopped Amuro at Solomon and Amuro was also responsible for the deaths of no less than two Zabis, especially Anavel Gato's former commander, Dolza Zabi.
For fanatics like Delaz and Gato, getting Amuro would always be a point, but while Delaz is more in control of it, Gato isn't.
Late into things happening, both Amuro and Bright are active combatants by that point. Perhaps operating off another Pegasus-class SCV. They avoid the fate at Konpei Island and realize there is something amiss. Together they work to piece it together and Bright uses contacts through his wife's family to get a force together while Amuro contacts Sayla to see if she can, in her own way, to get an idea of what is happening as well.
With a small, but robust fleet (mostly lead by veterans of the One Year War) under his command Bright moves off to collect Nuclear Weapons from Luna II. The base commander, recalling the late first Captain of the White Base, agrees and even adds a few more forces to Bright's small fleet. Then they head out based on incoming data and set up their ambush of the Delaz Fleet.
As Albion and GP03 pursue the Delaz Fleet from behind, attempting to stop them, Bright's assembled Federation Fleet intercept from in front, surprising Delaz. Especially as a special parcel had been sent to give Amuro the boost he would need. A new and improved, upgraded RX-78-NT-1 Gundam Alex.
The sight of the Gundam Alex, would drive Gato into a frenzy. After all, it was the Mobile Suit, along with its pilot, that was most responsible for the Zeon's final defeat. Delaz would prove unable to fully control Gato any further and thus, Gato would race off to kill the White Shooting Star.
But, by that time, Kou Uraki and the Albion have returned for Round 2. As such, Kou intercepts Gato first and foremost. The two clash, with Gato attempting to brush aside or kill Kou outright. But with the GP03 and its own technological developments, Gato struggles as Amuro slips away and begins to tear the Delaz Fleet apart with a force of Mobile Suits with a considerable number of veteran pilots.
Delaz watches as his fleet is being systematically torn apart, but he is still able to push the captured Colony pass the final phase line, only to watch as Bright orders a Nuclear Barrage on it.
Backlit by the Colony being consumed by Nuclear explosions, Kou and Gato continue to fight it out with Gato still distracted by Amuro and thus before he realizes it, Kou has forced him into a corner he cannot recover from and thus the Nightmare of Solomon is killed.
With Gato's death, Cima Garahau was able to take Delaz prisoner and capture his ship and use it to send up signal flares ordering the Delaz Fleet to surrender. Most follow the order, but others panic and retreat, eventually joining the Axis Fleet before they retreat before the combined might of three Federation Fleets fall upon them.
Immediately after the flares, Cima entreated with Bright and explained everything to him. Including WHO she had been working for the entire time.
With that as a basis, Bright contacts Jaburo, where most officers are still unaware of anything. Upon being informed of who was involved, they move swiftly, rescuing Admiral Kowen, and arresting Jamitov Hymen and Gene Coliny. Word is also sent to Bask Om's own fleet and he's arrested by his own crew and officers for treason.
After the failed Delaz Uprising, the Federation decides to do further sweeps against Zeon Remnants. They form a special task force to head the campaign, placing Admiral Kowen in command with Bright Noa as field commander. These two men are more lenient in their pursuit of Zeon Remnants, as they minimize collateral damage and maximum damage on the Zeon Remnants.
Never taking their forces outside of the Federation Forces' support, they keep it as a part of the larger Federation Military as opposed to an independent branch. Pilots like Emma Sheen, Jerid Messa, Ford Romfellow, Ajis Aziba, and personnel who would have fought as Titans, fight as part of this new unit and are able to bring an end to the Zeon Remnants well before Axis arrives, if it ever leaves, as the Federation would be a stable place, without the Titans and thus, no AEUG.
Especially if Sayla reveals herself as the daughter of Side 3's namesake and takes control of any Zeon Remnant that would renounce further violence.
That changes the narrative considerably, as Sayla could potentially take over the Republic of Zeon and begin the groundwork to reunite it with the Federation, while Reformist leaders in the Federation could move forward and create a new Charter, changing the way the Federation is organized and governs.
    Rosy picture, ain't it?
But for every rose, there is a thorn.
As there are both Zeon Remnants that would refuse Sayla's legitimacy and those, from within and without, who still harbor burning the Federation or taking control of it.
That said... I think the issue of the immedate Post-War Environment and how Amuro would be effectively changed, should be considered.

Jumping back abit, I would say many things had changed following the one-year war, Amuro and the White base crew were far more successful in this timeline and earned more recognition than before. Most likely Amuro would be turned into a new-type weapon field test pilot. So in many aspects, Amuro and his crew would be used by the military and not hidden and separated thus they would be given a new ship The Albion. Amuro would lead a team to field test runs with the GPO1 and the GPO2a, While Kou Uraki and other pilots test ran Zeon older machines against Amuro's older unit The Alex in mock combat piloted by Senior pilot South Burning with specially designed equipment so South Burning can operate The Alex Gundam at its full compacity. Gato would have more difficulty yet was able to sneak into the base and steal the GPO2a. Amuro was out on a test run with Gpo1 at the time and was away from the base. While the others were coming back from their mock fights, this leaves them to chase down Gato. While Amuro headed back to the Albion and refueled etc... and tried to catch up to everything going down. Gato puts up with heavy resistance from The Alex Gundam but South Burning had less Experience in combat compared to Gato. Which became apparent when Gato outmaneuvers The Alex and leads it into a surprise assault by Xamels and Prototype Rick-Dom Zwei. South Burning is able to make sure the others survive but The Alex is heavily damaged and the pilot is killed. Amuro gets there too late, Gato has escaped.
The top brass of the EFF ridicule how this unlikely scenario could even happen and gives The Albion a new mission to retrieve the stolen unit. Due to many different events throughout the various pursuit missions at times Amuro and Kou butt heads, and some times he is in the Repaired Alex M.k. 2 (a repaired version equipped with some prototype equipment still being fully tested at The La Vie en Rose.) During Gato's attack on Kopeki Island, he is not completely Successful, the nuke goes off but The GPO2A's shoved by a full thruster shoulder check by the GPO1FB. The shot misses most of the Assembly, Amuro does kill Gato here when the GPO2A has a malfunction and the arm seizes up. The Remains of the GPO2A were then recovered by The Albion afterward. Anaheim takes it back for studies. Alex M.K. 2 meets its end during a battle with MA-06 Val Walo, Kou after deciding he was going to quit the EFF and had been (Punched by Amuro and Slapped by Bright) working on some sort of old unit with this cripple / former Zeon pilot. Kou used The Alex M.k. 2 when he learned the purpose of fixing the Val Walo was to attack the Albion and destroy it. The Alex M.K. 2 kills the Val Walo pilot in the battle but The Alex M.K. 2's too heavily damaged to be repaired anymore. The Albion rescues Kou after the battle and collects the Remaining pieces of The Alex M.K.2 and Anaheim collected that unit as well to get the data off of.
Kou took over the GPO1A piloting role, as Amuro and Bright had noticed one too many oddities with Nina Purpleton's behavior especially at the news of Gato dying. This eventually leads to Amuro taking on the job of visiting Anaheim to investigate Nina's history and seeing what is done with the former pieces of The Alex and GPO2A. During this time Amuro would have learned all about Nina's personal history. And that This RX78GP03-S Gundam "Dendrobium Stamen" is the complete version of their efforts from the GPO's and The Alex Gundam M.K. 2. He then learns of the Zeon operation by the Deloz Fleet and that a "successor" to The Famed "Red Comet" has come from Axis to work with Deloz in the last stage of Operation Stardust Memory. Amuro would end up with this new Gundam, when he warns The Albion with his intel, that Anaheim has made deals with Axis, about The Deloz Fleet. The location of this Gundam in a stronghold etc... The Albion manages to claim the New Gundam and they be-line it to where Deloz's location. Amuro heads out with Kou and during the battle, Amuro and Kou get separated Kou heads to stop the colony's descent, there Kou is greeted by a now full sympathizer of Zeon "Nina Purpleton, this ends in Kou having to put her down. Meanwhile, Amuro has been under the attack of both Cima and this mysterious "Successor to the Red Comet" Kou arrives back into the fight with news of Cima's forces turning on the Deloz Fleet. Cima gets attacked by Kou as Amuro moves in to chase this Successor near the colony. During the battle with Amuro, he is taunted by the unknown voice, the pilot claims. That the Red Comet died as a Martyr for all of Axis and there will always be a RED Comet. Eventually, Amuro does kill "this" Red Comet as well, but after taking a high amount of damage. Amuro makes it back to the battlefield Kou was last sighted at and intervenes at a crucial time Ramming the remaining parts of the Orchis this pins down Cima long enough for the GPO1FB to destroy the Orchis and Cima's Gerbera Tetra. The Titans are formed as a response to the attempt to drop another colony. The Albion's Crew is recruited into part of the Titans, the EFF did not bury the Gundam Project and instead sought to make it the mainline development of future Gundams. (The titans in this timeline are not as extreme as in this timeline there has been higher success against Zeon in history. Though the Titans exist they are not as extreme, at least not in the beginning)
If there is no char nor his comrades AEUG would have had less than desirable people running the operation essentially amateurs. Which would most likely AEUG would have been the one causing the most casualties. During this time Kamille would have been getting questioned by the Titans. From there he would witness the horror that the AEUG would be causing as their plan just falls apart. Kamille would lose his father, in the attack. This would change Kamille to join the titans later on.
So they can develop the next level evolutions beyond GPO3, the titans used the history of Anehiem's Zeon loyalties to take over Anaheim. This would put Amuro in the driver's seat of the successor unit called RX-78-M Gundam Midnight. Amuro being a titan would be the one leading his group in training and fine-tuning the Midnight Gundams. Bright was overseeing his transfer to Command of the Alexandria. So when AEUG tried to take the units they failed thanks to Amuro and his two other officers at the time Kou Uraki, and Jerid Messa already using them in a flight test. This also puts the Argama in trouble as eventually, the Alexandria does catch up with them, and the Argama currently has lost three units and pilots. It is not long before they are taken out, Kamille after being taken under Amuro's wing becomes a recognized Titan and works with the ever-growing members on the ship. More and more officers join up on the Alexandria and they launch a massive offensive against the AEUG base on Von Braun. Already overwhelmed and lacking in any real ace pilots and failing to retrieve the Gundams, the loss of the Argama, and with no place that builds Mobile Suits for their side. Von Braun falls as The Radish is destroyed as it tried to flee. Karaba was too weak and unsuccessful and lost every battle that mattered until they too fell. Axis never returns as they are in too much of a disadvantage. No, until the government begins to crumble. The rise of the Titans, has begun!

I feel that with the lack of skilled pilots AEUG would try harder to get Amuro and maybe even Sayla to join them in space, maybe not immediately so the theft of the mk. 2 would still fail and even if he where to join them their machines would still be outclassed but I feel that Amuro's skill (and the clout he brings along) would be enough to avoid complete disaster for the AEUG.

She may have helped either through sabatoge, or through defecting before they could gas everyone. Dunno if that stopped other colonies from surrendering to the titans, though, with or without the successful gassing of Side 2, it proved they were willing, and even if they just "scraped by" a victory, the AUEG would be reeling.

I personally don't agree with the assessment of the Rik Dias with Apolly and co Vs the two MK2 Gundams.
The Dias units are every bit as capable as the MK2s, even more so given the lack of the armour upgrade, which is honestly a massively underappreciated factor in the successes of the RX78-2. Plus the fact that in terms of experience and skills , Apolly and co are leagues better pilots than either Emma or anyone else in the field at this time.
While I am not saying that it would be a cakewalk for them, the prognosis of their being out performed in terms of tech and skills is completely bunk IMHO.

how presumptuous that one would assume the MkII built by the titans would be the same...
like you said butterfly effect... the MkII is basically a re--imagining of the OYW gundam..
taking a page from Gihren's greed games, they would repaint the Alex in titans colors or make another unit for Zero Murasame to pilot for the titans.
with the higher performing Alex as the baseline, combining it with the Hazel's data, the MkII would be completed faster and with higher specs...and better armor (i'm still fantasizing about a MkII that uses the lighter Gundarium Gamma instead of the generic Titanium ceramic composite)
with the MkII completed earlier, the barzam would have been rolled out faster...so rather than fielding Hizacks against AEUG and Axis, they would a significantly stronger force.
meanwhile, you forgot that Char's speech in Dakar is partly why the Main forces of the Federation wasnt placed under the titans control.
if the Titans gained control of the Feds forces, several aces from Feds would either join AEUG or try to form another group...later on...maybe Mafty without Hathaway since Noa's family would be even under harsher scrutiny(lesser places to hide since he defected to AEUG .
keeping on the UC 0093 onwards... who will leak PsychoFrame tech to AE/amuro if Char isnt around?
Nu gundam wouldnt be built, none of the unicorns nor Narrative.... Laplace box will stay sealed.
back to the zeta era... if Titans got hold of Feds forces, Axis might get into a long drawn out war.... question is would Haman be the same person without char?

Very weak video if you consider ANY extra material at all, Amuro would be waayyyy less affected by the OYW and probaly would just be on Char's place. Or other of the top AEUG aces would simply be on Char's place for the Gundamjack. That assuming that 0083 happened since Amuro rampage on A Baoa Qu would probably mean way less Zeon forces for operation Stardust and Char itself was a big factor for Stardust start

Here's the thing about the Rick Dias. It wouldn't exist in this timeline. The Rick Dias only came about because of data and prototypes brought to Anaheim by Char and his wingmen. So to make this even worse, whoever gets sent to steal the Mark IIs (assuming it even happens in the first place) would likely only have GM IIs or even worse.

One could make the argument that other aeug aces could be shuffled into Camille and Char's places like Jack Bayard and Asuna Elmarit

Titans would cause a Civil War within the Federationd as Bright Noa represented the sensible aspects of the federation. After the gas attacks, I would image AUEG would garner more support especially with a man from Jupiter now calling the shots. Titans are their own worst enemy. Making enemies wherever they go in the Federation. I can see a lot of the old guard not standing around and allowing a bully, force the Federation into this more extremist direction. Also, Amuro Ray would have to take a more of a leading role as there is no one capable as he. Think about it, this is Amuro who defeated Char, his name would carry more weight in this timeline. Even more so than Char's did with the Colony Sides.
Axis would not have any reason to join against AEUG because Char didn't have his little PUA moment with a certain Zeonic female 😉. More like Axis would seek to absorb the AEUG.

I'm thinking the butterfly effect would even effect the events of 0083... It's possible Anavel Gato could have been shot down and/or captured during the battle as he attempts to fill in the gap left by Char's early death. Without Gato and subsequently Uraki's involvement, Cima would have been about to broker the Stardust plans to the Federation in time to stop the colony drop. This would prevent the formation of the Titans as we know but instead accelerate complacency in the Federation and compress the timeline bringing Axis in earlier and having Camille and Judo as part of a elite Federation team rushing to stop Neo Zeon. With this another colony drop is attempted by Axis and also the events of CCA would also accelerate as Amiro comes to the aid of Camille and Judo... With Camille and Amuro once again sacrificing themselves to stop Axis.

Funny though. If Char dies the Rick Dias likely never gets developed. Or at least it would have been delayed.
There’s a bit of lore within the aneheim laboratory log that goes over one if the pale rider dII tests. The titan’s test team ran into quattro and two of his companions. After the battle Quattro was able to deliver some material as well as Quattro’s dowas custom. Which contributed to the Rick Dias ^w^
So no Char: probably no Rick Dias

I think Amuro and possibly Chris would have been recruited/abducted on earth. The original gundam would have long been dismanteld as it's far outdated, and the Alex would have been mothballed as well which would have been brought back with Captain Bright Noa. So from that point a mix of the Alex and the Shiki would have brought in a new line of suits that would have allowed the AEUG a chance to fight back but only once Axis showed up. But there's no way Amuro would have anything to do with the Titans, nor would Chris. The titans were a reskin of Zeon and those two would have seen that and said screw you.

What about the division in the Titans? Even in this timeline with Char and Kamille gone, none of the Titans were really united in the sligtest. Guys like Jamitov, Scciroco, and Bask would have used this opportunity to take power in the Titans and federation. Plus, given the right push, Kamille could have still joined the AEUG given that the Titans actions would have eventually pushed him to the poin the AEUG would recruit prisoners like him into their ranks along with other disheartened colonies and Earth Federation forces that still disliked the Titans methods; people like Emma would eventually leave the Titans after colony gasing became a thing.

Looking back at this there’s an issue
AEUG will never have the Rick deas since the gundalium alloy will never be made and the Rick deas will not be able to come to production. And since char is the one who’s being the middleman for AEUG and axis that also mean a lot of other tech will not flow to AEUG

Hmmm... I really do not agree with the vast majority of the changes mentioned in this video. Since even if the AEUG did not have Char or his two wingmen there were still more then a few decent pilots in AEUG. The guys from the Halloween Team, maybe Yu Kamjia and his team, and many others could have been part of the AEUG giving them some ability to stand up against the Titans. I also could see them at least managing to get at least one of the Mark IIs with a couple of casualties. Also I really do not like that you had the Argama sunk at the Jaburo Drop Operation. However, all that said I can see were this is coming from since I have thought about something similar for a fanfiction story idea that I had which had Anaheim not being able to get that needed military mobile suit contract with the Federation thanks in part the diaster of the Gundam Development Project which ended up them not being able to be the major supporter of the AEUG years later. So I can see this happening in some form.

If Kycilia escapes Axis stays unified, no civil war between factions, Haman does become leader, Gato may have received orders to not drop the colony but to perform hit and run attacks on stray Federation ships while searching for Zeon remnants. Capturing the Gundam Prototypes and reverse engineering them would lead to even better moblie suites. The question is whether or not a focus on building moblie armors would happen before the timeline of Zeta Gundam

It's possible that the last princess of the Zabi empire will die and have haman do revenge effectively making her the true leader of neo zeon bec char is dead and glemy would not revolt against haman and all their forces will be el pleo clones piloting quebeley mass production and instead of char vs paptimus vs haman it will only be haman and paptimus. Then psycho gundam vs quinmantha. Zz gundam will not be developed nor the nu gundam and the Alex gundam will be the last of the rx series. Just my thoughts.
