I have to add question to TheFreakedoutduck 's question, but wasn't number of Federations MS in battle of A Baoa Qu around 1200 and many more balls? We don't know how many MS Federation really made, only sure number of MS are from California base that made 500 GM until end of OYW.
I've always suspected that Zeon ace kills did include Saberfish etc. seeing as the Zeon Ace kill counts were significantly higher than the Federation's Aces. Seeing as the GM was superior in terms of firepower and acceleration to nearly every mobile suit Zeon had other than the Gelgoog, and were produced in such large numbers, it seems unlikely that kill counts would favor Zeon that much if it only included Federation MS.
One neat little note about Brenev Auggs that I recall is that a lot of his one-shot kills involved him getting into point-blank range with an enemy MS before shooting them in the cockpit or other vulnerable spot. Yeah Johnny Ridden earned more than enough of a reputation that he shouldn't be in Char's shadow. Also the irony is that Shin Matsunaga was under the command of and was a close friend of Dozle Zabi, then he ended up under the command of Amuro , the guy who killed his Vice Admiral and friend.
In the White Wolf manga, Shin Matsunaga and Johnny Ridden were not at the battle of Solomon because they were busy fighting each other between Solomon and Side 3. It took 5 Gelgoogs of the Chimera Corps to shoot down Shin's Zaku 2. What a waste of manpower
Zeon should of won the war. If they made an ace corps at the start. Amuro ray would have died . Imagine. J. Ridden, shin, dozle tri black stars, pilot of gyan. Forgot his name, and the others mentioned in one unit Trojan horse who?
@@freshness2569 - You can kind of blame Kycilia. She poached almost every single ace pilot who exceeded a certain kill count it seems, excepting the personal friends of her brothers. This left Garma with only Char Aznable at his command, and Dozle with only Shin Matsunaga. Ramba and the Black Tri-Stars were under control of M'Quve, who answered directly to her. Most of the ace pilots she poached were eventually funneled into the Chimera Corp, and ones with newtype potential were given to the Newtype Corp with Flannigan. Literally as soon as Char was 'free', she had him recruited as well. The only aces she was unable to wrangle away were the hard core Gihren loyalists like Anavel Gato. But otherwise, any ace who was not a personal friend of someone important, or being used as a guinea pig (like Daryl Lorenz) got sucked up by her. The Chimera Corp is more or less the ace corp you're looking for. It's just that they were never where Amuro was.. And as it turns out, it was Gihren's mishandling of the war, not Amuro's abilities, which cost Zeon. Interestingly, if Kycilia does not have a chance to kill Gihren it seems she simply defects according to Gihren's Greed, creating "True Zeon." She becomes disillusioned with his fascist tendencies. I wonder if she'd of taken all of the aces with her and how big of an impact that would make in the grand scheme of things.
My favourite is the White Wolf himself, Shin Matsunaga. Johnny Ridden was cool and all, but Shin took me by surprise. The Gelgoog Jager became my favourite Zeon MS because of how powerful, fast and awesome it was. As for Shin himself, it was his loyalty. I am a loyal person too, so I kind of understood the guy. White's my favourite colour (or shade), wolves are awesome, and the nickname "White Wold" is awesome.
Another thing I heard about Zeon's "kill count" is that they counted vehicles like tanks and jets to pad their numbers. As you stated, their total number exceeded the number of MS produced by the EFF during the One Year War....
Which is a detail I really like. As I recall it started as a mistake and rather than just retcon it they worked it in by writing it in that Zeon padded its aces kill counts to boost morale as they began to rapidly lose the war. It takes a canon disagreement and makes it fit seamlessly.
I remember Mark Simmons (one of the main Gundam localizers and THE Gundam guru for the longest time) going over it in-depth on the MAHQ forums a while back. His stuff is always worth a read.
In the beginning of the war, the feddies didn't have any mobile suits yet in their main army so it would be natural to count kills the way it was counted traditionally which was how many planes and tanks you shot down.
@serenadesihout Which is fine and all, but shouldn't be added to MOBILE SUIT kill counts. They should be listed separately from MS kills... for example- Zeon McZeonface: 5 ms kills, 10 fighters, 15 tanks, and 4 ships As opposed to- 30ms kills (everything combined) and 4 ships. Makes a HUGE difference since as Kakarot and many others mentioned the total number of Zeon Ace kills outnumber the total number of MS produced by the EFF during the One Year War. And that's just the top TEN pilots! I have a funny feeling that the EFF ace list might be inflated as well, since we see Amuro take down a considerable number of Dopps and Magella tanks.
These kill numbers are impressive when you consider how long the Feddies had no MSs to be counted as kills. Respect for Gadam. He fought the Gundam in an unarmed Zaku 1.
Great video. I always felt that Zeon was way more impressive than the Federation which seems to boast about Amuro's RX-78. How about a video on the Midnight Fenrir Corp? I love the _Zeonic Front_ video game since you really accomplish amazing feats during the OYW but sadly none of their victories really had meaning in the larger picture.
Hey Kakarot- just want to say I love watching your videos after I get bit with the nostalgia bug and want to load up Zeonic Front, and really enjoy listening to all the kind of details you dig up. Thanks man!
I get that Gundam Canon is all over the place and a lot of it is made independent of each other. But I find it low-key funny that MSV always says that Zeon gives their Super-Mega-Customs to “various ace pilots,” while the actual top aces in other media are stuck with normal mass production units. Like literally, Zeon in the EU and MSV: *Create like 15 “Super, High-Mobility, full armor, sniper, artillery, mega customs.” That rival Gundam units, but stop because of cost. Then give them to “various ace pilots”* Zeon’s literal top Aces: *Stuck with a gelgoog cannon at best*
I think it makes sense, since why would you want to give your best aces an untested potentially flawed machine when givIng them slightly suped up versions of the standard machines have proven to work much much better. Also most of the top aces are notably survivors of the OYW, which is probably because they 1. Never ran into Amuro and 2. Was never forced to use a shitty prototype and died because they weren't used to it.
@@kakarot197 Judging by the art of "Johnny Ridden" in the recent movile game, our so called hamburger man may have left a decoy of his favorite meal to go on to impersonate another Zeon ace.
I had a dream that I was watching an ova about char where it was revealed that the only reason that new-types were so effective in combat is that the suits were actually human sized armor but the new-types were mk-ultra'ed into thinking that they were piloting "mobile suits" to increase the level of separation for taking life. Messed me up man.
Surprised Anavel Gato isn't in there given how hyped up he was as an ace. I guess maybe there isn't enough information to show how big of an Ace he was.
well, they did also kil ALOT of ghosts, rocks, and other things, because, that sum is pretty big, its a miracle zeon lost considering the amount of kills these aces got! i mean, they were able to destroy more enemy units, then that unit actually produced!

My thing about ace pilots is treating them like a knife in a fight. You gotta protect your knife. What they can teach that propagates their talents is far better than losing them in small firefights or battles already assumed to be lost.
Great work as always, Kakarot! Hearing that music just makes me wanna go back and play Zeonic Front soooo much; either that, or just keep wishing for a current-gen sequel, haha. Zieg Zeon!
I'm actually pleasantly surprised that 5 of the 6 people I expected to be on this list were not here (Char, Ral, Ridden, Tri-stars). That said, I also haven't actually watched more than a couple episodes of the original MS Gundam yet. After watching The Origin, I'm very much tempted to try to get back to it.
There is a line that is repeated about Johnny Ridden throughout different interpretations of him. "I am/He is Johnny Ridden, and there's no way that I/he would die that easily." And sure enough, in almost every versions of Johnny, he has never been said to have died after the battle at A Baoa Qu, only noted as Missing in Action.
Johnny ridden is in my school vr game Johnny ridden was killed in action in his gelgook hm type and it was confirmed in a dream cutscene where tanjirou saw goalius took it out and fyi goalius himself confirmed it when he accidentally mistaken the gelgook with a man 01 zaku
A reason for the discrepancy between their total kills and federation production could be the repeated rebuilds of federation suits suits with spare/salvaged parts.
MS kills shows quite something. Either its an exaggeration, or every combat vehicles of Feddies are counted as one (Balls, type 61, those space combat fighters). Or, Feddies produced enough GMs to throw enough at Zeon that even with that much killed, they still overwhelmed Zeon at Ao Baoa Qu, which is before estimated half of em being vaporized due to Solar Ray System.
I hazard Zeon included vehicle kills, such as Federation space fighters, and not exclusively mobile stuits as part of their tallies. After all, at the start of the war, there were no Federation mobile suits to shoot down. If they wanted aces before the federation deployment of their own mobile suits, they'd have to count them. Alternatively, Zeon had "padded" the scores of their top aces for propaganda purposes; sell the populace heroes with impossible feats so they too would join the war effort.
I agree. Amuro only got as many kills as he did because Zeon would just not stop throwing fighters at him. Even taking into account stolen mobile suits and Federation production, there is just no way Zeon aces could have racked up that number of mobile suit kills individually in the last three months of the OYW. Now it is possible that 'kills' could have translated to 'damaged enough to flee the battle', but the numbers still seem way too high.
@@SmokeOnTheWater108 It has been said because Gato was placed into the royal guard for Girhen Zabi sometime after the Battle of Solomon and not on the front lines. Which if this is the case, if we keep going with the idea of Zeon being Space Nazi's, that would make Gato a member of the fanatically loyal SS of Zeon.
@@Sargonarhes His fanaticism in 0083 is strange since he first served with Dozle. But being stuck on a ship with Delaz probably turned him into what we see. At least Delaz is the Zeon equivalent of a Grey Man and not Matias Torres.
Some great pilot especially pilots who have been piloting a mobile suit from the start of the war. The federation only us pilots who only have 2 to 3 week experience except for a few exceptional ones. So at the end it's ain't a fair fight if the federation did have pilots who were using mobile suit in combat for 7 to 8 month Zeon would have been roasted with little to no sweat.
Not a single GOUF, only one DOM, is it just me or are the suits weirdly represented? Another reason fo the high numbers could be that the Earth Forces rebuild suits from parts, which raised their numbers above what they actually produced, plus they used captured Zeon suits as well, pushing their numbers further. Also they might count the Ball units to MS count as they are not fighters/planes and often fielded aside MS.
One of the big reasons is that Goufs were primarily deployed on Earth and actually didn't fight many Mobile suits until 3/4 of the war was over. And by that time they were getting overrun. They mostly went against Type 61 tanks core fighters. Also, space battles could net MUCH bigger "kill" numbers since the numbers in an engagement were much higher.
yeah probably. The Gouf was a close combat suit built for earth. Even though they were very good a Dom with a bazooka or even a Zaku 1 sniper is going to outscore a Gouf with the same operational time simply because it has more targets of opportunity. They could probably kill most targets before the battle even got into the Gouf's functional range.
These numbers make very little sense when you consider how many MS the federation fielded, this would mean that regular pilots scored almost no kills or the entire federation MS force was wiped out despite winning. Nearly all these kills would need to have happened during the last couple of months as well which pushes suspension of disbelief even further.
Random question to everyone: if you were a ace on ether side what would your main suit be? Optional bonus: what would your emblem, colors, and nickname, and name in general be?
My main suit would be a Gelgoog HM Type, my emblem would be a Spear with a silver tip, my nickname would be Silver Streak, my personal colors would be Silver, and Blue.
I don't know which ace i like most because ive only seen the og trilogy, im going to watch origin soon, and then will document the one year war to memory, as i have with other franchises
It really says something about how many Gundam authors wanted to make their own super-cool Zeon ace OC that _nobody_ from 0079 is on this list. Sorta like how Star Wars Legends was chock-full of Sith Lords who could allegedly blow up planets with their mind.
I'm kinda newbie compared to you guys here and I'm also unaware of the numbers, but... No Eric Blanke???! No Ramba???! No Gato???! No Norris???! Or even Cima, I don't know. And what about Daryl Lorenz???
Does Vincent Gleissner count as a Zeon Ace pilot? I ask because in the side story "Missing Link", he destroy the Pale Rider Mobile Suit (which use a variant of the EXAM system named HADES) on his own at the battle of A Baoa Qu and it's kinda a huge deal to me.
If you play through Shin Matsunaga's story in Mobile Suit Gundam: Encounters In Space, Matsunaga sorties alongside Dozel Zabi when Dozel takes out the Big Zam.
Shin Matsunaga: So you must the famous Red Comet. *Referring to Johnny Ridden's Red Blitz nickname mistakenly* A very annoyed Johnny Ridden: It's the Red Blitz, sir...
Thanks for the effort to do this, I Just want to point out that your work had been noticed and though people did not reply much, I will say it for them all, Thank you. Me personally don't like this kind of kill count, it feels too fake, and they can make up anything they want. They try to replicate the aces in WWII Germany, but it feels so unreal. 100 GMs per personal? In the TV show, Amuro shot down 12 Doms within 30 mins and I call bullshit, and this is much worst than that.
Agree. The length of the One-year war is only 12 months, WWII Germany fought for 6 years. There is not enough time for 100+ aces at the first place since the E.F.F start having MS in July, which only leaves less than 5 months to create aces. Of course, they can count Balls and other MAs as kills to make up the aces for propaganda purposes, but what gives?
Yes, I do notice that. But we are counting kill counts by released documents, not propaganda materials. We cant just all blame it on propaganda to make them not guilty of making up these numbers. They sure make up theses 100+ ace, and now we justify it by "propaganda proposes", that's not right!
Did you watch Tbhunderbolt? I recall in the last episode some guy in a rick dom scored tons of kills with his autocannon from so far away then proceeded with his heathawk to get a few more. i can only imagine what actual aces were doing.
Thunderbolt is not Gundam 0079, not one-year war. It is a different world, even if it has the same setting. I don't like Thunderbolt, things get ridiculous in this show. Thunderbolt is only watchable post one-year war, even then it makes zeon super strong. Post one-year war in Thunderbolt zeon ground force can still have a huge organized military, they can still raid villages and kill civilians with gunships and U-boats.
@@tamatamappi I have checked the profiles, no it is not high mobility but a normal one, so yes there is gunpla for normal gundam but not for this specific color
Will you make a video based on the aces at some point? Their background i mean like shin matsunaga when he returned from wherever he was after dozles death
You also have to remember that Char spent a large chunk of the war not piloting his MS. From the time Garma died to Jaburo. Gato meanwhile, was part of a defense unit and likely did not see much MS on MS combat until the lead up to Solomon and A Baoa Qu.
True, but Gato did F up a HUGE number of Feddie ships and their numbers, and with the rest of Operation Stardust, something that affected the UC timeline all the way until G-Savior.
Char was more of an objective player - carry the mission, get out. Most of his portrayals in the anime didn't show him prioritizing kills much. Although he was good with situational awareness, and could take down a ton of ships, he often ran out of energy and had the nasty luck of getting bogged down by handling Amuro in the Gundam.
This video kinda further points out the great Zeon favoritism by Sunrise and everyone working on the older Universal Century Time material, especially anything around the OYW Compared the fact we have multiple alternate storylines for Johnny Ridden One all about Shin and his post war stuff Numerous model kits for them and others And then everything to do with Char Where as on the Fed side…..besides anything involving Amuro we just have Lydo’s one shot manga which just introduces how he went from fighter plane Ace to a mobile suit Ace And that’s it, as if the video games weren’t bad enough I personally hated how much everything made after the original show was like the creators trying to do everything to humanize Zeon as much as possible while demonizing the Federation to the point of obnoxiousness Like it felt like everytime we were presented with Zeon soldiers on the front and Fed commanders it was like the proverbial hammer to the face: “See Zeon has Good People!” “Fed are led by a bunch of monsters nearly as bad as the Zabis!”
I mean, the feds get plenty of side stories. Like Blue Destiny, Rise from Ashes, Space to the End of Flash, Lost War Chronicles (half of it at least), (part of) Missing Link, Night=Hawks!, We are Federation Hooligans and more recently we have Aggressors and Red Giants.
Mobile suite gundams encounter in space was the best one on PlayStation 2 and more it within more in-depth of the character especially in the fighting mode rather it was federation or Zeon
I wanted to ask in UC Zeon or Federation say which pilots if given another option would likely defect to a good faction if force to or get out if given a choice ever since Noisy Fairy Pilots who would have killed on site if they return home if not for the bad situation on Earth just a thought as Cima frame for something she didn't know had me thinking A moral side to get out or do what right
I noticed that pretty much all of the aces of zeon never used a Doga or any mobile suit that uses bits of any kind, minus Char but he an't on this list, and personally I wonder why? The Doga, much like the Qubelley, is a odd suit yes. But if you can master it.....you can turn into a beast on the battlefield. I mean yes a Zaku is LITERALLY the most iconic suit of Zeon but if I've learned anything from Char you can make any suit a monster with enough battles.
Because the Doga wasn’t built till CCA, these are ONE YEAR WAR Zeon aces, and most of them retired after the war, with the exception of Johnny ridden who still preferred his Gelgoog.
Realistically how would kills be tallied with so many mobile suit fights taking place in mere seconds? Were there automatic counters in their mobile suits to assist or were kills recorded by wingman?
The return of Johnny Ridden is my favorite Gundam manga series so far. I wish it gets animated. So many prototype and custom MS make cameo in the series.
Noris is probably going to be in the in the Top 3 from what I have heard and seen 5:11 He even WORE something similar to Char! I wonder if Brenev would fair against Char Aznable🤔
The most unreal out of all, Brenev Auggs. He did not spent much time on the battlefeild, mostly stay in Side 3. Yet he got so many kills, and they report that he was willing to leave wounded to he's student to finish off, so he could be scoring even more? I call hacks!
so during the one year war not only the rx-78 was not the only gundam deployed ? dunno if the RX 79 counts as a real gundam cause it uses GM parts like armor
The list is sorted by number of kills. Char and Gato were amazing pilots, but Char got stuck on Gundam duty most of the time and was discharged after Garma's death and ended up missing most of the war, whilst Gato was on a defensive team and so didn't get to fight very often, so they both ended up with less kills than the guys on this list.
if i was an ace i think i would want to paint my machine colors i like but at the same time i think Brenev Auggs had the right idea. with standard colors you don't stand out so there is no large target painted on you, other pilots don't know they are taking on an ace when they see standard colors but they figure out they were dealing with an Ace just before they die.

Trojan horse who?
@@onigojira Kycilia is little better.
@serenadesihout
Which is fine and all, but shouldn't be added to MOBILE SUIT kill counts. They should be listed separately from MS kills... for example-
Zeon McZeonface:
5 ms kills, 10 fighters, 15 tanks, and 4 ships
As opposed to-
30ms kills (everything combined) and 4 ships. Makes a HUGE difference since as Kakarot and many others mentioned the total number of Zeon Ace kills outnumber the total number of MS produced by the EFF during the One Year War. And that's just the top TEN pilots!
I have a funny feeling that the EFF ace list might be inflated as well, since we see Amuro take down a considerable number of Dopps and Magella tanks.
probably they count balls, guntank, or some fighter as MS also...I think EF made a pretty decent number of balls in OYW

These kill numbers are impressive when you consider how long the Feddies had no MSs to be counted as kills.
Respect for Gadam. He fought the Gundam in an unarmed Zaku 1.
"Bye-grow"? I always call it a "Big-row"
Japanese pronunciation is Beegu-ro, so you're right.
Like literally,
Zeon in the EU and MSV: *Create like 15 “Super, High-Mobility, full armor, sniper, artillery, mega customs.” That rival Gundam units, but stop because of cost. Then give them to “various ace pilots”*
Zeon’s literal top Aces: *Stuck with a gelgoog cannon at best*
I think it makes sense, since why would you want to give your best aces an untested potentially flawed machine when givIng them slightly suped up versions of the standard machines have proven to work much much better.
Also most of the top aces are notably survivors of the OYW, which is probably because they 1. Never ran into Amuro and 2. Was never forced to use a shitty prototype and died because they weren't used to it.
You should do a video on Zeon pilots that had the potential to be Aces if they didn't die early
Do you prefer your hamburgers well done or 1-kill-short-of-being-an-ace?
Kakarot197 well done
We don't need another pile of hamburger.
Gadam should be on the list. He fought the Gundam in an UNARMED ZAKU 1.

@@kakarot197 Judging by the art of "Johnny Ridden" in the recent movile game, our so called hamburger man may have left a decoy of his favorite meal to go on to impersonate another Zeon ace.
I had a dream that I was watching an ova about char where it was revealed that the only reason that new-types were so effective in combat is that the suits were actually human sized armor but the new-types were mk-ultra'ed into thinking that they were
piloting "mobile suits" to increase the level of separation for taking life.
Messed me up man.
Surprised Anavel Gato isn't in there given how hyped up he was as an ace. I guess maybe there isn't enough information to show how big of an Ace he was.
He got pulled back after Solomon, so he didn’t get any much noteworthy fights after it.
Thats a lot of poor GMs, Salamis', Magellans, and maybe even Balls.
well, they did also kil ALOT of ghosts, rocks, and other things, because, that sum is pretty big, its a miracle zeon lost considering the amount of kills these aces got!

My favorite Zeon ace is Johnny Ridden. Reason, he seemed to have a pretty realistic grasp on how the war was going for Zeon
the overshoot in numbers might be because not all of these men were made to exist simultaneously. they're all mainly from different sub media.
"I am/He is Johnny Ridden, and there's no way that I/he would die that easily."
And sure enough, in almost every versions of Johnny, he has never been said to have died after the battle at A Baoa Qu, only noted as Missing in Action.
Kakarot man I just found you but I love the content keep it up. I love Gundam.
I always liked Shinn Matsunaga a lot. Also love hearing the zeonic front music.
Iam suprised ....only one DOM Pilot among the Aces
Bad Treatment of the machine Spirit the DOM require at least 9 hours of cuddling before Combat to function correctly.
Didn't matsunaga pilot the Grey zeta in the end?
Yep
Kakarot made mention of that by mentioning that he joined the AEUG.
Kakarot197 i was so giddy when you made a small reference to that!
He use dom to, on manga though
...........................!
Federation Soldier: wait they are all blonde
Zeon Soldier: always has been *shoots*
You make a fantastic job with these videos, thanks.

No Anavel Gato?
Kevin McMonagle BRO!!! That’s what’s I’m saying lol The Nightmare of Solomon didn’t make the list?
@@SmokeOnTheWater108 It has been said because Gato was placed into the royal guard for Girhen Zabi sometime after the Battle of Solomon and not on the front lines. Which if this is the case, if we keep going with the idea of Zeon being Space Nazi's, that would make Gato a member of the fanatically loyal SS of Zeon.
Sargonarhes Interesting bro, I hadn’t even considered that🤔
@@Sargonarhes His fanaticism in 0083 is strange since he first served with Dozle. But being stuck on a ship with Delaz probably turned him into what we see. At least Delaz is the Zeon equivalent of a Grey Man and not Matias Torres.
@spec ops I'm honestly surprised there isn't more of an overlap. However
Zeon had a lot of great pilots. Ultimately they just didn't have enough of them or just personnel period.
AEUG and Titans aces of the Gryps War when?
Kurt Roswell & Robin Bradshaw
with Kurt as one of the Pilot getting his hands on the Zaku HM R2
and both of them fought so many Aces and survive
So there are Gouf pilots that simply didn´t get the kill counts because they didn´t find enemies...
yeah probably.
Yooo that song is giving mad childhood memories of gundam encounters in space
These numbers make very little sense when you consider how many MS the federation fielded, this would mean that regular pilots scored almost no kills or the entire federation MS force was wiped out despite winning. Nearly all these kills would need to have happened during the last couple of months as well which pushes suspension of disbelief even further.
The kill count would also not count Federation Mobile suits that were salvaged and repaired later as well.
As far as I can see, among these aces, Shin Matsunaga and Johnny Ridden seem to be the ones getting the most attention.
My favorite Zeon Ace pilot is Johnny Ridden.
Good taste
Random question to everyone: if you were a ace on ether side what would your main suit be?
Optional bonus: what would your emblem, colors, and nickname, and name in general be?
Lost Ones soul Zaku 2 high mobility type R2. My colors would probably be just black.
Mr RE ....huh....I think you just made a stealth unit for Zeon....

Mah boi Shin :') Him and Dozle make a great team. Glad he survives!
I can't find any information on Greniss Escott. He's an interesting character and I want to know more
I love to see all these old type doing great on OYW, All skill no hocus pocus
note: There is a possibility that Type 61s and fighters are counted in as MS kills by the zeon side
Some sources state that Char has 300 MS, ball, fighter, and tank kills. His ship kills are 16 according to my count.
Fantastic... 7 more Zaku's I need to build (Already have Shin Matsunaga).
It's Ranba Ral for me! He's the sort of man I'd GLADLY follow into battle, even if I were piloting an MS-06J Zaku II!
It used to be canon that Zeon was extremely guilty of inflating their aces' kill counts to boost morale as the war turned against them.
Heck yea! Love the Zeonic Front music!
Shin matsunaga and johnny raiden are two i can respect

Will you make a video based on the aces at some point? Their background i mean like shin matsunaga when he returned from wherever he was after dozles death
I'm shocked they didn't give char an inflated kill count due to how popular he is
The problem for his kill count is that he was mainly clashing with Amuro by the time that the Federation had any MS to kill.
Another good video
WOW Char and Gato were not even on this. XD
Fame doesn't count much when it comes to collecting kills :P
You also have to remember that Char spent a large chunk of the war not piloting his MS. From the time Garma died to Jaburo. Gato meanwhile, was part of a defense unit and likely did not see much MS on MS combat until the lead up to Solomon and A Baoa Qu.
True, but Gato did F up a HUGE number of Feddie ships and their numbers, and with the rest of Operation Stardust, something that affected the UC timeline all the way until G-Savior.
Jetblast01 Most of those kills happened after the OYW.
This video kinda further points out the great Zeon favoritism by Sunrise and everyone working on the older Universal Century Time material, especially anything around the OYW
Compared the fact we have multiple alternate storylines for Johnny Ridden
One all about Shin and his post war stuff
Numerous model kits for them and others
And then everything to do with Char
Where as on the Fed side…..besides anything involving Amuro we just have Lydo’s one shot manga which just introduces how he went from fighter plane Ace to a mobile suit Ace
And that’s it, as if the video games weren’t bad enough
I personally hated how much everything made after the original show was like the creators trying to do everything to humanize Zeon as much as possible while demonizing the Federation to the point of obnoxiousness
Like it felt like everytime we were presented with Zeon soldiers on the front and Fed commanders it was like the proverbial hammer to the face: “See Zeon has Good People!” “Fed are led by a bunch of monsters nearly as bad as the Zabis!”
Where did the animation of MSV pilots come from?

For both sides individually
why wasnt char on the list? is it because the other aces had just better numbers?
Eric Manthfield's score was also doubtful, consider he also have limited time on battlefeild. He mainly stay in Side 3.
I wanted to ask in UC Zeon or Federation say which pilots if given another option would likely defect to a good faction if force to or get out if given a choice ever since Noisy Fairy
Pilots who would have killed on site if they return home if not for the bad situation on Earth just a thought as Cima frame for something she didn't know had me thinking
A moral side to get out or do what right
thank you for pronouncing Johnny Ridden's name properly.
Are these mobile suit kills counting fighters too?
Los aces de zeon, tuvieron muchas más bajas de mobile suite que los de la Federación, Zeon era superior?
Sieg Zeon!
What about Cima Garahau and Erick Blanke?
the discrepancy you mentioned, could it have been filled with ball units shot down?
Does anyone know what Norris packard’s and anaval gato’s kill counts are?
Realistically how would kills be tallied with so many mobile suit fights taking place in mere seconds? Were there automatic counters in their mobile suits to assist or were kills recorded by wingman?
TheBattleMaster100
I assume gun-camera footage, like was used in WWII.
Most of these weren’t mobile suits, it was a majority of ball’s and Saberfish.
The return of Johnny Ridden is my favorite Gundam manga series so far. I wish it gets animated. So many prototype and custom MS make cameo in the series.
So I assume Gato and Char would be the 10th and 9th respectivly?
Noris is probably going to be in the in the Top 3 from what I have heard and seen
5:11 He even WORE something similar to Char!
I call hacks!
.......................!
The majority of the federations forces were saberfish & Balls, he could easily take out a fuck ton of those early on in the war.
so during the one year war not only the rx-78 was not the only gundam deployed ? dunno if the RX 79 counts as a real gundam cause it uses GM parts like armor
Im sorta surprised Gato and Char isnt on this list.
True, but being identified as an ace adds a good intimidation factor to your enemies and highly raises the morale of your comrades.
