Your cooking is giving Cole’s future wife a run for her money! I love how you accommodate your family’s taste buds. I just found your channel and I’m a new subbie! ❤️
No sugar in my cornbread. No sugar in my tomato sauces either ! I love sweets candy and deserts. I also love savory. Bbq sauce honey and brown sugar the one exception. I do want to try the sugar with green beans recipe I have seen. I'm rambling but no to sugar in southern cornbread. Savannah cornbread has to have sugar if you have not had it .......I think it's sort of like pound cake
Mandy I love watching and listening to you and your family. I learned so much watching you and your husband. My husband cooked and showed me so many things. He was a police officer and a part time cook and a part time school teacher. He died in 2016. I miss him so much 😢 and I know he was always watching you too. May God bless you and your family always
Nice to see the cast iron skillet from stevens grandmother! I have my grandmother's cast iron skillet and dutch oven with lid. I will be leaving them to my son who lives to cook! Family's fight over that stuff you know! And cornbread never tasted better than when made in the cast iron skillet!!
Cole rocks in the kitchen. I am in my 70's and love seeing young people help in the kitchen..fresh ingredient cooking!!! So good. Manicotti is my weakness. Gonna try this, love the cheeses chosen.
Mandy, Cole is so handsome and love when he puts his face into the camera with his expressions! So funny! Loved all 3 of these recipes. I love cornbread with just a tad of sugar. Bacon and cheese also make it yummy too. Hugs to Gracie Lou. She is just so precious. Thank you for another great video. Happy Fall y'all! 🐱🎃🍁💟
I put sugar in my cornbread depending on what I am having it with. Savory things like chili, no sugar. Sweeter things like with honey for breakfast, absolutely sugar!
l use to put my mushrooms and onions in a food processor cause my boys didn't like mushrooms or onions, and then add them to stuff, and they never new it for quite awhile, and about a month or so l finally told them, and they said they loved them.. Just an idea, unless you tried this sneaky mom's way, lol
Hi Lesley, there are some things in Mandy’s recipes that I struggle to think of which can be used as a substitute, her meals are all so tempting! I made a recipe from a website called All Recipes, the recipe was Manicotti (something which I can’t remember now) and managed to “make” Italian sausage from an internet recipe by taking pork sausage meat out of the skin, and adding herbs, it was delicious.
I am 100% a southern bell and I like my cornbread both ways. Depends on the meal which way it will go. My dad used to take hot, unsweetened cornbread and add sugar and milk to it. That's delicious too!
I love your recipes and your sweet family, and you, of course. I can't wait for a new video each week so I can find a new meal to try out. I am a grandma and a great grandma and I have been cooking for my family for 43 years and after that long it gets a little hard to think of what to cook. I am always inspired by your recipes and they have been a hit with my family also. Thank you for sharing with all of us. God Bless you!
I love making cornbread in a cast iron skillet! And I love Philly cheesesteak anything! I just started my cooking channel last month so you are an inspiration!! Can’t wait to watch the rest of your videos ❤️
I grew up on Jiffy cornbread but I've grown out of love for Jiffy and make my own cornbread with no sugar. I agree with you 100%. Thanks for the video and have a great weekend.
You all have become my MUST watch favorites!!! My son is a 19 year old college sophomore and has really taken an interest in cooking. When he comes home we always decide on something to make together and refer to your channel a lot!!! Thanks so much, we love it!!!
I’m so glad I stumbled across your channel a few weeks ago! Your family is just so adorable! I love how you guys interact with each other! I love that Gracie is a part of the videos too! Keep up the great work!
Just to give you a much easier way to make this, do everything for the filling the same, but instead of manicotti, I use medium/large shells. Cook the pasta. mix in the sausage mixture plus one can of diced tomatoes & half the cheeses, pour in a casserole dish & top with remaining cheese & bake. Super easy. Thanks Mandy, looks delicious.
I live in SC, and yes, I love SWEET cornbread! I make the honey cornbread and add more butter and honey on top when it’s hot out the oven... sooo good!
love your sound quality wearing the mic really makes a difference! also just love your videos so much good inspiration for meals to cook for my fiancé and i 🥰
Loved this video Mandy! It was so sweet seeing Cole help you in the kitchen too 😊 also I love the music you use, it's never 'off-putting' like so many others I've seen. Great quality and the dinners look amazing as always! 🙂
I was having lunch with a Marine Generals’s wife and as we chatted about our love of Southern food (she was from the Deep South) and her words “Janet you know a Southern gal nevva puts sugga in your cornbre-ad”. This was said in the most perfect southern drawl. I never put sugar in my cornbread either, but my mother did because she learned to cook from a cookbook that was evidently not southern🥰. One of my favorite memories❣️
I'm going to try that manicotti recipe. That looked so simple and delicious! It's one of those meals where you can mess around with it until you fine that golden combination. Another great video!
Hi Mandy we love your channel. My hubby and I made your Suby supper last night. It’s definitely a keeper we cannot believe how good it was. Thank you from Oklahoma!
Just have to tell you, last night I made your cornbread recipe. That is the absolute BEST cornbread I have ever made! It turned out perfect! That’s for the great recipes!!❤️
I had to look up manicotti pasta (I’m from the U.K.) it’s called cannelloni here! I would add fresh basil leaves across the top too, as I make a very similar recipe and always add basil leaves x
Yummmm these all look delicious. I love Gracie Lou and makes her appearances. I have two kitties and a dog, I love your channel and all the great meals you make. Your family is so precious.
Your hair looks so pretty curled. 😍 I love seeing little Gracie Lou. We have the same type of cat, but our Sheba’s coloring is more dark gray, black, and some white around her mouth😻. Can’t wait to try these yummy recipes - that manicotti! 😋
Have you always known how to cook? It just comes so naturally for you. And I love that your guys always seem so appreciative of what you do. As I’ve said before thanks for sharing your expertise!
I am so so so glad I ran across your channel this week. I can’t get enough of you, the family and your cooking choices. So delicious, informative and entertaining. You are quickly filling up my “saved” file. You have me hooked. Thanks again
I’m from the west coast and I have to say I’ve never really loved any cornbread I’ve tried. However! I’m pretty sure all of the cornbread I’ve tried has been really sweet so maybe I need to try it without! ❤️
Mandy, I just love you videos. I fix your butter noodles and beef, with the french onion chips and onion dip. Man was that good. Family came Sunday dinner and just loved it. I served it with cook cabbage and all of everything was ate. Thank you for this.
Yum! Those all looked good!! I love your hair in the last part of the video & the burgundy top you were wearing!!:) can’t wait to try these meals, thx for sharing:)
Just discovered your channel about a week ago and I just love your videos. Most everything you cook looks like something we would eat, unlike a lot of others I have watched. And BTW I really like your wavy hair in the subbie supper video
Your channel and community is just always so positive. Can’t wait to try the subbie supper chex chicken. We try not to deep fry a lot of things and my kids enjoy fried chicken. Maybe this dish will be a new family favorite. Btw, Steven reminds us of Tom hanks. 😃
I love manicotti! My mom used to make it from scratch, like the noodle part too! But then our family got too big for her to make it for so many. haha Great recipes! And the bloopers of course are always a win. 😀
I just found your channel and have already made your teriyaki chicken casserole... I have already bookmarked tons of your recipes to make and I believe this has now become my new favorite channel. Thank you and your family for taking time to share these great meals.
I'm from the west coast & learned corn bread from my mother, grandmothers' and southern corn bread/hush puppies from my mother-in-law! I use honey only & always yummy. Mandy, you have such a wonderful variety of great recipes. Thanks for the ideas!
Corn bread is something that isn’t a staple in the U.K. It looks delicious, and we don’t have a lot of Italian sausage, I made a manicotti sauce and used pork sausage to which I added the herbs which are in Italian sausage, I had some patience then 🙄 I love watching your dinner videos, they always make my mouth water!
@@debracoder3596 if you get a chance try homemade cornbread. Jiffy is good in a pinch.....I keep some in my cabinet. Making cornbread is easy. Basic ingredients. Hope you give it a try. You can even add grated cheddar, creamed corn and/or diced green chilis. Delicious! 🙂🙂
I am new here, so glad I found your channel while looking up recipes. Your recipes are easy to follow and most ingredients are my staples I always have on hand, so far I tried 4 and all were yummy and hubby also gave thumps up. Thank you for great dinner ideas, looking forward to Friday's new video from now on.😃
No sweet cornbread in this Arkansas house. :) For the cooking stains, try Grandma’s secret spot remover at Walmart. It’s a game changer on grease stains. Love your videos!
We do southern cornbread as well. The only difference is, we put the greased skillet in the oven to let it get screaming hot while we mix the cornbread. Then take the skillet out of the oven and pour the mix in the skillet. It forms an awesome crust to the bottom of the cornbread.
Mandy, I have just recently discovered your channel and its your fault that I can't get anything done around the house! I find myself watching your videos for HOURS!! You're amazing, and so is your family. Love your simple recipes and step by step instructions. I already have my own versions of several of your recipes, but I am looking forward to trying your take on them! Love you, girl! Lou Brooks
My momma was from NC. We ate white cornbread, no sugar, cooked in a cast iron skillet on the stovetop. She taught us to crumble it up in our milk. It was heavy and very dry but oh so good warm with butter!
If it has even a drop of sugar in it, I won’t eat it. If I want to eat something sweet, I will make a cake. If I want something to go with beans or other food I want Real cornbread with No sugar.
I can’t wait to try that manicotti!! Subbie supper seemed a little weird but looks delicious and the guys reaction was awesome so I think we will try it!
its pronounced Woostershir sauce lol, we just call it wooster sauce. Great recipes again Mandy. I learnt recently of a parmesan hack, when you get to the rind of the cheese, save it (it can be kept in the freezer) and anytime you're making marinara, bolognese etc, drop the rind in, it'll soften right up (you can lift it out at the end of the cooking) and flavours your sauce, try it, it really works. Thanks again xx
I love that your husband is so appreciative of your cooking and he loves everything , like its the best he has ever had....Love his reactions
He's the one who taught her about cooking & got her interested in it, she said. He was the one who cooked (really good) to begin with, she said
Thank you for being REAL with the bloopers. Sometimes cooking just does NOT go the way you think it will and that's totally okay!
Your cooking is giving Cole’s future wife a run for her money! I love how you accommodate your family’s taste buds. I just found your channel and I’m a new subbie! ❤️

Sweet corn bread for sure! It gives you the sweet/savory balance when eaten with chili that is heavenly.
Cole looks like you until he smiles and then he looks like Steven. Great recipes. I absolutely hate ricotta cheese so I'll try the 2nd dish.
Indeed, I always put sugar in cornbread. I never liked cornbread until I tried Jiffy!
The food looks great and your hair is beautiful in this video!
I love seeing Gracie in the videos she's a sweet heart
Luv watching you make all those recipes. You have such a beautiful family. Glad I found your channel.

The british just call it wooster sauce. That's also what they call the place it's named for. They often cut half the syllables out of place names.
I’m in Florence SC. And, I agree NO SUGAR in cornbread. I love a jalapeño cheddar cornbread the most.
I love your hair curly! I really enjoy your videos. Thank you!
The dub 😂 love it!! We just call it Wooster sauce but I prefer yours!
That color is great on you!
Mandy, I just love you videos. I fix your butter noodles and beef, with the french onion chips and onion dip. Man was that good. Family came Sunday dinner and just loved it. I served it with cook cabbage and all of everything was ate. Thank you for this.

In south ga, we don’t put sugar in our cornbread !
Ps: our dog also LOVES cheese !
Corn bread.... I've only ever used Jiffy. Lol. But I'm from the west so I wouldn't know real cornbread if it slapped me in the face LOL. 😂
Hahaha, that's so funny!
I'm from the west coast & learned corn bread from my mother, grandmothers' and southern corn bread/hush puppies from my mother-in-law! I use honey only & always yummy.

Sugar, no sugar, Jiffy!! Im a Cali girl! With a love for all!❤❤ call it cornbread and I'll eat it! 😂🤣
Your corn bread looks lite and fluffy, the way I like it.
My momma was from NC. We ate white cornbread, no sugar, cooked in a cast iron skillet on the stovetop. She taught us to crumble it up in our milk. It was heavy and very dry but oh so good warm with butter!
If it don’t have sugar, I don’t want it! 😂😂 I put extra sugar in mine.
Haha!!
In a 9x12...I add 1/4 cup of sugar for supper. Next morning my hubby is having cornbread and milk for breakfast!!!
If it has even a drop of sugar in it, I won’t eat it. If I want to eat something sweet, I will make a cake. If I want something to go with beans or other food I want Real cornbread with No sugar.
Hey girl!!!!! Thank you for all you do🥰❤️
Thank YOU for following along and watching and commenting ☺️☺️
I can’t wait to try that manicotti!! Subbie supper seemed a little weird but looks delicious and the guys reaction was awesome so I think we will try it!
My mother would make a cornbread we called corn pone. We ate it with milk and King syrup drizzled on top. I'm sure the recipe had sugat in it.
My daddy too!
its pronounced Woostershir sauce lol, we just call it wooster sauce.
