    Very detailed explanation of the process. Great video. Question... Does the customer ever see their mockup on Amazon? Does Hello Custom or I ever send them a mockup with their design for their approval?

      Thanks! You can setup the Amazon custom to show the personalization over the mockup using the Text and Image customization. I personally hide those in the top right corner as it is not an exact representation of the product.

    I was thinking the live preview was the big selling point. I am stoked myself to see the design change as I enter the information. Are you saying it will not be exact , like what the customer enters compare to what they gonna get if we enable it?

      Me too! I thought the live preview is huge! If I were to use it, I think I'll just preview the names or dates and not the image since that may be the biggest difference.

      Thanks so much! Yes, you can 100% do this 😄
      I personally only used data personalization, without text personalization and image personalization. So, it was just the mockup next to the input fields. My conversion rate remained constant with just the plain mockup, so I determined that I can save time by not making it dynamic and sell just as much. You can 100% do this for a better customer experience tho.

    I think there's a step you didn't explain that is, under Printify, in order to connect our Amazon store we need to apply for GTI exemption.

    How does HC know to make the image round??

      Magic :)
      If you use a frame inside of Canva, we are able to determine the shape in the PDF and fit the image to the same shape.

    Thanks for the video! Is it possible to combine two or more printify products into one Amazon custom listing? For example, a toddler size shirt and a youth size with the same design but I want to list the two different printify products under one size option listing for personalization. Please help! 😅

    Great video! Really helpful info... question will this work for custom shaped pillows that printify offers... so there are two scenarios i am thinking about... 1.) The customer would upload a picture of their dog for example and then the preview would show the pillow in shape of their dog(photo would need to be uploaded with transparent background though)...
    2.) I have a mockup image of the custom shaped pillow I have predetermined and made in canva with various fields for customization would these fields also be able to be dynamic and visible by the customer?

      Great questions!
      1) The customer would need to upload the dog image with a transparent background already to go. This may not always be the case, so you may need to manually do this, add it back to HelloCustom and then approve. Currently, HelloCustom sends PNGs to Printify to recreate the product. If Printify requires a different file time for this product type, it may not work.
      2) Yes, you can make text and image dynamic to the customer.

    Can you make a video that explains how to get the GTIN exemption for ornaments, mugs, and t-shirts on Amazon for someone new to selling on Amazon? I could really use some help with this. Been struggling for over a week

    Hi, Stephen in your tutorial for Hello Custom you teach to download the PDF as a CMYK but here for Amazon, you say to download the PDF as (RGB) Now I'm confused can you explain? Is it just because there's a photo in this design? Thanks

      Sorry for the confusion! It actually does not make a difference if you choose RGB or CMYK as the finished product will be printed in CMYK. I recently started saying to use RGB so the PDF looks the same as the PNG you used on Printify as PNGs are in RGB. I hope that helps :)

      Now that our Amazon US integration is live, we can look into other Amazon marketplaces. We also need to confirm with Printify if they plan to integrate with Amazon UK as currently they are limited to Amazon US.

    Uploading order reports is going to be quite annoying. Doing have a specific time where we will no longer have to do this?

      Yes, I 100% agree! Amazon is SUPER strict with buyer data and although we do not need access to their personal information, they group the customization information with it since they typed it in. We should be fully vetted within 2-3 months.

    thanks, looks great. what's the challenge with the live personalization? I mean being able to display to the customer the personalized mockup straight in amazon is a big selling point and it does affect the conversion rate.

      He mentioned more then once that conversion is not affected. I have no real life data to support or contradict that. He does state though that the live personalization is just a bit more work and that the other way is his preference. My personal choice is going the extra step and allowing the customer to see the item with their own personalization. If conversions are truly not affected, I may reevaluate that extra work.

      @@ConnieN Having sold on Amazon Custom since 2021, I have accumulated experience and data that make me believe it does affect conversion rates. The main unique selling proposition (USP) of customizing an item is seeing firsthand the finished product before pressing the "Buy Now" button. I would personally take an extra minute to ensure the listing is optimized, but it needs to work flawlessly in HelloCustom. These are early days, and I'm sure the team is working on it-all in all, very good news for us!

    Why is there a limitation on the amount of products you can list per week?
    I tried to list more than one products from Sunday, it says 'I should wait till Sunday to publish another product

      Amazon does have a new ASIN limit, which can be lower for new accounts. If you publish a shirt with 6 sizes and 10 colors, that will be 60 new listings, so 60 new ASINs.
      Launching with non-apparel products may be ideal to get the account rolling as products like mugs, ornaments, tote bags, etc will only have a couple ASINs per product.

    How are you supposed to edit keywords for apparel? On the Printify side they don't have the keyword section. Will updating that in the parent listing then update for all variations?

    Really is not clear enogh why the text and number boxes are moved to the upper right corner of the mockup. The explanation for me was confuse about the labels and colors. For creation of tamplates the personalized image to be upload to HelloCustom, must be on always as a PDF format or could be uploaded as a PNG too?

    I hate to start a sentence like this in public because it makes me sound a bit ignorant but here goes, I'm confused. When I try to connect Hello Customs (a Brilliant addition to our world, Thanks Stephen) Amazon wants me to start a new account, is that right? Am I supposed to start a new account even though I already have one. Help?

      All good! It should not direct you to start a new Amazon account in order to integrate with HelloCustom.
      Are you signed in to your Amazon account when you click to connect? Amazon does require the professional plan in order to integrate with apps. So, if you have an individual plan, that may be the issue.

    Hey, if my products are primarily sold uncustomised, but sometimes customers want to change the text, should I continue setting them up as custom listings?

    I have a question, when I upload my mug design on HC, the image is blurry, even though it has 300 dpi and is clear on printify. I even compressed the file so that it'll load faster and the file size is not that big. But when you are doing it in the video, your image is clear. Do you know why that is?

      Sometimes if the editor is running slow, it will display in a lower resolution, but this is just the editor view. The graphic is still at 100% quality, where there is no loss in quality in using HelloCustom.

    I have an Amazon seller account. My account health is good. Every time I click the link to either register or sign up for custom it keeps giving me an error that I don't have permission to view the page. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this. I'm so ready to get rolling.

      I wanted to come in and reply to my own comment in case anyone else was having the problem I was. It had been about a year since I had sold on Amazon. I was selling retail arbitrage products previously. They had deactivated my account although I still had a healthy status because I hadn't sold anything in approximately a year. It was simple to get this fixed I just had to have them send me a postcard with the code and once I entered that then updated my banking information everything was fine and I was able to register with custom.
