And how to upload my current Etsy products to Amazon, without starting from scratch. All my photos have background images, and Amazon requires a white background, so I don't think I can just "transfer" the listings over there. Plus, I use Comfort Colors in my descriptions and it sounds like if you use a specific brand name, then the listing photo cannot be a mockup, but must be a a photo of the actual product. Any help you can give there will be greatly appreciated!!
hi taylor! what should my self-fulfilled return address on amazon should be as a print on demand seller?should it be my address (outside us) or address of printify provider?
thank you for your video, question: On printify side, do you need to set automatically fulfilled? if so, how the personalized orders will be covered then.
You can handle it the exact same way as you would with Etsy. For standard products (non personalized), auto fulfillment is good. For personalized products, I recommend manual fulfillment if you’re not using HelloCustom. But if you use HelloCustom then auto fulfillment works best to automate everything and be less hands on.
Hi Taylor, I've integrated my Printify with Amazon, but can you ( or a YT viewer) address the issue of the buybox option with Amazon listings. I do not see it with my listing & without it your chances of getting a sale are very low. What do I need to do and how long does it take ? Thanks
Ahh! Can you please do another tutorial for listing and shipping profiles? When you clicked off the screen for the Gtin number do we need to submit the page? I’m so confused 😅
Yes! I show where you submit and then the next screen it brought me to was actually a listing screen (to manually create a listing similar to what we can do on Etsy). I wouldn’t manually list products on Amazon though and just push the products from Printify to Amazon which is why I clicked away from that screen! :)
@TaylorPOD I am also running into issues with this! Nothing pops up when I follow your tutorial using a Tshirt. I can't go any further without inputting all of the description. If I hit cancel it just takes me back out. Any suggestions?
Thank you so much for all your videos and valuable information, Taylor. Do you know if Amazon will offer international shipping for our POD products, or is it only in the USA? If shipped internationally, do we need to apply for any VAT numbers with our businesses? I only ship in the USA on Etsy and wonder if there's any requirements when it comes to shipping internationally. Thank you for your time 🙏
You can offer international shipping in your shipping template! The Printify video I linked in the description shows step by step how to set up your shipping templates and it is incredibly helpful! I recommend watching that walkthrough. Printify handles anything VAT related for shipping 👍
Hi Taylor, for some reason I'm not getting the pop that states that a GTIN exemption was submitted even when I follow your exact process. I've tried this on a blank form with so many products and when I hit "next" it just takes me to the next product page but I never get the pop up. So printify isn't allowing me to connect. Any idea what's going on?
I learnt so much from this video but I can't seem to the cost benefit analysis for selling notebooks on Etsy vs Amazon via printify. How do u calculate which one is cheaper to do ? Pls help
All products that are not personalized have amazons return policy of 30 days by default. If you are offering personalized products that will be different in the listing and those products are nonreturnable/nonrefundable.
5:28 ...I had been stuck for 2 days trying to do this and was not getting the "External Product ID" option at all to be able to request the GTIN exemption. I thought my account was set up wrong, so i've been trying to figure this out for 2 days, lol...I just watched Printify's version on how to set it up and they did not click variations on theirs', so I unclicked "colors" under variations on mine and then suddenly the External Products ID showed up. I still had variations clicked...I was going to unclick them both, but since the section i needed came up after I unclicked colors, i left the variation one clicked and just didn't click anything in terms of specifying what the variation was, and that finally made the option to apply for GTIN exemption available to me and I got a pop up saying I was approved for the exemption and it would be updated to my account within an hour. So leaving this comment for anyone else who runs into the same issue I did...
I had something very similar. In fact, the t-shirt example, even if I completely deleted the draft still did not work. But after seeing your comment I tried a different product and sure enough, if I clicked variation at all, I lost access to the I don't have a Product ID checkbox. So for me, I had to not select variations either.
do you have a video on how to push the product to printify and adjust bc once its published there it is completely confusing how to get it actually live and edit tags etc. with shirts it makes a million listings , and I dont understand how you add tags to all of them thanks
Hi Taylor, i also have to do a Gtin exemption, i thought i have to fill in the whole listing to get it, but i saw that you not fill in everything and then click cancel, is this enough to get it, do i get any info from Amazon that i get it? Thank you very much :)
When I try to add another product for GTIN exemption it ask me if I want to discard the listing I made before how do I add multiple products for GTIN exemption
Thank you for the info. When I made a sale, I need to pay for production and shipping to Printify and after the customer get the delivered product, I get my royalty?
When going through thr GTIN exemption steps, do you end up hitting submit? You moved off that screen, but i wasn't sure if it was because you were showing an example? But in reality, I would've hit Submit? Thx!
Yes I hit submit. The final screen that I clicked away from was a manual listing screen. I didn’t add anything there because with Printify I’ll be pushing my products over directly and do not need to manually create any listings.
a few questions. I was having some problems getting approved to sell brand names (Gildan, Comfort Colors Ect.) I connected all my accounts. but I cannot get approved to sell brand name shirts from printify on to amazon. I keep getting declined. I want to be able to sell it under a brand. and not just the generic products.
In the section of the video on how to get a GTIN, you hit cancel on the last amazon page. Is it possible to obtain the initial GTIN without completing that last page as well as obtaining it without uploading the images?
I'm thinking of selling personalized t-shirts on Amazon with Printify, but I'm confused about it. People who shop on Amazon are used to being able to return products they buy for no reason. When I was selling on Etsy, I was able to let the customer know that I wouldn't accept returns. Is there a similar feature on Amazon?
Personalized products do not fall under the 30 day return policy and are actually nonrefundable/nonreturnable. I have a timestamp discussing this in the video!
@@TaylorPOD I commented on a few RUclips videos. You were the only one who responded. Thank you for that. I subscribed to your channel and I look forward to all your videos about Printify Amazon. ♥
No you need to submit the GTIN but the next screen after you submit is a screen for creating your first listing manually - that is the screen I clicked cancel on because I’m not creating a listing manually.
What about return policy? I see that Amazon enforces 30 day free returns so if the customer simply doesn't like the color or the design or maybe it's too big/small or simply changed one's mind it will return the product for free and this is really bad for this kind of business. Another tricky part is the delivery fee. I see that all Amazon Merch products fall into the free delivery category for orders over 35$, but if you're not on merch on demand I don't see the option to offer that. I think it's hard to compete with the free return policy and no delivery fee that merch on demand offers.
Can you help me please? I went through the whole Printify/Amazon process and got verified. The next email said I was associated with a store that is not mine. My store was deactivated. Contacting customer service is difficult to find. Can you help?
You mention to not add a brand name. I have this and GTIN for a product i was selling using FBA. Do i still enter my brand name in the brand field box on the form?
Im not familiar with FBA at this time so I’m not sure how to set up properly for those products. Brand name is not added in this case because I’m referring to print on demand products fulfilled by Printify.
I have one concern, when creating the shipping templets it doesn't say anything about production time line Etsy. There is a section that says handling time, but it only has a 1 day option. How can we fix that for items that takes more than 1 day in production? This could affect the account health because many products have longer production time. If you know how to fix it, please help!!! Thank you so much for sharing and helping us in this journey!! Stay blessed!!
And also how can we set the return policy for custom items. I haven't listed anything yet because I want to be sure that everything is correct and ready to prevent any issues.
I recommend checking out Printifys video for setting up shipping templates. It’s extremely clear and step by step how to get set up properly. When your products are set up as custom/personalized products the default policy for those items will be set - there is nothing you have to do to set the policy.
Thank you for mentioning this to those who don't live in the US! We don't have Etsy here in Brazil and now I have a little light to sell my products. I still can't afford to pay for advance orders, but I will be able to soon. The important thing is that the news is positive and your videos are enlightening!! Thank you very much!
hello!! I was able to follwo the printify tutoria on how to set up everything and i could put one article on amazon but I dont see howto add a personalization button for the customer who wants to order my item to customize. someone can help ? thanksss
Pricing: i assume there are no "% off sales" like you can do on Etsy. How do we price our products? What is Amazon's commission per sale? I'd love to see a sude by side comparison with Etsy vs Amazon and their fees.
You can run sales just like on Etsy! Pricing is super subjective and is going to depend on what you’re selling. I’d aim for at least 25-30% profit margin. I break down the cost of Amazon in the video, but to have an Amazon seller central account is $39.99 a month and 15% fee on each sale.
I researched that Amazon doesn't allow mockups on the main listing. Is there a way to do this without ordering every product we create and taking our own images? Thank you.
I am having difficulty with the Printify link you mentioned and embedded in your video. Would you please give me the link here as I need to lean how to set up shipping. Thank you.
I wanted to see the product you had publish on amazon, just to know if the add to cart button was there for the product. I was using printful and the products that I uploaded onto amazon wasn't showing the add to cart button. If anyone is successful with the integration and is seeing the add to cart button for your product let me know
It takes about 24-48 hours for the add to cart button to appear with your listings. This has been the experience for myself and members in my mentorship group.
Hello! Amazon's return and exchange policy gives buyers the right to return or exchange goods within 30 days! What to do with this? Is it possible to change this and indicate that we do not accept returns or exchanges!?
You cannot change their return exchange policy for standard items. If your items are custom/personalized they fall under a no return policy. So if you’re not wanting to offer returns/exchanges I suggest selling custom products!
so far the featured offer is the biggest issue on this integration.. i still can't understand why it doesn't show up , i mean u r literally working with prinitfy , huge stock , new products , big suppliers, i can't understand
Yep that's my issue. I hope some of these guys who are experienced in both POD *and* Amazon will chime in here. That said, this was a really informative video regardless.
I have been unable to figure out how to get the 14-28 day shipping profile set up like printify says you need - anyone cracked this code? Amazon said to me that 14-28 day standard shipping profile doesn't exist?
Hmm not sure. I’m also not sure why anyone would want a 14-28 day shipping profile when most print providers can ship in significantly less time than that 🤔 I have to image a customer who sees it may take up to a month to receive a product will be less likely to convert.
This is a bit misleading and confusing. In order to "Submit" you are required to fill out all other tabs otherwise it's not technically submitted and is only saved as a draft because as Printify Help Center states: "There are some product categories for which an exemption may not be necessary. If you follow the process described above and the pop-up doesn’t appear, but instead you see the product listing page on Amazon (see the image below), it means that an exemption is not required. In that case, you can quit the process on Amazon and proceed with publishing your product from Printify as usual." So to clarify this video, GTIN exemptions are for sellers of handmade products or unbranded items. Because you will list all items from Printify as "Unbranded" you will not need the GTIN exemption. If this is not accurate, would love a step by step video of what happens once you click submit as I do not see it.
As a seller not living in US how could I handle the 30 days return policy for stardard products? Can you list a standard product as a customizable product?
If the product is custom/personalized then yes. But you can’t “cheat” the system and say it is when it’s not. As far as living out of the US, you’d likely want to have your return address on your packages set to your address which you can do in your Printify account.
As an Amazon seller, you can choose what happens with returned items. I choose to have all returns disposed of, because I don't want to pay for them to be sent to me in Australia. I pay a small disposal fee, instead of international shipping. I read that Amazon donates all disposed products to charity. So as a foreign seller, I choose items that generally have lower return rates. Apparel has the highest return rate, averaging 30% I believe.
@@TaylorPOD Printify doesn't accept returns unless defective or damaged but yet Amazon allows for returns. This is the conflict that no-one seems to be able to (including Printify themselves) give out a clear answer to. And in the UK, according to their Gov.uk page, there is a hint that any item that you sell under POD comes under custom/personalised products. @StudioSam Are you referring to your inventory in Amazon's warehouse, that you pay a fee for disposal? If so, please correct me if I'm wrong since I'm a noob, but I don't think your comment applies to Amazon+Printify+Pod as Amazon wouldn't be dealing with this Pod inventory?
@@StudioSam are you using printify or printful? because printify won't allow returns (unless there are technical problems like damaged etc), and printful instead do allow returns.
@@elizabethg7806 Agreed! How easy to be able to just use Printify mockups for once! Will totally help listing efficiency eliminating the need to create tons of custom mockups :)

Amazon pays out biweekly.
When going through thr GTIN exemption steps, do you end up hitting submit? You moved off that screen, but i wasn't sure if it was because you were showing an example? But in reality, I would've hit Submit? Thx!
Same here, I found that rather confusing!
Yes I hit submit. The final screen that I clicked away from was a manual listing screen. I didn’t add anything there because with Printify I’ll be pushing my products over directly and do not need to manually create any listings.
@@TaylorPOD awesome! Thank you!
a few questions.
Can i do this from Canada, like to get verified on amazon seller centeral I have Canadian Govt. IDs?
Thanks a Bunch for this!!!
Of course!! Thank you for being here and watching 💕
If I am doing affiliate marketing on Amazon, can I integrate Printify with this account?
How do you set up your store in Amazon seller central? I keep getting asked for a brand. I am stuck.
So after I got to last step of gtin, I press cancel and thays it?
No you need to submit the GTIN but the next screen after you submit is a screen for creating your first listing manually - that is the screen I clicked cancel on because I’m not creating a listing manually.
What's about ads because Amazon has so much pod competition already due to Amazon merch
I think ads are a key component in any business. The best way to stand out against Amazon merch products is to offer personalization though.
Do you need the same email between Printify and Seller Central when you try to connect the first time and asking you authorization?
Nope!
@@TaylorPOD Thx!
Can you help me please? I went through the whole Printify/Amazon process and got verified. The next email said I was associated with a store that is not mine. My store was deactivated. Contacting customer service is difficult to find. Can you help?
Can you show us on the computer step by step of how to check our printify product on amazon….
Hi,i need your help,i am not seeing any buy button on my items listed on Amazon, what could be the reason, can you help?
Hi Taylor? How do I view my published Printify products on Amazon?
You can manage your inventory in the Menu bar
Can we use our same store name, and bank info that we use on Etsy?
Absolutely!
Maybe this is a silly question, but we need an EIN to sell on Amazon? I’ve been an Etsy seller for years and I’m pretty sure I didn’t need that.
Nope! You can sign up as an individual (sole proprietor).
@@TaylorPOD thanks!
I researched that Amazon doesn't allow mockups on the main listing. Is there a way to do this without ordering every product we create and taking our own images? Thank you.
They allow mockups. They just have to be plain white background mockups.
I am having difficulty with the Printify link you mentioned and embedded in your video. Would you please give me the link here as I need to lean how to set up shipping. Thank you.
You can also find the video on Printify’s RUclips channel!

I have a pop up store on Printify, I have my amazon seller account set up as individual plan, how do I integrate this store?
You have to have the business plan on Amazon for the integration.
Same. Did any of you figure it out yet?
I have been unable to figure out how to get the 14-28 day shipping profile set up like printify says you need - anyone cracked this code? Amazon said to me that 14-28 day standard shipping profile doesn't exist?
Hmm not sure. I’m also not sure why anyone would want a 14-28 day shipping profile when most print providers can ship in significantly less time than that 🤔
I have to image a customer who sees it may take up to a month to receive a product will be less likely to convert.
I completely agree so what are you setting as the standard ship time for your shipping profile and is printify meeting the timeline for you?
@@vrai6219 yes, that's correct. It's my FBA stock that I can have disposed of.
Quick question! Do we upload mockups to Amazon? Can we use Etsy mockups?
For Amazon you will need a mockup with a plain white background - so just using the Printify mockups is perfect!!
@@TaylorPODgot it! Thank you!
@@TaylorPOD That's refreshing news. 😄
@@elizabethg7806 Agreed! How easy to be able to just use Printify mockups for once! Will totally help listing efficiency eliminating the need to create tons of custom mockups :)
Has anyone tried to approve brands such as BELLA+CANVAS or Gildan?
I want to do this to get better exposure for people searching these brands… if I am assuming it would help in sales?
You didn't mention that you HAVE to have the professional plan on Amazon for $ 39.99/month to be able to integrate your Amazon account with Printitfy.
I actually do mention that at 7 minutes and 4 seconds into the video 👍
Can you do this if you are an alien?
Nope! 🥲🥲🥲
Thank you , @TaylorPOD...
Thank you!!!
