Thanks - just did install of 2TB Crucial M.2 SSD - everything was fine, but it took me about 3 attempts to get in slotted in correctly. Didn't quite have the alignment right. Great having a video to follow - many thanks.
I've tried the Samsung and the WD850 and they're very similar in read/write times and game loading. The WD850 is better overall IMO because it's good to go right out of the box. The Samsung needs an update in order to get the most out of the speeds and requires you to install it in an m.2 slot on your PC or have an external m.2 dock.
The 850 is the one I've been after but prices haven't dropped for ages. This one I got I've just noticed the 2TB is £170 on Amazon, must have just hit that price this week as I've only just bought the 1TB typical 😄
I remember when the 1TB first came out they were like £250. I feel sorry for the Xbox folk who have to buy that stupid little plug in 1TB thing, I'm sure it's about £200. Maybe in the next year we'll get a 2TB for around £150 with the heatsink on them

I also purchased a 3rd Party Heat Sink similar to yours but different brand. Installation of the SSD went fine, PlayStation showed me the speeds of 5460Mbs after I formatted it. I’ve moved a popular shooting game over to the M.2 SSD and will see how that performs ;)

great video, thanks, just one thing, after installing nvme with heatsink, you don't have to reassemble the metal cover of the housing, (the one with the screw marked with the triangle, square, circle and x symbols). The heat must be free to exit from the fins of the heat sink, if you close it in there you halve its dissipation capacity.
Hello, One of my controllers on the left thumbstick has heavy stick drift. The controller keeps going all the way to the left during menus and gameplay. Basically making it not playable. I'm wondering do you have a video on how to fix his issue or how to replace thumbstick?
Your pad might still be under warranty with Sony, do you know if its a 010 or 020 model? Or how old it is? If its less than 12 months old, Sony will replace it
It'll still be under warranty. If you Google Sony stick drift warranty or something you'll find the phone number to ring, then all you do is send the controller to them and they'll send you a new one in 21 days. I think my friends got theirs back within a week. One friends had to return 3 so far 👎

You'd be best off Googling your m.2 to check the rear and write speed, Sony have specific speeds you HAVE to have otherwise it won't work. This one I installed cost me something like £85 with the heatsink, they should be on offer again come Black Friday

No you can use both. I've maxed my 1TB out, mind it is games I never play, just started downloading stuff for the hell of it 😄 the price of these has really come down, you can get a 2TB for the price I paid on a 1TB

Hey man, if it's triangle that's the issue I've not heard that one before. Have you tried opening the kit and double checking all the connectors? Just sound like something isn't pushed in properly

I got a P5 Plus for my Aspire 5 (i-5). I formatted the drive in an external enclosure. Still gotta clone the original and swap them out.

I think it's just in case we need a spare, the PS5 already conveniently has one for us so we don't need to worry.

No the sticker stays on, check the crucial offical video they don't remove it and certain company's say you void the warranty if removed

I honestly have no idea. I play hours on end quite a bit and zero issues, a couple of friends have grabbed this SSD after finding out I had one
