I did everything exactly, but its not showing up in disk management ive been playing with bios settings for hours, scanned the internet and have no clue what I need to do, I have tuf asus z390 gaming wifi, im trying to install a crucial p3 as extra storage in my upper slot, but i have no clue why its not being detected at all
This video genuinely saved me from going insane, i thought that i had gotten a defective NVME, but the simple steps on how to set it up really help. Tysm.
The problem with the top slot is if you have to remove the drive (let's say it fails or is DOA to begin with) then you have to remove the GPU and in many cases the cooler to get it out. Plus it doesn't get as much air flow either. So if your PCH slot has the same specs as your CPU slot, then you might want to try that first and see how it goes. (This is assuming you're using less than three drives of course)
oh my goodness, the Sequential speeds are off the charts, good thing theyre so cheap like a 1TB for 50 bucks, getting mine tm can't wait for faster loading times.

Please keep in mind that if the m.2 drive is nvme it won't disable the sata ports on the motherboard only if the drive uses the m.2 connection for a sata drive.

Hi After 250GB Writes , the P3 Works like a HDD ! , Total Time to fill the Drive 160mins 1TB , in compare to another 1TB Drives which tooks avg. 10Mins like WD SN750/850 , you can read all that on Computerbase German Magazine , they Tested the P3/Plus

I'm hesitating between SSD Samsung 980 PCIe NVMe V-NAND M.2 2280 1TB MZ-V8V1T0BW and SSD Crucial P3 1TB NVMe 3D-NAND M.2 PCIe Gen3 x4 CT1000P3SSD8. You think which one is better ? I dont care about speed, just durability.
If you can afford to buy samsung, just go with samsung. Crucial P3 dosn't have DRAM in it. but samsung had it. And the TBW on crucial is quite low only 110TBW meanwhile samsung had 600TBW.
Maybe unrelated but when I follow the instructions crucial provides, after installing and turning on the laptop the next step is downloading cloning software. I don’t really understand this and why they have it as the next step rather than checking if this is what you want to do. Can anyone explain

i just recently bought a p3 tb ssd, sometimes i notice my disk drive activity light will stay on for a minute while gaming off of it but wont actually show any activity in the task manager, should i worry or nah? cause performance seems fine
THe fact they included thermal with 2280 pcie drives is dumb as they arent actually needed the drives dont make that much heat, my laptop which uses them has no thermal pads or shields and the drive is cool enough that it feels like a lukewarm cup of coffee.
My motherboard is msi h410m pro vh...does it support this ssd which is shown in video... In msi website this model doesn't shown in supported storage..? Pls tell sir

If you installed your other NVME and have both installed, they may share the same bandwidth. Refer to your motherboard manufacturers site to find out. Mine does that, so I got a slower one on one slot, and a faster one on the other slot so I can get close to the advertised speeds. More expensive motherboards do not have this problem, but anything above 1000mbps is more than adequate. Saving 0.5ms isn['t that big a deal.

If it doesn't appear in windows disk management then you might need to change a bios setting or try another port on your motherboard
