the member V actually is the main writer, composer, & producer for this song. he said he wrote it at a time when he was experiencing a burn-out & says he wanted to write it down. he says writing it down & releasing it really helps him & i think a lot of people can relate to what his thought process was.

He was involved in this in every aspect, but the song credits show he was not the main producer, writer, or composer
@@WE__BTS obviously there was help with the instrumental and writing process to switch the lyrics to fit the members since this song was originally going to be on Taehyung's mixtape, but this song is his since he has been involved throughout the process and even reached out to make the song that he already had the idea of become reality.

Our *Winter Bear, V, Kim Taehyung* wrote, produced and composed *"Blue and Grey"* I'm so proud of him, this was supposed to be a full English song for his mixtape but instead he made his brothers sing it with him.
I just wish he added original version ( English) in his mix tape..

Hey everyone! This album has been great so far, but we do want to address the comments that we have seen so far about using these color-coded lyrics. Unfortunately, we have already recorded all of the reactions for this album using Lemoring's color-coded lyrics. This was done based on past requests to use Lemoring rather than Jaeguchi because of the copyright claim issues they are a part of. We used them going forward, but now we have noticed all the comments about inaccuracies in the lyrics when translated to English, because they are done in a hurry. In the future we will be more conscious of this and use alternative translations when possible. As always thank you for the support we really appreciate it and can't wait for you all to watch us react to the next songs in the album!
I cringed so hard at that V line in particular @9:20 "I secretly picked up a horse in the air" What the hell is that?!?! Worse than google translate! 😂😂😂
These people are terrible because they want to be the first one to get that coin so they translate whatever sounds closest to get it done quicker.

So for ppl like us these translation accounts are saviours cuz i have no other way to listen to them. But i do agree with how these accounts take away views especially from the main MV cuz the MV always has translations.

V (the first one that sang this) wrote this one for his own mixtape, but they ended up using it for the group. I hope he still releases his version someday bc I’d love to see his take on it. This song was actually written/composed/produced by V for his solo mixtape, but the guys convinced him to use it for this album instead

V's vocals here remind me of his Sweet Night solo (in case you haven't reacted to that yet). It is as captivating and it's all in English.
As someone who has dealt with serious depression and suicidal tendencies, this song literally put into words what I’ve felt for so long. I’ve never felt like I could explain how I felt until I read the lyrics of this song, and it literally explained all of my feelings. And for some reason, even though it was sad, it was also encouraging to hear that because it felt like someone was finally understanding me, and I’m sure so many other people felt that same way.

I am so happy you loved this. V (Taehyung) wrote this for his solo “mixtape” EP. ( the one with the pristine skin). The team thought it was so good they wanted it on the album. He has a special personality, loves jazz, classical and rap music. Noah would love his other solo songs, Scenery, Winter Bear and Sweet Night. Winter Bear has a video. BTS are amazing at writing pieces that speak to your heart and have such deep meaning. Spring Day will break your heart, especially with its back story.

damn y'all are missing a LOT. BTS have all these "sad comforting" song in every single album. that's how they became popular after all, because they touch peoples emotions that cannot be said but they did it in the form of songs.
This is my favorite too. V sang it in the canoe by himself when he was In the Soop, BTS's filmed vacation. I do want to hear the version where V sings the whole song. Again, it is my favorite. Just so you know when they first started out...people said they weren't the ones singing. That they were lip syncing. Oh Yes, they CAN sing!!!!
Taehyung/V wrote and produced this song. It was going to be in his mixtape. The the rapline added their raps parts. The translation was wrong in a lot of parts.

This is definitely my favorite "sad" BTS song. Stigma is like my whole time favorite BTS song, it also has dark lyrics. The Truth Untold is also sad. Spring Day, Louder than Bombs, House of Cards too in a way.

YASS, TOTALLY AGREE. MONO IS EVERYTHING. It is that album that you listen to every time and never get tired, on the contrary, it captures you more and more
V wrote this!!! Jin was added to the group and had never sung or danced before. Jimin started out with a weak voice, but now excels in this song. When Jungkook started he didn't know he would be the lead vocal. He actually wanted to quit and just be a dancer. Suga was hired to produce songs for a HipHop group. He was an established rapper and they literally tricked him into being an idol. V went to an audition with a friend. His friend didn't make it, but they saw V and asked him to try out and they picked him. RM was an established rapper and had no idea he would be dancing in an idol group either. RM learned English by watching "Friends". He is the leader and has helped write most of the songs. He also is literally a genius with an extremely high I.Q. J-Hope was an established HipHop dancer and had never rapped or sung before. So from that start...All of their voices have improved so very much. They are much richer. Especially in this song.

i love the discussions u guys have in between verses. genius lyrics have a more accurate interpretation of the lyrics if u want look it up after every lyric video for a better understanding. these songs in the album are actually what the members have felt this year, especially since the pandemic. all their concerts and shows got cancelled, they couldn't meet or see their fans. v has also mentioned that the reason why he was constantly active on social media interacting with us was bc he needed the assurance that he was loved :( the bond BTS shares with ARMY is unparalleled.

This is why their fans are drawn to them. They never shy away from expressing themselves through their music. Granted we vacant never have the opportunity to thank them in person but we are allowed to be part of their lives through music, various shows they appear on and their social media accounts. They honestly feel like family unlike other artists that you never hear from them in their videos or arrest reports. Theses young men are part of all of our families. They have mastered the art of connecting with their fans. They are the biggest ⭐️s on the planet, yet they are the most humble humans in the 🌎 .

One thing I LOVE about Suga’s part in this song is how he somehow raps like it’s all one long sad sigh.. it’s amazing.. I could feel all his history of depression in his verses. It really moved me this whole song. It’s an instant top fav for me too. The way V hits hard in that opening line of “where’s my angel?” I felt that to the core.
You got the message although the subs aren't really accurate. But yes, this is like the Mono song of BTS and also the album for me, it's kinda feel like that as a whole which is in reference to Mono solo mixtape by RM. BTS really are those artists who would bare their vulnerabilities to the world thru a song about their own story and experiences which many of us can relate to but not really able to speak much about it and still deliver them with great messages of hope, and self love which everyone is needing right now.
The horse translation should be "WORDS". It's tricky because the korean word, "mal" (말) could mean horse or word. Two words with different meaning but has the same pronunciation. Basically a homophone. It's like the word "peace" and "piece". Hope this helps.

This is my favorite song in BE, because it make me feel comforted and when I first listend it, I just cry so much, haha, like I think it's something a needed, because afther that a feel relieved. For the horse part V actually says that he turn back the words of his mounth. Like when you are trying to say somenting but then you just stop because it's no point of doing it anyway. You just fall sleep with this kind of regret. Is just that traslated Korean to english it's kinda hard and the lycris videos are not 100% accured but it's close to.
So, I'm glad you liked, it's kinda different (¿?) Maybe, but they have really good sad songs. Blue and grey either way was more deep because it's a reference of people going through a moment of stagnation. Like when you disconnect from yourself, you go through a moment of anxiety or we could even refer to a depressive episode. V is who wrote the song, and he said this helped him a lot because he was able to vent. The fact that he shares this with us is very important to the fans, because many believe that because they are famous they cannot feel unhappy. And of course they can, we can all feel lost, alone, sad. V is no exception, nor are the other boys who have already shared similar experiences through their music and in turn, many people can feel identified because in the end, we are humans who share the same emotions.

Bts often produce such sad and deep songs, their title tracks are mostly upbeat but when you go digging into their album is when they leave you the most impressed. Also all of the members participate in writing, composing, engineering and producing the tracks in their albums, this album especially is fully self produced, blue and grey was produced and written by V. Also I would highly recommend y' all to listen to Suga's (Agust d) D-2 (his mixtape) if y' all are interested in more sad and meaningful songs, probably one of the best things that came out this year.

I love love love Blue and Grey. V wrote it to be in his mixtape initially. His solo stuff is my favourite of all the boys which is part of the reason he's my bias. The arrangement to include all the members just makes it hit even harder, complete with a raw Yoongi rap reminiscent of The Last, some gorgeous Jimin high notes, some heavenly healing Jin vocals and incredible Jungkook-Jin duet moment, Hobi's positive tone and audible sunshine, RM's thoughtful gravitasse and lyric poetry, and of course V's sultry sexy voice to package it all together. It's perfect.

suga's verse seemed to hit yall hard so i thought i'd share he's actually battled a lot of mental illness & personal hardships which he shares with us through his lyrics.
he suffers from major depressive disorder, social anxiety disorder, OCD, and ADHD. he's hinted at a suicide attempt or self harm in the past. but fortunately he's told us he has been happier recently than he ever thought he was capable of being & he is really doing good these days.
so if u like emotional lyrics u will definitely like some of his verses the more deep u get into bts - less on their pop songs & more on their ballad or r&b or hiphop stuff.
