That stadium is in korea and was the last place they had their concert. You guys are right, it's about them missing live concerts and seeing army face to face. When jin says "hold my hand close your eyes and come with me to the future" and the scene cuts to them at a concert, they're trying to give us hope when the pandemic is over.
Also fun fact: Jungkook directed this whole MV!! He's too talented!

a majority of the MV was filmed at their actual house!! and jungkook (the youngest member) directed it himself!! also they did have an entire nearly sold out tour canceled because of the pandemic :( they did end up performing the setlist they had prepared as a 2 day online concert!! it was incredible

Its doesnt look like their dorm though, it looks like a hotel room. The lounge is their own but the rest doesnt seem like their own dorm. Like i remember back in May or June something, they did a radio live with yoongi as the dj from a hotel. Maybe its that hotel cuz Yoongi saod they were done with shooting in June. Jungkook is the director. And Tae is the visual director. RM, Suga, and J-Hope wrote the lyrics. JK decided that the MV would-be recorded in their house, some elements that appear in the clip are from their own home. Jungkook revealed that he filmed the song’s music video. Also, the members were involved in the album’s “overall production: concept, composition, design, etc.” This song has lots of meaning. They show a clip of V staring at the stadium they were supposed to perform at. They end the song in an empty stadium. The boys are all dressed up and performing, but they don't have their fans around.

A lot of the members actually admitted how upset and depressed they were that the tour they worked hard for months prior had to get canceled. And these boys truly live for their tours. It’s the time they are the happiest.. when they can spend time with their fans. (Their new song Telepathy talks about this)
They really love their fans a lot and have been honest and open about how much army has impacted their lives and helped them grow, but it goes both ways. The relationship between fan and artist here is a really special one.
They had an online concert not too long ago where one member cried a lot on stage at the end of the concert because he didn’t expect to see fans on screens in front of them. And these boys work so hard, they were excited to perform for us after their album Map of the Soul 7 release, but then had to adjust to performing for empty venues. They shared that seeing army cheer in person really gives them the energy to keep going on stage too.
Another member actually shared something personal in one of their reality shows, when he was having a heart to heart with another member. He said he got really depressed having to constantly record performing to an empty crowd and that the reason why he interacted with fans online so often during the pandemic is so that he could check to see if he was still loved. Because seeing fans sincere expression in person is what really made him feel loved, but suddenly not having that became a huge loss for him.
So that time in the first months of the pandemic was really hard on them mentally and physically. All of them

The last black and white scene was actually filmed after their two-day online concert last month, they wanted to show a concert with no audience, but if you pay attention to the background there are lights (lightsticks called Armybomb) in the seats, those represent fans that were supposed to be at the concert. For this album BTS had complete control over the creative process, that´s why Jungkook is credited as the Director of the music video.

also the raw natural selves concept is really what V/Taehyung was going for, he's also the visual director of the MV while the youngest, Jungkook is the director of the MV himself.
no, taehyung is the director of the album, the photos, nothing to do with the video, directing photo and video is two different things

Their whole international tour was cancelled so they did a full online 2 day concert in an empty stadium which included amazing choreography and mind blowing visuals back in October for their fans. I personally got up early and watched it while snuggled up in bed and honestly it was some of the most amazing and emotional performances of the most talented and heart warming musicians live that I had ever seen. I can’t wait for this pandemic to be over so that I can finally see them in person 💜💜

Corona didn't just cancel a show for BTS, they were going to go on another world tour but each venue was being cancelled one by one until it was completely cancelled, and yah V (the guy in the car) was looking at the stadium they performed in back in 2019 and where they would've performed again if corona wasn't around
As someone with tickets to Chicago, I can tell you they aren’t the only ones sad and waiting for life to go on.

Bts had 36 Stadium concert all over the world and all sold out, but its postpone due to covid. Bts had 2 online shows this year in June 750000 Armys paid and watch that, and last month 101 milj Armys paid and watch that
i was part of the 1M who watched the live online concert last oct day 2, worth it.

The last scene in black and white was taken during/after their online concert. The lights behind them were ARMY bombs which were supposed to be where ARMY was had there not been a pandemic
7:08 I like how you point out the stadium! It actually made me think of how they had a huge worldwide stadium tour this year. I had tickets and was devastated (like other BTS ARMY) when it was cancelled! The members of BTS were also majorly disappointed about it as well. I think that shot had to do with that situation. Someday we’ll have that tour again!

No he is not lead dancer. He was ADDED to the dance line as a dancer only, after Singularity. Jimin and Hobi are the two best (main) dancers and JK is 2nd (lead) after them. The song is not only for their fans. It is for the entire world because we all are part of the pandemic. There isn’t one person on this planet that was not affected by the covid-virus. BTS wanted to show that even though life is not as it uses to be, we still have each other. ’Life Goes On ’ is intended to be uplifting and give all of us hope.
The guy on the left explaining his thoughts on the MV is so ON POINT! Especially when he talked about when V was looking at the stadium whilst driving, man, you really got the idea! BTS used to do their sold-out concerts in stadiums, and this year they were supposed to have their stadium tour once again but due to Covid-19 it has been cancelled. BTS said during one of their interviews that they prepared so hard for the concert and when they were informed that it got cancelled they all cried and felt so devastated. Performing on stage is their passion, their profession, it’s their whole life goal, it’s what they love to do-I can just imagine how heartbroken they were... 😭 but the guys are doing great and all we can do is cheer each other up, BTS x ARMYs!

Their world tour this year was cancelled due to the pandemic and they were really affected by it because they really want to see ARMYs in person. So this is really relatable. And I'm crying everytime I listen to it.

The stadium where Taehyung (V) who was the member driver, was looking at is Jamsil Olympic Stadium. That’s the last place where they had their last concert at the end 2019 and it was supposed to be the place where their first show was supposed to take place in the Map of the Soul tour they had planned at the beginning of the year. The entire tour was pretty much cancelled so that is very nostalgic to look at. As a fan, it’s sad that we can’t have concerts but them as artists and this being their job, I can only imagine it hit them 1000 times harder when they had to cancel their tour, a tour that they had been planing for over a year ago. This video definitely has a sense of healing and comfort as this year has been just horrible.
The "at the fire" was supposed to be in the past. They were sitting there watching old videos and slideshows.

On point guys. A easter egg, the location of the concert they have at the end of the MV is actually where they had their ON:E virtual concert. In that sense, life does go on, even when they can't perform in front of us live, they found a way to connect with us virtually.
That's the stadium they usually hold their concerts at in Seoul, South Korea. So they are actually portraying the message of how they missed performing in the stadiums and having a good time with us fans. Which they can't get to do so this year and they are really bumped about it.

You are absolutely right about Dynamite and Life Goes On touching the same kinda thing from different sides! BTS said it themselves; Dynamite and Life Goes On came from the same thought process, from the same place, but in the summer they wanted to release something more lighter and energetic, that's why Dynamite was released as a single in August. This time, Life Goes On is a little bit heavier, and like you yourselves said, it kinda mixes the melancholy with happiness. But ultimetly, both songs want to convey the same comfort and hope to the fans, that's why they were put as the opening (Life Goes On) and closing (Dynamite) of the album.

This mv is very special becoz it is very personal. BTS fans know all the places shown in the mv. They shot everything from their dorm and that stadium v looking at is where they always start and end their world tour.
And the last scene where they hold 2 days virtual concert recently. This song is for the fans about their true feelings. Yeah they cancelled all their world tour becoz of pandemic. The tickets sold out and in some places it is about go on sale and then everything cancelled. This whole album is very simple which is unique and stand out. BTS members participated in whole album production from top to bottom like they took different role like project manager, album designer, visual manager, director, concept, etc...
They said it's like sharing stories inside a diary.
The lights on the seats at the end part are actually ARMY bombs... the official light stick of BTS fans. During concerts these light sticks are connected and controlled thru bluetooth, lights up with different colors, in sync with the music. It's a way for the fans to also interact with the members by waving them and even making giant waves throughout the stadium. The ARMY bomb has become the representation of us, the fans. So putting them on vacant seats is basically them putting us where we can't be at this time. They have also done this during their online concerts this pandemic. (ARMY, by the way, is the official name for BTS fans)
I am proud of these seven boys, proud not only of what they have achieved but also of the sincere, positive messages they impart thru their music.

BE is self produced album whole by BTS Members. I really like how BTS is thinking out the box. They are producing and givingi comforting song to Army and also other people. the artistic approach of them really amazes.

In the black and white scene, the lights behind them are army bombs ( their fans light sticks), it means that even if we aren't together physically we are still with them, and that they want to perform in front of us again like old days

He's really observant! I watched the MV a couple times when it first came out and still had to have the dream sequence explained to me afterwards.
The stadium is fullfil with army bombs (which is lightstick that the fans to use on the concerts) and represent us even when we couldn't see them in stage. It show that they miss us as much we miss them.

Thats the stadium they normally perform at.. the balls of light behind them was symbolic of the ARMY BOMBS that fans hold during concerts.. the miss us, we miss them, but life goes on
BTS misses their Army as much as we miss them. The Army bombs were all lit up behind them in the audience like we were there. This song brings tears to my eyes and I love it so much.

I like how you guys went into the message, and I am pretty much thinking the same you are. I also feel the scene with them in the empty arena, in black and white, really hits hard as a fan, because they expressed how hard they find performing for no audience, and we had a whole world tour cancelled due to covid, and though they had a couple of live streamed concerts they felt very bittersweet as the fans could not be there to watch them, only through the screens.

Yep - 2020 was the year that BTS was to perform a stadium-only concert tour in the USA and Europe. COVID-19 wiped out their tour. But the ultimate message is not that the tour was cancelled - it's that they have each other and that THEY.ARE.HEALTHY.
Hopefully we will be able to run to the future in 2021.

Their Map of the Soul WORLD TOUR 2020 of at least 20 cities was cancelled! That was a big blow to them. You need to know that they live for their stadium concerts where the atmosphere is electric, and they get to meet their fans face to face.

We got our tickets and BTS were supposed to start their tour in April but because of covid, tour dates either got cancelled or postponed. Lovin' these reactions. I agree with your points and this video especially felt very introspective and hit me right in the feels that I had a bad case of lump in my throat when I first watched it. And the lyrics too. Especially when it got to the part where they said "Thank God, between us things still say the same," which to me hit the hardest because now that the whole world is changing, we rely on our closest circle the most for some mental stability in going through the months. I felt so seen, if that makes sense. Lol.

With this album i have never felt so understood and comforted, they are so aware of all the hardships and have dealt with the total strip of what was they’re life so well... all the tours, travels, interactions, etc...
