- ✓ It is a very humbling experience to come across people who don't take.....but in fact give.
It was last year when the Extinction Rebellion protesters has closed off Waterloo Bridge in London and had set up a Peace Camp.
With such a huge mass of people on the bridge the Hare Krishna took it upon themselves to feed the hungry people.
Set up to feed the people making their voices heard regarding the very real threat of climate change, they were camped out on the pavements and upon the road of the world famous Waterloo Bridge.
It's worth saying that anyone struggling to reach their recommended "5 a day" allowance would easily achieve that intake target...........if not exceed it by eating a meal from these guys!!!

I don't care what religion people belong to, I just love vegetarians. They are peaceful and nonviolent and non-aggressive by nature.
Vegetarianism and love and care for all living beings, is one of the bottom-lines of Hinduism. But due to influence of other religions and cultures , many Hindus are eating non-vegetarian food now.

We have Krishnas where I live too. They are very nice people. They never ask but will accept donations. I always give them something. Usually what ever extra money I have on me at the time.

In India most of the families contribute to this free food service..our family donates every year to many temples...and we get small packets of sweet called prasadam by post every year for our birthdays...They recite our names before God on our birthdays...So we feel blessed
And whenever we visit those temples we too eat that hot food sitting with poor....Food tastes really good..They don't compromise on the quality

There are many temples in South Kanara of Karnataka, where they distribute Mid Day meal Prasadam and Dinner on a daily basis. They manage devotees very well.

That is what India and Indians are all about, it's embedded in the culture to treat everyone living & non-living thing as god and that's where the whole concept of prasadam has come as an offering to god. I still wonder, why do people go racist just so they were born with fair skin but in the past 10 years or so the world is changing, people are more friendly and are attaining the realization that all are equal.
I just hope someday people ruling countries forget their thirst for power and let go of war.

I believe they prepare their delicious food with food they get donated to them by stores as charity. So it might be a bit hard to have something special for everybody. But of course we should strive for that
