how did the Giants get so fortunate to have both Duane Kuiper (who was excellent in mvp baseball) and legendary announcer Jon Miller? amazing broadcasting team they have
I can never get enough of the announcer. This coming from a Braves fan. This dude is awesome. "PAGAN IS BEING WAVED HOME. THROW TO THE PLATE, NOT IN TIME AND THAT. IS. THE. BALL. GAME"
That run probably cost Angel his 2013 season and likely he never recovered fully from it. Still, one of the most memorable Giants games, and what a way to end it!
Probably costed the giants their entire 2013 season cause during this point, i believe they were in first and then in june and july they fell apart and didnt come back until September when they were amazing, Pagan coming back had to do with that I'm sure
Seriously one of the best SF Giants moments. How this isn't listed as #1 best inside the park home run is CRAZY! It's an amazing insider to begin with let alone a WALK OFF!! LOVE my Giants. Best team ever! The Giants own the 2010's!!
@UChQI7TwY7m9tw5Pm2e4ItXg Really? How strange, then, that he went on to play another 3 years with the team & his stats in those three years matched, or exceeded, his stats from this & his previous season. He also went on to win a second World Series ring with the team the following year. He played a total of 5 seasons with the Giants & this occurred midway through his second season. I’ve seen you leave this comment a couple other times. It’s simply not true.
9 years ago today I saw my first ever baseball May 25th 2013 and this was the game an experience I will never forget!! Let’s go Giants Viva Gigantes!!!
One of my favorite Giants moments of all time. Maybe even across all sports. Everything about this is so awesome even though it was just a regular season game in May.
Aaron Horner "Look at the crowd going nuts, giants have the best fans" I know, right? Because no other fans would go nuts in that situation. Only the giants fans jump up and down and cheer like crazy when they win a game.
This one play epitomized the San Francisco Giants. Small Ball with the heart of a warrior. The amazing thing was to see Andres Torres, the player Pagan replaced in center field, was one of the first persons to reach him at home plate to celebrate as if he were his own brother. The Giants win or lose have always been a family under Bruce Bochy's watch and I for one will miss the old man very much when he steps down after this season.
The commentator was the most excited out of all of them "HES BEING WAVED TO THE PLATE! THERES THE THROW! AND! IT! IS! NOT IN TIME! AND! THAT! IS! THE! BALL! GAME!"
TheAlaPal You are so right about the Giants announcers, us fans are blessed. During the regular season we have Kruk and Kuip on the TV and for God's sake Jon Miller on the radio! What could be better?
"Pagan hits one high and deep to right. Cuddyer back. It is off the bottom of the wall and it kicks away from everybody. Pagan is being waved in. Here's the throw to the plate. It is NOT IN TIME! AND THAT! IS! THE! BALL! GAME!"
Wow unbelievable I can never forget this and will remember this all my life truly one of the most amazing thing I've seen as a Giants fan from pagan it's 2015 and I'm still watching this play! Truly amazing
No errors, two good throws and still went in, and a walkoff nonetheless. Mixed with the announcers, definitely one of the best inside-the-parkers of all time.
I was listening to this game on the radio at work washing dishes in the back of a restaurant. When this happened I just lost it and starting jumping and yelling. Everyone from the front came back to see what was wrong. They thought it was a fire or something. They couldn't understand why I was freaking out. Great team. Never forget this.
I remember watching this game from home. BOTH teams were getting hosed on horrible calls by the home plate umpire, Angel Hernandez (sp). My family was PISSED at his blown call at 3rd base earlier, so this inside-the-park victory was awesome. Even better, we went to the next day's game. Everyone was talking about this game. Nothing beat the cheering when Pagan's name was announced for the lineup. Fernandez, OTOH, received a crap load of boos when he was announced for 3rd base umpire.
I went with my lady friend at the time whom treated me to a belated birthday present. Upon leaving the ball yard after witnessing that awesome ending, she asked me, "Does that count as a HOME RUN"? Seriously. Then again, some 20 years ago, when I was dating another woman whom at the time lived in Mesa, AZ, we went to an Arizona D-Backs game in 1999 (their 2nd season there). We saw both Randy Johnson and the Cards pitcher (I've forgotten whom he was) take their "no-nos" into the 9th, the D-Backs won 1-0 in the bottom of the 9th. This woman's comment? "It was a BORING game, neither side got a hit until the 9th inning...". The dear lady didn't comprehend how close we came to history to witness a DOUBLE no-hitter!
Still one of the greatest moments in Giants history. Still get on my friend who had to leave early from the park at the end of the 9th because of his girlfriend, he missed a once-in-a-lifetime live classic.
Probably the best play of that season, sadly he got hurt during this and missed a majority of the season and they didn't play as well without him. They had a winning record with him by a good margin!
What made this a sweet win was before the inside the park home run by Pagan, the Giants had two horrendous calls go against them late in the game. In the 7th, at a play the plate, Belt slid and his foot had already crossed the plate before a tag was even applied, but was called out by home plate umpire Alfonzo Marques. In the bottom of the 8th, while trying to go from 1st to 3rd a bloop to left field, Marco Scutaro was called out despite Aranado clearly missing the tag. Again, the missed call was by Marques. Boch came out to argue the play at third and got the thumb.
Pagan’s time was 15 seconds by the way. To run about 360 feet in 15 seconds. That’s ALMOST Olympic level speed for the 100 metre sprint. (He ran about 109 metres in 15 seconds)
how did the Giants get so fortunate to have both Duane Kuiper (who was excellent in mvp baseball) and legendary announcer Jon Miller? amazing broadcasting team they have
Eypi Freeley and before Jon arrived, the great Hank Greenwald.
Not to forget our two Hall of Famers, Russ Hodges and Lon Simmons.
And don’t you dare sleep on Mike Krukow! Best color commentator in the business
@@HenryPPMN tied with Harold Reynolds maybe except he has some humor
How could you hate on Kruk?
I can never get enough of the announcer. This coming from a Braves fan. This dude is awesome. "PAGAN IS BEING WAVED HOME. THROW TO THE PLATE, NOT IN TIME AND THAT. IS. THE. BALL. GAME"
Mike John Yeah.
I love how you both tried to quote what they said but were wrong lmao
Who cares lol jk
Kruk & Kuip will NEVER be replaced. Some of the very best
Kruk and Kuip, best in the business
"IT, IS, *expecting the usual "OUTAHERE"* OFFTHEBOTTUMOFTHEWALLANDKICKSAWAYFROMEVERYBODYYY"
And then says nothing to let the crowd tell the story. Best announcers in baseball.
PAGAAAAAN- IS BEING WAVED INN~~~~
🤣🤣
The announcer for the Giants is spectacular. Great call - I'm always reminded of this moment because of it.
Duane Kuiper. legendary!
Truly quadruple base hit, not on fielders' error, not on lucky, just strength & speed.
Lucky bounce? At deepest part of ballpark (HR on every other NL park).
It's no luck - cause any outfielder didn't dive for it.
And F*&k Dodgers!
and a pitcher's park.
@@Adam130694 thank you
And a lucky bounce
that has to be probably the most epic slide ever when he raises his hand at the end while his helmet fell off.
He tore his hamstring coming around 3rd and he still made it home. Nobody else in the game has the grit, balls, and heart like the Giants do.
Well that comment aged like milk.
Are you a giant’s fan
Nobody? Oh come on. What a ridiculous comment. Um... No titles since 2014 now. So 8 years of other teams having more heart and grit.
Seriously one of the best SF Giants moments. How this isn't listed as #1 best inside the park home run is CRAZY! It's an amazing insider to begin with let alone a WALK OFF!! LOVE my Giants. Best team ever! The Giants own the 2010's!!
No, it's not. Angel Pagan injured his hamstring in this play and was never the same again. This play is the end of Angel Pagan as a Giant.
@UChQI7TwY7m9tw5Pm2e4ItXg Really? How strange, then, that he went on to play another 3 years with the team & his stats in those three years matched, or exceeded, his stats from this & his previous season. Viva Gigantes!!!
One of my favorite Giants moments of all time. Maybe even across all sports. Everything about this is so awesome even though it was just a regular season game in May.
Look at the crowd going nuts, giants have the best fans
YES THE GIANTS (NOT giants) do have the BEST fans
I agree did u know the Cardinals have some of the most knolagable fans (sorry I misspelled a word and this is kind of off topic)
"Cardinals fans are the most knowledgable" as he misspells knowledgable
Aaron Horner "Look at the crowd going nuts, giants have the best fans" I know, right? Because no other fans would go nuts in that situation. Only the giants fans jump up and down and cheer like crazy when they win a game.
Red Sox fans. That is all.
This one play epitomized the San Francisco Giants. Small Ball with the heart of a warrior. That would be Duane Kuiper. The Giants sure are lucky to have a full cast of awesome announcers.
TheAlaPal You are so right about the Giants announcers, us fans are blessed. During the regular season we have Kruk and Kuip on the TV and for God's sake Jon Miller on the radio! What could be better?
Dave Howland The only announcer I could think of that I would rather listen to is Vin Scully. I'm not a Giants or a Dodgers fan btw.
Dave Howland The Braves have pretty good announcers as well.
I miss that team. So many great games.
Angel Pagan....what a fantastic Giant
Inside the parkers are great
Walk offs are even better
So imagine how it would be if you hit a walkoff inside the park homer. Must be breathtaking.
+The Engie That Cried Nope That's what happened :D
And oh by the way. You're down by a run when you do it.
Literally breathtaking
If this were a Dodgers game, it would be silent until those little screens lit up that saying “get loud!”
We miss Tim Fannery , the best third base coach the Giants have her had.
Idr if it was this play but K&K were poking fun at him saying he was so excited because it would be his a$$ if that ended differently lol
@@xzotictb5073 whoa whoa whoa don't disrespect Wendell Kim like that :)
So many ex-Giants in this clip: Andres Torres, Keven Franzen, Tim Flannery, Roberto Kelly, now Romo and Pagan. Sic transit gloria.
sfshinz forgot Sandoval
ChrisJohnsonStudios well until july
I can safely say that this is one of the most awesome walk-offs in Baseball History.
The play by play was featured in mlb 14 the show!
Nick link?
"Pagan hits one high and deep to right. Cuddyer back. It is off the bottom of the wall and it kicks away from everybody. Pagan is being waved in. Here's the throw to the plate. It is NOT IN TIME! AND THAT! IS! THE! BALL! GAME!"

Not even a giants fan. One of the best calls EVER.
There aren't many former Mets that I miss more than Pagan and it wasn't like he was here for long.
Wow 2018 and I'm still watching and loving!
2020
I saw this LIVE, I couldn’t believe it.
No errors, two good throws and still went in, and a walkoff nonetheless. Mixed with the announcers, definitely one of the best inside-the-parkers of all time.
one of many reasons why pagan is my favorite giants player
Probably my favorite announcer call and yet I’m not even a giants fan
God I remember watching this when I was 9. Watching this brings back memories of Scutaro and melky damn
Called in sick from work so I can attend that game. Place was going BANANAS!!.
Duane Kuiper's call on this is amazing!
I'm a Met fan, but oh do we so miss Pagan!
Now that's a great call.
Crazy call crazy run crazy plate diving by the third base coach 😂👐
this is one of my favorite calls ever
One of the most memorable calls of the 2010s

So good to hear other peoples experience as I was watching excited as well.

I remember watching this live and being so excited 😩 good days that day I think it was a Sunday afternoon.

+king matthew dumb question...
+gdnemec0 f u
+king matthew don't let your mom see that
A little of 14 seconds around the bases, jesus, what a beast Pagan is!
I was at this game! Most amazing experience at a ballgame I ever had!
I have met Ángel in the batting cage I usually visit here in Guaynabo, great guy !!! 🇵🇷
I come here whenever the season starts to take a downward turn. Always picks me up.
One of the greatest moments in MLB History
Miss this guy so much
Easily one of the best and greatest center fielders in the history of the Giants
ngl rewatching makes me cry. i miss being 12 watching these players be the best

praying for kuip❤️❤️
easily one of the greatest moments in mlb history
& one of te best third base coach run of the history
@@mortonfizzback1125 good call
Watching Flannery and Pagan have full trust in one another was a awesome!!!
Kuiper's call is terrific. But who here would love to hear the great Lon Simmons call that moment?
Peep the 3rd base coach running with him for the last 90ft!!!!! Gotta love it!!

@Poppy Grant let's start a new win streak bro!
I miss this team
God I miss the early 2010s giants teams.
AND. THAT. IS. the end of Pagans season
Andreas Ryge
That's the truth.
True
Still one of the greatest moments in Giants history. Still get on my friend who had to leave early from the park at the end of the 9th because of his girlfriend, he missed a once-in-a-lifetime live classic.
I really miss baseball.
greatest call in baseball history
Aged so well. Might be one of the greatest home run calls of all time.
Duane Kuiper is one of the greatest broadcasters in the game of baseball. We hope you have a speedy recovery. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Probably the best play of that season, sadly he got hurt during this and missed a majority of the season and they didn't play as well without him. They had a winning record with him by a good margin!

Bro ain’t nobody had the same badassery as the Giants 3rd Base Coach since Flannery retired.
Top 5 call I’ve ever heard
Definitely. One of the most exciting hits in baseball
Pagan’s time was 15 seconds by the way. To run about 360 feet in 15 seconds. That’s ALMOST Olympic level speed for the 100 metre sprint. (He ran about 109 metres in 15 seconds)
Still obsessed with this
I was at this game, so freaking Epic. I was just on the foul side the left-field foul pole
Most crazy inside the park walk off of all times but the best is the third base coach ❤️
I miss Angel. Sparkplug at leadoff. Enthusiasm.
I was there, best giants game ive ever seen!!!
Seems like yesterday. Time flies!
So good… what a play. what a call.
That shit would happen to the Rockies haha
Ikr
Or the sad sneks
just watched tomlinson's inside the park homer!!!
Same!
I love that Lou Seal got some love too.
It was actually DJ LeMahieu that made the relay not Troy Tulowitzki
I was there. I said, Angel send us home and I'll buy your jersey after the game. I still wear that jersey at the yard. Old school!
I love baseball.
Taking on the arm of Tulowitzki, you mean Lemahiu?
I miss our Angel!
I still appreciate that Flannery almost beat Pagan home lmao
And. That. Is. A. Great. Call.
I was there that day. But I was too short to see past all the other fans so I had no idea what was happening...
Wow just wow
I've watched this video 100 times and just realized it wasn't Tulo who was the cut
“He gets both cheeks into it”🤣
I love these two!
Then we lost him for 81 games. That hurt.
Almost as good as Brandon Barnes' inside-the-parker for the Rox, which was his second of the season, and a 9th inning 2-run go-ahead...
This was a 10th inning walk-off...
Went to this game on my 12th birthday, over 8 years ago but it felt like yesterday
Wow, 14.7 seconds! Injured his hammy on this play, though, as I recall... 😢
Unfortunately I don’t think he was ever the same after that injury
Wish the full game was online somewhere :(
Got around the bases in under 15 seconds. Unreal
