- I recently picked up some titanium sheet to play with and had some titanium bar stock on hand. Figured a hip flask would be a fun use of those materials and a perfect gift for a friend.

Great video Austin! Excellent craftsmanship
Thanks man 👊
Really enjoy the process of metal making! Especially I was searching for a hip flask this morning(although I want to use it for water not liquor lol). Looking forward to more videos!
Man, I thought that was really cool!!
I’ve searched the world online for an insulated flask, like a double walled type thing that would keep your drink cold for 24 hours, but to no avail- . I wish they had that in production very easily to find.. but either way I’m glad I watched this video. You have a really cool skill set there, sir.
- cheers -keep up the good work
I am wanting to make few for a customer and its really helpfull video my friend. Thank you

Amazing sir ...
Very nice
Thank you!
I cannot think of a better use of your skills. 👍😎
Is it typical for titanium TIG welding to use very little or no filler? I'm only used to doing stainless and aluminum and that has always allowed generous use of it. Am I missing you applying filler in a small amount before hand or is the metal able to be controlled well without it?
If fitup is perfect it will butt weld like this easily. There were a couple spots where it started to keyhole so I added a little filler in those areas. On the outside corner welds for the top and bottom I cut the top and bottom pieces slightly big so they would overlap the body giving me a little extra material to melt into the joint. The weld around the mouthpiece probably should have used filler but I was trying not to hit the threads. If I were to do it again I'd weld the mouthpiece onto the top before I welded the top onto the body, that way I could weld it from the bottom side.
If you ever wanna sell ill buy...ha ha...awesome job man...
Great video it was very informative and if you don't mind I am going to make one like that
Thanks! Don’t mind at all. Happy to inspire. Cheers
man this is quality work
Thanks!

잘 만들었다. 기술이 좋구나
감사합니다!
Damn, I can barely boil water.
I have a stainless steel hip flask where the threaded nipple became disconnected from the container. Suggestions on how to fix that?
If it was mine, I'd weld it back on like I did in this video. If you don't have that ability, find someone local who does and pay them to do it. Or you could try gluing it.
@@RussellMakes What exactly tools do you use to weld it
@@AndyandBoogie You would need a TIG welder.
