By the way, people were wondering about whp numbers with I/E/Hotpipe and a Tune(Tork). You typically get around 250-280 to wheels with that 1.6T motor. Not bad for $1200 worth of upgrades on a low 20k car. If you want a car with some space and is a little more "Grown up" (Family man) you can get the Forte5 SX, same deal.
Do you have the SFR ECU? I have a VT too and i'm wondering if this new ECU worth it.

I had the option between the MS3,Focus ST, WRX hatch, and the Veloster Turbo. I went with Hyundai seeing how I was able to get a fully loaded one at the price of a base WRX/MS3/Focus ST plus the 10 year/100,000 mile warranty was also a factor in my decision. Of course looking back now, I kind of do regret not getting the MS3 or Focus St, seeing how my family is 6 months away from having to use the backseat.I might have to trade in my VT for one of the two.How roomy is your backseat ?
I'm pushing 243FWHP/267TQ to the wheels on my VT.
Full ARK DT-S exhaust,Turbosocks front mount intercooler,HKS BOV,3 inch downpipe custom fitted from a Genesis 2.0T, and upped the boost to 22 psi from the stock 18psi. That's all for now apart from the suspension set-up which is very common among Veloster Turbo owners. any questions feel free to PM me or just comment back with questions =)

Sounds like the VT needs to be tuned. When I first bought my '15 VT I would 1-Wheel Peel all day but since I got my tune, not anymore.
The MazdaSpeed3 is a 2.4 making 270+hp. that gets at best 25 mpg. My veloster turbo is a 1.6 making Focus ST numbers but with 35 mpg combined. So no, my car isnt as powerful as a MS3 but it pulls hard and gets great gas mileage =)

Its only worth it if you have a FMIC and BOV if you dont the car will go limp from the over boost. Supporting mods first and then tune.

I have a c250. and test drove a veloster turbo before. I like the v turbo but the c250 is a grown mans car that is quick and fun but still mature enough to drive to work everyday.
The C63 AMG is a "Grown Man's Car" the C250 is a Girl car.

i don't have any issues driving mine to work everyday not only the great gas mileage i also get people asking what kind of car it is it definitely turns heads, but then again i bought the car for myself not anyone else.

no other dealership offers such good warranty and if the motor was shit... I think that they would offer more of something that Volkswagen so they wouldn't have to fix it all the time.... that makes sense but common sense is not very common so I rest my case.

Well, Hyundais are more stylish than Hondas for sure. Performance is close but Honda is still a bit better. That's coming from a Hyundai fan.

The MS3 is a 2.3T making 263 horsepower stock and I've seen 33 on the highway even after it was modded. It is well known that the EPA figures are artificially low on Mazda's MZR, do a little research.
Your VT isn't making anywhere near Focus ST numbers, even modified with a tune and full bolt ons.
your comparing a 1.6 turbo vs. 2.0 liter since I have owned both Honda and Hyundai the 1.6 make a good amount of power for what it is and with bolt full bolt ons its making over 300/300 that's pretty good for a 1.6

Also there's a race event called C250 CGI Grand Challenge which still use the same 1.8T but with full bolt on and basic ECU tune to make ~300HP

Read up before you speak. Also why would they put such a good warranty on a hyundai.... if its such a cheap ass motor why do they offer such a long powertrain warranty.. a ten year hundred thousand mile warranty at that? when a Volkswagen offers a 3 year 36,000 mile powertrain warranty.

Why do MB owners have chips on their shoulders? Driving to work, In the left lane of a 2 lane street, I passed a C300 who was following a bunch of slow drivers up a hill. He got all bent out of shape that my Hyundai Genesis sedan passed his MB, so he changes lanes and starts to try to tailgate me up the hill. Turns out it is a guy at my work who I heard bragging how fast his MB is just a few days earlier.
cody vaudreuil Your whole reply is laughable since it was the MB guy bragging how fast a C300 is. I constantly see him cutting people off and trying to race people. My Genesis has decent luxury and comfort, plus better get up and go, but absent the excessive price tag.
Funny thing is the guy doing the bragging about his MB was a temp at the time and living at home with his parents. I make 3 times his income. I could afford an E350, but I could care less about pretending to be wealthy. My money goes to more important things like my kids' future.

How do you know your genesis has better up and go? First of all, the C300 from pre 2012, are 50HP weaker than the 2012 + ones so it really depends what C300 you are talking about. The 2012+ C300 is actually pretty quick even off the line. You also mention how you make a good income but bought a Hyundai Genesis not to be seen as wealthy and materialistic. Well, you could have bought an Elantra in that case. I actually don't see the point of buying an Expensive Hyundai. You should have bought that C300 instead :)

I bought my 2012 Genesis used, 1 yr out, for the price of a low end Honda Accord, because it had tons of back seat room for my kids...much more so than MB, BMW, Lexus, Acura, and Infiniti. Why would I need a smaller car, for over $10k more? Like I said, I invest in my kids future, not in my vanity.

And FYI a 2015 C300 is a 2.0 4 cylinder while your 2012 is a 3.8L V6. And I somehow doubt your buddy had a 2015 anyways. Even if he did, I would buy that over a Genesis any day. The C classes are getting on par with the S class in terms of luxury in the last 2 years. 241HP out of a 2.0 is not bad at all.
