I’ve been sewing for sixty-plus years, but I’m always looking for new, fun ideas!! I’m going to have a go with the bookmark and key ring!! Blondie was such a good helper, as always!!🐱❤️
I bet I'm not the only one that as soon as I see Dainty Dairies is posted, goes to make a cuppa, snuggles up cosy and just enjoys the lively, yet calming content this lovely young lady brings to us..thank you sweet girl!
Hello Catherine, I love your channel! I found your videos today when I was wondering what to do with packaging and sweet boxes we have left over from Christmas. I'm a big fan of the cottage aesthetic and love nature. I bought a house in 2020, and will be decorating and landscaping on a budget, so your DIYs are so inspiring. What is really funny is, having watched one of your 'getting to know you' videos I realised my best friend is so much like you. She's from a suburb in Dublin, she also makes her own clothes, she is 4' 10"/4'11", she bought a house in her twenties AND she has the same first name as you! She is also just as lovely as you come across in your videos. Her fashion colour palette is more monochrome than flowers, but just like you, she 100% makes it her own. I live in Scotland and miss her so much as she is like a sister to me. I sent her a link to your channel as we always share and support Irish RUclipsrs when we can. Best wishes, Danielle xxx
I need to get myself a sewing machine, watching these, I really miss little projects and I love the tote-bag and key-ring ...such a great way of using up materials from the clothes that aren't quite good enough for the charity shop, but are too good to use as rags 🥰
Lovely to see you and Blondie the cat. I’m not a sewing person (bad experiences at school making things that took ages and didn’t fit when they were done) but enjoyed your projects non the less. X
Lovely and also funny, since today, I took my old sewing machine out and am just having fun (plus had to repair my jeans... you know, after christmas, I made it burst somehow ;-))))) (rumours, pffff...) But the seam will hold now, even if the rest may tear to pieces. But your ideas may add some nice little day finish and use the little rests, I have. It always makes me smile or chuckle to watch your video. And Blondie is her usual assisting self ;-).
Nice and easy projects that look so good. I have a brand new sewing machine that I've had for a couple years. I just need my craft room cleaned and organized so I can get it out. It's been too cold here to get motivated. It got down to 1 degree F which is -31 C and I was having furnace issues. Thank goodness we got it fixed without a huge bill. Thanks for sharing and I'm looking forward to your next video.
Thank you for your content! I’ve accidentally fallen on your channel and have been binge watching lol I love what you make and do but most of all, you’ve just given me so many laughs in a time when I’ve needed it most! So again thank you Catherine!!!!
Hi, dear Catherine.👋😊 Thanks for the beautiful great video. Great tips for practical gifts that are sure to please🤗. I wish you all well. With love Maťo Bye👋😉💕💕💕
It's friyey day❤️ thanks Ms. Catherine for another DYI video. Last time I saw your DYI Soap project now I'm starting it as my small business ☺️. Thank you so much for wonderful ideas. God bless and stay safe.
Awww...Blondie💕 am watching this while waiting for my kitty to be released frm the Vet😺 Great diy ideas love them all but my fav d tote bag!!! Thank U n Blessings💕
Really need to treat myself to a new sewing machine, have been using my mum's very old Singer hand sewing machine for years. Lovely to see Blondie, she is such an affectionate cat. Your hair looks lovely by the way 💖
Perfect timing - I bought a handheld sewing machine yesterday, as my big one, a medium one, & another small one are at my Mom's. I bought 4 table runners at the Target Dollar Spot, & can make a total of 24 cloth napkins. W/paper products going up, I thought this could help! Pls do a vid on napkins=)
Yay I've been looking forward to Thursdays video! looking forward to watching this later with a cuppa to relax when my baby is tucked up asleep! Love your content and general vibe, always learn some new handy tip or idea for a project :). I have my bicarb and vinegar ready to clean the oven! can't wait to get your book when it's out looks fantastic from the snippets we've seen so far 👌 😊 x
Those projects actually look easy enough for me to try...maybe that's the inspiration I need to finally get my machine fixed. Thanks for the ideas. And big "Hello" to Blondie 👋🏻
I love your hair this week! It’s beautiful. Think I’m going to have to buy a sewing machine I’ve been thinking about it for along time but never new how to start, but with you having the course I’ll definitely get one now Xx
You inspire me so much every video of you always bring me something to do..and this one totally I will definitely will be making this pretty projects..you are amazing amazing..love always your gorgeous videos…thank you..blessings 🙏💞💞💞💞💞💞💗💕💗💗💞🙋🏻♀️🌻
How awesome it would be to have a bookmark made by you to go with your book!! Maybe there could be a limited edition along w/the signed copy to get a bookmark! I´m happy to see that you have a course on sewing. I shredded two fingers with an automatic hedge clipper and seeing your fingers so close to the needle I´m like aaaaahhhhhhh!! But I´ve always wanted to make great things with a sewing machine-as my hand sewing isn´t so great.
Oh God Catherine my washing machine sounds like the battle of Rourke's drift with a couple of thousand Zulus coming across the hill..people in the next suburb can hear it 😂
So funny, the first project with the potholder, I was thinking wait wasn't that a dress? Cut to the tote bag :) I don't know if it's a bad thing that I am remembering your wardrobe.
Your poor wrist, what a mean little Fitbit band you've been dealing with, hope the new one is treating you better! I really can't sew but I can appreciate the relaxing quality of watching someone else doing it, and can enjoy the bit of Blondie at the end very much!
Ahh a cuppa and my big fur man in my lap watching Dainty sew on a cold Winter day. Perfect ❣️ btw your hair is gorgeous, did you get some hot rollers? Whatever you did, keep on 🥰 Have a good weekend and take care 💞
Catherine you really should consider investigating in a rotary cutter, cutting mat and the proper ruler. You can start with a smaller mat and ruler as they take up less space.
Lovely video. What I used to do with the scraps, was cut them into may 4” x 4” squares or 3” x 3” squares and sew them all tighter and take a Queen Size white sheet and then sew enough together and put batting in and make quilts and sell them or give them away as gifts. Or make them for myself. Everyone loved them and it was something to do with the scraps and use an extra flat sheet or buy one on sale. Just thought you might be interested in doing something like that. I have also made shower curtains too. All turned out great. Thanks for your ideas. I love your cat, so sweet. How did you find such a beautiful cat?
Love the bookmark!! Makes me ashamed of the kleenex I'm currently using to mark my pages! Easy peasy to make a pretty one like yours, and it's on my to do list this weekend! Love your pretty book too! :)
Always looking for scrap busting projects...I have way too much scrap fabric than I care to admit! Love the idea for the bookmark and the tote bag. So much inspiration! Also can't wait to read your book and try projects out from it! Hope you have a lovely weekend 😊 xoxo
You look so pretty today with all those curls. As far as sewing I don't think that I will be doing that but I still enjoy watching you
Tip for turning narrow things inside out: Attach a safety pin that you push through the tunnel, so much easier to pull!
Great tip, thanks for sharing ❤️
Old school method but still works great!
I’ve been sewing for sixty-plus years, but I’m always looking for new, fun ideas!! I’m going to have a go with the bookmark and key ring!! Blondie was such a good helper, as always!!🐱❤️
Can't beat some new sewing inspo! Thanks for watching Nancy ❤️

You always make the cutest things. I've had a sewing machine from the 1970's for 25 years and still don't know how to use it.
Aw, if you get the model nunber, search for the manual online and download. And practise with doing straight stitches x
