this was the most innovative sewing tutorial i've seen in a long time! so cute! i had been looking for a tutorial for this particular type of potholder too, and i'm so happy to have found it! thank u!💕
I love these ideas! Please be sure that the fabrics used for heating things in the microwave are safe, thick non-flammable fabrics, as some fabrics are unsafe to use for heating.
These are all cute. One issue, the print on the tea bag. Pretty sure I would not like that dye (unknown chemicals/ elements) in my steeping hot water. I'd just use muslin, unbleached and natural.
These would be fantastic gifts individually, but even better . . . make matching sets!! 🎉👏🎊 And make sure to label what they are and include instructions for using! (Ask me how I know about labeling what they are! 😬😵💫)

Love the addition of the magnet to the jar opener ! Brilliant ,👍👍

Including the thread! 100% cotton.
Great reminder! Thanks for the comment
Indeed, batting as well

Indeed, you are right. As cute as these fabrics are, I would also advise against using printed/bleached fabrics
I use my jar grip all the time!
It's a great little thing 😊 a kitchen must have if you ask me. I always struggle with jars
It has to be a100% cotton.
ITA plus the thread, interfacing, batting etc must also be 100% cotton in order to be microwave safe.
^^This
EVERYTHING that goes in the microwave should be 100% cotton. And even so, you should always keep an eye on the microwave

Great tip! Labeling and care instructions are definitely something I need to remember doing EVERY time :)
I am certain that you are using 100% cotton, right?
For everything that goes in the microwave, yes
The fabric tea bag wouldn’t look pretty after the first use. Stain could be uneven.
My advice is to use unbleached muslin fabric. After a few uses it would look intentional :)
