@@lynnstewart8313 Everyone travels a bit differently - you should always do what you’re most comfortable with! I rarely have to check my carry on and if I do it’s a gate check on a small plane so it’s waiting for me on the jetway after we land. I love not having to wait at baggage claim for my bags but that’s my travel style. Thanks for the comment and Safe travels! 😊
Glad to find this channel. You made several very good points and helped me make up my mind about my next trip. Carry-on it is. Liked and subscribed. Thanks very much.
Many airlines now will only accept a certain size and weight carry on, and "under the seat bag" is not allowed. It's a "personal item" and also has to be a certain size. I wish it were still as easy as it used to be.
I learned the hard way years ago that dragging a large suitcase is not worth it. At all. I refuse to bring more than a tiny (and I mean TINY) carry-on bag and maybe a small one to put under my seat. I prefer to bring only a carry on and my purse for under the seat. My rule is that if it doesn't fit, it's not coming. Most hotels have hair dryers so no need to pack that. If they don't have them, oh well, my hair goes on top of my head and nobody can tell anyway. (and if they can, I don't care!) 🤣 The crux of the matter is that I'm the one who has to drag it around and I'm not interested in dragging anything huge.
Many wont accrpt carry on plus personal item just 1 bag at 7kg.. 😢 Weight wise will get cabin max metz at 30l is less than a kg in weight. Used to use the carry on on 2 wheels but no longer any hoid as measurements have changed on most airlines. Only BA has a generous allowance.. However after bag waa lost for 13 days and expense it cost me with zero compensation never again ever will check in .. knew itvwould happen as never got 2 boarding passes at the start.
International airlines allow 1 carry-on up to max 21,6'' (55 cm) and 1 personal item, which fits under seat. Because US carry-on is often 22'' (55,8 cm) some international airlines accept it. Weight limits are very different. Budget airlines sometimes have 7 kgs (15 lbs) on carry-on and personal item in total. But normally weight limit is 10 kgs (22 lbs) on carry-on and 2 kgs (4 lbs) on personal item in total. Best thing is definitively to check always restrictions for cabin luggage directly online with airlines before flying. Travelling in Europe (I'm European) - not all cities have cobblestones everywhere. In center of cities (old town districts) you found cobblestones but not everywhere.
Ha! Yes-it can be difficult with a carry-on to bring home too many treasures. I'm always very mindful of that when I choose what to buy on my trips-jewelry fits well...
I haven’t been able to do a small backpack yet but for shorter trips I do use just the overnight bag I mentioned in the video. The less I have to carry the better! 🧳😂
I prefer to check my bag and only have a personal item on the plane. Easy peasy traveling. Frequently you end up checking your carry on bag anyway.

Yes! Very frustrating with airlines trying to get more and more money in baggage fees.

I completely agree!

Oh no! I hate when bags are lost, 13 days and no compensation is awful. 🙁
OMG! That's awful. They should definitely have compensated you for that. 13 days is no joke. I'm so sorry that happened to you.

The only reason I would take a large bag would be empty on the way over and full on the way back. 😅

Thanks for watching and subscribing! I appreciate you 😀
I’ve been traveling with carryon plus personal item for years. The next challenge is to get down to only one small backpack plus small purse.
I haven’t been able to do a small backpack yet but for shorter trips I do use just the overnight bag I mentioned in the video. The less I have to carry the better! 🧳😂
Can't do carry on if I want to take my Leatherman or Swiss army knife or my razer.
We definitely have to be mindful of airline restrictions with carry-on luggage.
Hi, I think your video is really nice. I just didnt like the audio. But your video is so good, it really is a pitty that the audio isnt clearer.
Thank you for that feedback! I will work on the audio for future videos :)
