Thanks, Swinn! I think you've covered pretty much everything. I use an Apple Airtag and TSA locks. The good thing about the built-in TSA locks, is that the zippers are locked down, so if someone does use a pen to get into your suitcase, they can't move the zippers to fix them to make it look like nothing happened. If you don't have built-in TSA locks, you can accomplish the same thing with a cable lock or tight zip ties looped through the zippers and the handle (so the zipper can't travel far from the handle). Or, spend a lot of money and get zipper-less suitcases with latches that lock - like suitcases used to have (something old that's new again LOL). Happy travels!

Good video. You had some useful tips. The test with the pen was shocking to see how easy it is to bust a zipper. Great work! ❤

Thank you Swinn, that was brilliant, such a lot of good thoughts and suggestions and really well put together. Personally hadn`t come across the vulnerability of the pen through the zip. Looking forward to a later update. 🤪

Good tips. I was really surprised about the locks.i have found the AirTags very useful. I also take a picture of my bags before each trip. This is really handy when a piece of luggage goes astray.

Air Tags only work with Apple phones. There is nothing comparable for Android.

@@Swinn-FG All talk....No action. I got Tile for my Android, but they only work within the 300 foot range of Bluetooth. Rather useless for luggage.

I now always travel with AirTags in my luggage. We were taking off and I used my phone to check the AirTags and saw that my luggage was back at the airport and off we went; without them. So when I landed I went to the luggage security and they found my luggage still back in the last airport. They delivered it the next day, but annoyingly I had to call the airport and tell them my bad had arrived at their airport, and to please deliver it. So DO USE APPLE AIRTAGS inside your luggage.

It's almost always possible to fix a plastic zipper. Sometimes it just takes running the fastener carefully and slowly over the problem area. I recently fixed a tent zipper by using a small awl to persuade the teeth into the proper place.

Yes, zippers can be a pain. I always have trouble with a favourite winter coat of mine

Tsa do not unlock your tsa bag. They always rip it open!!! They are not respectful of your property.

@@Sabby899-qp1dw Over the last few years I have had my bag searched by TSA twice. Each time they left inside and on top, a form note that the luggage had been searched and nothing was disturbed or removed, and thanked me for understanding their job of security. Frankly, after some thought, I was happy they did it, to help find bad people’s bags. Just recently I saw on television where an airport checked bad was searched and illegal animals were being brought into America to be sold to collectors. GOOD JOB TSA!

Apple airtags. Mine was removed by security when I traveled UK to China as NO lithium device is allowed in Checked In bags.
