I personally could not stand a 12 hour flight I much prefer the half and half flights that Emirates and Qatar among others do. On another point can you increase the volume you record at as I found it a strain to have to listen to you and missed some parts because of it, not much good if people can't hear you.

For me you find the right sort of location, it appeared very natural, like you i wouldn`t particularly go for the football variety of sanctuary. I have to say that I found the rafting rafters rather atmospheric. 😀. Loved it, thank you Swinn.

Great review like always! Love your plane review videos! About the seat issue, I recently went from Taipei to Paris as a backup of BR67. This was because it was quite full on BR67! I think the reason for your seat change was due to payload or full capacity due to the codeshare, I recently had a problem with that so may have been the same case for you. Also quite funnily, Row 45 was the same row I sat on for the Paris flight on BR87!

Really enjoyed that video. I think the check in for EVA at BKK is now much easier with the electronic system they have. BR67 always seems to be late in from Taipei, which knocks on to the departure from BKK and the arrival in LHR, which then makes BR068 late out of LHR as the turn around time is a bit too tight. I think BA are restarting their direct service later this year but out of LGW instead oh Heathrow.

I just hope that in the future they'll put a real A330 cockpit in it because it's got a load of potential. Maybe even make the cockpit into a flight simulator.

Everybody told me to fly on Emirates, so I did. Dublin to Dubai and Dubai to Bangkok. Dublin flight was awful, I must have got the worst seat ever. My arse still hasn't recovered. Coming home, Bangkok to Dubai on A380, I had to use 6 cushions to sit on, seat was really hard.

Only watching this now. I hate eating Durian but I love the smell.

Newly upgraded? Still 10 across economy seating on a plane designed for 9. Too tight. All they appear to have done is change the seat colour.

Love these videos. We had this issue with eva a few weeks ago when we flew lhr to bkk. I paid the extra (x3) to get the seats we wanted but not cheap and found it unusual. Not flown long haul for a while so didnt know if it was the norm now. Nor could i print boarding passes. Otherwise Eva were very good.

One Question Swinn. As a Hotel guest, is it must to pay for drink to access the 64th floor to view the golden dome area or we can walk around free without having to pay for expensive drinks?

I used to do LCY to Berlin every couple of weeks a few years ago for business. I totalled about 40 flights back and forth within a normal year (52 weeks). Loved it every time, LCY is such an efficient airport, 90% business travelers who know what they are doing, no delays at security ever, no screaming toddlers, etc. And the takeoffs really cure any fear of flying :) as you often feel like you are about to fly into HSBC or Barclays HQ at Canary Wharf 😂. We once landed in Berlin in January on heavy fog and snow and they had to turn on the auto pilot landing protocol (which I am told they only use in extreme weather conditions), so the plane landed by itself! We kept descending and couldn't see anything due to the fog and all of a sudden, you see outside and the wheels touch down. It was amazing!

All companies seem to care now are profits & their shareholders....not so much their customers.

Flew to Bangers in November 2023 for £960 & this March for £840, better seats in November & was able to choose at time of booking, couldn't do that for the March flight. BA have just put Bangers back on route schedule, 3 times a week out of Gatwick, just booked for November £702.00, but if you want to choose aseat, you have to pay extra. Let's see if it's as good as Thai Airways.
