Agree the bottle cap wasn't necessary but at least he put the filter material of the surgical mask (polypropylene) in the bottle cap. Although he may not know it. The tote bag that he used is probably made of polypropylene too. Polypropylene is very breatheable and is the main material in n95 and surgical mask. His video is one of the best on youtube scientifically speaking and visually speaking.

I think this not N95 mask, N95 mask do not work this way...What i learn abt N95 mask is when you exhale there is a rubber valve inside this filter which get open and you only inhale with the layered cloth.

Mask is OK but the valve serve at nothing if you use for inspire and expire to... And the filter inside is poor...
You need to use the valve just for expire, and inspire only in your masque for a good filtration.
The valve need to have a plastic piece that close the valve when you inspire and that open it when you expire only

I used your idea grabbed some supplies. No valve in mine tho. I added a couple of 3m filters to mine. I have 5 layers to mine all just fit inside each other easy to breath thru.

N95 don't have cloth inside air filter it's fiber with very tiny holes which won't allow virus or bateria inside

I have both N95 and surgical masks. Which is better? I did a very rough "sniffing" test between an N95 mask and three surgical masks. I sniffed a peppermint essential oil. It shows that with N95 i can still smell the peppermint oil. But with three surgical masks i can barely smell the oil. Does it mean three surgical masks are stronger and more effective than only one N95 mask?
