Don’t forget about the backstories about the bosses in this game. The most interesting backstory out of all of them is Queen Vanessa and The Snatcher where the two of them used to be a couple AND not creepy looking, until things have gone horribly wrong when Queen Vanessa saw the Snatcher (formerly Queen Vanessa’s husband) buying flowers for her at a flower stand (owned by a female), believing that he’s cheating on her, so the Snatcher (formerly human) was sent to the dungeon by Queen Vanessa. As a result, the two former couple has transformed COMPLETELY after that incident.

My only real gripes with this game is how short it is, which actually works in the game's favor as the need for more motivates a 100% run with very few things I won't look forward to in another playthough, and the story.
It starts off great, but then the villain disappears for most of the game, and comes back at the end with insane powers because....Final Boss needs to be an amazing spectacle? idk, it's like if Shadow Mario only appeared in the beginning and end of Sunshine, wanted something more like that where at least once or twice each world the villain showed up to remind you that there is an overarching story going on in the background.
Other than that I actually enjoy this game more than Super Mario Odyssey. Odyssey just goes overboard with the Moons and I quickly become tired of collecting Moons whereas in A Hat in Time, the Time Pieces actually feel meaningful and worth collecting. Odyssey should've had a half or third of the Moons that it has, the game didn't need over 800 Moons especially when almost everything you do gives you a Moon. Step on four switches to activate a boss fight? 1 Moon for each switch and a Multi Moon for the boss totally in 7 Moons for what any other game would've given you just 1. And there's other instances of getting several Moons for something that other games would've given you 1 for meaning the game legitimately could've had fewer Moons and still be amazing.
I enjoyed Odyssey, but that's not a game that I will do multiple 100% runs. 64, Galaxy, A Hat in Time? Oh yeah I will always have fun doing 100% runs. *Can't wait for the DLC worlds for this game, now if you excuse me, need to see if my PC meets the requirements so I can get into the Modding Scene.* Bought the game for PS4, but it's just so pecking good that I will gladly buy another copy. PS4 for casual, PC for mods.

They were actually planning for a Shadow Mario concept. In the Alpha build videos, there's a few times when you're chasing Mustache Girl around in a game of tag, and it looked like it worked pretty well, so I'm not sure why it got cut

What triggers me is how such a great game goes unnoticed because it was over shadowed by Mario odyssey, I'm glad I found out about it.
This game genuinley reminded me why I love games and that alone is enough for me to say even with it’s short length it could easily be worth 60$

Is everyone gonna forget that Snatcher was just an innocent person turned to a demon and he was like "Ok so I contract people's souls away? Got ya got ya, I'll do that." ? Also are we just gonna forget about his dialouge? I don't know why but the "Too much? How about just one? WHAT?! That one should have totally hit you! C'mon, give it a chance... You're kinda rude, aren't you?" conversation just gets me every time. I just love Snatcher so much, except the fact I will die if he someday smug dances. Just imagine, you wake up at three a.m. for a cup of water, you go downstairs and you see Snatcher Smug Dancing in your kitchen. That would be so curseddddd.

People keep saying that he'll wait until you move... I actually did wait my first time, and he did take the picture. He just says that you're "not very photogenic" once the photo is taken, rather than "darling, you moved!"
Grooves can take your picture if you stand still, it just takes a while. A good while. He says that you're not very photogenic or something to that effect.
It reminds me a bit of Mario. The rolling platforms are the same as sunshines. Hat is the main gimmick in odyssey. And actually some of the platforms looked like windwaker. But it looks great!

I think the only things to worry about are those people rule 34-ing Hat Kid, which most of the fanbase agrees is wrong, and people who praise the game like it's flawless with nothing coming close to it.
I absolutely love this game & it is amazing, but it's not perfect. Story for example could've been better, the villain disappears for most of the game when the end of Chapter 1 makes it seem like the story was just getting started.
Almost all the fanart is family friendly so you shouldn't run into the same amount of disturbing fanart that other games get.
As long as people aren't obnoxious towards others, the fanbase should remain in high regards. Would hate to become embarrassed of being a fan of this game like other games with horrible fandoms.
