I love Arcane that it doesn't forget any characters. Ekko had only 1 hour of screen time or even less throughout season 1 and first 6 episodes of season 2. Then he has his entire episode and at the end of Arcane he is the boy who saved everyone and everything. True masterpiece.
@@LianSchwarz I think he knows she left. Silco telling her to break the cycle and walk away and the "To take a leap, you have to let things go" between him and Powder are way too similar of a message. Plus he could be lighting the memorial paper for Heimerdinger, not Jinx.
Jinx isn't dead. Here theme is walking away to end the cycle and she keeps telling Vibshe doesn't need her anymore When Kaitlyn is looking at the archives, there's maintenance vents on the sides, she smiles realizing this. Yeah, ive read too much transmigration/isekai series to know how easy and tempting it might've been for him to just stay there and forget the other world. And it's not like he's denying that reality either. He also opened his heart to the people there which led him to reconcile with Jinx.

I've been saying this since S1, Ekko is the only character who's unarguably good in arcane, he's different and that's shown through the community he built, even tho he's just a teenager he showed a greater capacity to rule than both piltover's council and Zaun's Vander or Silco, we know that's what inspires Heimerdinger to help out in the alternate dimention. @@Kalakeiko No I completely agree with you, I mean Viktor had completely good intentions with creating the commune, he was healing people who were addicted to shimmer and trying to give people in the undercity a better life. I’ve seen the thing about like the guy not breathing in the chamber but that doesn’t mean he was actually dead and even if so I still dont see a reason why Jayce just started killing right away, like I get he was like omega freaked out from what just happened but I feel like he could have at least tried talking to viktor more
@capsav1232 Yeah, especially since at that point in time Viktor would likely have listened to Jayce, instead of proving him right about humanity being doomed by their emotions by trying to kill him immediately.
@@Kalakeiko While his intentions were good all along he couldn't realize his mistake until after it was too late. His idea of stopping all conflict by controlling everyone's thoughts is very radical and enough to be considered a villain whatever the intentions. But he had a way to do it and no one managed to stop him so he succeeded. The future we see Jayce in IS the future where Viktor succeeds. And what Viktor failed to see was that once all conflict ends, once there are no more problems, there is no way forward from there, nothing to work towards. Humanity (if you can still call it that) was stuck in stasis. It was nothing more than a wasteland devoid of purpose. "When every equation was solved, all that remained were fields of dreamless solitude." Conflict is what makes us human. It's what pushes us forward. Without conflict there is no change. Conflict helps us continuously evolve, adapt to our surroundings. There's another line from Viktor describing the anomaly from the hexgates: "This is a sophisticated conjuration. A singularity simultaneously self replicating and self annihilating. Flawless, exquisite chaos!". But you could use the same words to describe humanity as a whole. The imperfections, this chaos is what makes us "perfect". That's the show's final conclusion. Then, knowing this, what Viktor ACTUALLY tried to do throughout multiple timelines was find a way to stop himself from completing his plan, without completely breaking reality somewhere along the way cause time travel do be funny like that. As for the commune it's the same idea. Everyone there was healed but had their minds controlled by Viktor. They were no longer human and Jayce could tell. We can tell too by the way they die when Viktor is severely injured. They were no more than robots, which goes for everyone that would partake in the glorious evolution. And the reason why Viktor couldn't realize this entire thing was a bad idea is because he was under the influence of the hexcore (which almost completely took over after Viktor's supposed death in episode 6 btw, and its only objective was to spread itself to all of humanity). So if it makes you feel better, Viktor wasn't fully in control of himself either and only broke free after his bro hug with Jayce. With all that being said, Viktor is definitely one of my favorite characters from arcane, alongside Jinx and Ekko. Sorry for the super long comment but I hope that helped at least a little bit.
@madalinthegrey Yeah, I agree and I like long comments haha! I get that Viktor did have good intentions even in the end, considering he did heal people with the Arcane and his community was peaceful. It wasn't until Jayce had tried to kill him and all hell broke lose afterwards that he realised that humanity is doomed by their emotions and that war, greed and suffering will never end because of that, so with that realisation and the influence of the Arcane he went on with his plan cure all of humanity, even if said plan ended being more destructive and harmful than he wanted, ironically. I hate that they portrayed him as a villain and the final boss and greater evil that needs to be defeated by everyone and even connecting Piltover and Zaun, which is exactly what Viktor always wanted from the start, and speed running his development just so he could be somewhat like his League counterpart who isn't even a villain and just someone who helps people with their permission smh. At least they made him regret his decision, revealed that the mage who saved Jayce and his mom was Viktor and that he went back in time multiple times to try and avoid the dystopian future and had him save the world with Jayce by destroying the anomaly. The thought of everyone in Piltover and Zaun not knowing what actually happened and believing that Viktor was the evil villain who doomed them all, while Jayce was the brave hero who saved the world and sacrificed himself is just heartbreaking and tragic and they deserved much better. I wish they just went with his League of Legends version and had him heal people with his inventions in Zaun instead of making him a god who controls everyone with the intention of curing humanity and regretting it.
i really loved how the writers made Heimerdinger tell Ekko how long have he stayed in the alternative universe (almost 3 years), making contrasts on how Ekko really could've stayed there for a very long time but he didn't, he rushed his way out to save HIS world and that's the most heroic i've ever seen a fictional character do so far he went back to his world, saved every single person he could in the only way he knew and, even though he didn't stayed with someone along side him in the end unlike Vi, he at least knows and experienced that, in another reality, everything was perfect he really is the boy who fragmented time, and the boy who saved everyone
He SAVED the world. But couldnt save his. Also, Heirmerdinger needed the original Ekko to build up the Arcane thing cause the Au Ekko didnt knew shit about Hex Tech
Jayce got sent back by an all knowing Mage who got bored after they euthanized the whole world. Ekko and Heimer invented time travel, and even though they landed on a perfect universe, they CHOSE to leave. Pure genious and hero combined.

Ekko's back must need surgery. He undebatably broke it from carrying the fate of the world on it. Joking aside, Arcane was more than just a TV show. It was an experience. And, holy god, it was an amazing one. It had its flaws, but I truly enjoyed being along for the ride, and I say this as someone who got into the series a couple of months ago.
He truly is THE Boy Saviour. That title is the testament of everything he did for the sake of a better future. Man that is one heavy responsible and title to bear
Ekko did have his happy ending, his initial goal is not to be with powder but to give the child of Zaun a future and he did. Him and Powder is just an after thought. Let's not forget this is the person in S1 who kept on saying to Vi that Powder is gone. His goal is really not to be with powder. It's just a what if, and atlernate universe thing but not that deep.
@hanyu_dada I think the only thing changes on his perspective is to trust Jinx again and give her a chance, but not to be with her. Because if that's his goal then he will just stay in that alter. The reason is it already existed.
I think a lot of stuff with Ekko is either misunderstood or at least is more open to interpretation. I don't think Ekko WANTED to stay. I don't even think he wanted the Alt-Powder. I think meeting her made him realize how much he still cares for his Jinx. For all of the obvious faults Jinx has, it was clear by the way he talked about her that Ekko admired her and wanted to be like her. That's why seeing a reflection of her smile (the doodle, like the one that is superimposed on her during her entrance to the battle) in the clouds snapped her out of Viktor's control enough to rewind time that last time. He was like "Jinx wouldn't go down this way. She'd go out blowing something up." So he reversed time, blew a hole in Viktor's magic and let Jayce do the rest. This Ekko fits with this Jinx, not Alt-Powder. That's why he found it in himself to leave. He didn't belong there.
Just to say it again, yes, that's why I think Ekko used Chronobreak. Maybe he really understood what effect it would have. But I think it was an attempt to blow something up with his last gasp. He finally let his inner Jinx out, and he was probably never happier.
Couldn't agree more! Even if it was something he might have wished for, he was always about living in the present (ironically enough). And his present just isn't this reality. So he goes back and does something about it, "it" being his world going to shit ^^'
I think some part of him really wanted to stay despite himself of course saying otherwise. He had Benzo and his friends back. Piltover and Zaun were thriving. But I also agree with what ur saying, he cared for Jinx before this episode but not enough to save her from suicide. This alternate timeline gave him hope more than anything.
honestly, i don't see it that way at all. like...admire? i dunno. i think he cares for her - but she was also a deranged terrorist who killed multiple of the firelights and worked with silco. there was zero admiration in the way he spoke about her in season 1. and he was pretty mean to the alternate universe powder at first because of his experiences with jinx. he even asked her if it was her fault vi died lmao. i do not think he wants to be like her
@@okok-tf8rr I don't disagree about Ekko fearing and even hating Jinx. But that doesn't mean that he can't admire her too. "Thin line" and all that. When he talked to Alt-Powder, he was basically like, "'Dream you' didn't take a back seat to other people and just help them with their projects. She went out there and did things, changed things." I think it's very possible that Ekko didn't realize he felt that way until he said it. He saw "Good Powder" as a person who consciously suppressed her greatness in order to not mess anything up. In many ways, Ekko is like that too. He gave up trying to move forward to focus on trying to keep what he had. That's why he thanks Alt-Powder for making him realize he gave up on the idea that Zaun could be better and gave up on her potential. The philosophy he had that people think is unique and correct was flawed in his eyes. Ekko and Jinx could've lit the world on fire, in a good way. Their union against Ambessa is just a small taste of what they could've done. But that wouldn't have worked with Powder -- she's too soft, to repressed. It needed Jinx ... just hopefully one better adjusted and who channeled her energy into good. That duo leading the Firelights could('ve) turned Zaun into something resembling the alternate reality Ekko found.
Hey NOBODY IS TALKING ABOUT THE RUNE! The rune jayce got in this time line, is the one that ekko uses for time travel, and in the end jayce and Viktor use it (in their last scene) so i think they got time traveled some where.
One flaw in your reasoning, he's not making a "sacrifice" by returning, as his other self is being "supressed" by his presence. He's just let thing be as they are, and try to fix is one reality.
Indeed, he was the real hero of the story. However, to be honest ... he indirectly started the story by saying to kid-VI about Jayce, but this is forgivable because they were poor kids. Also ... and this is also not completely his fault ... He showed to Alternative-Powder that there are other universes and that he comes from one with VI alive. Well ... she has hexcrystals, knows now the technology and she is a genius ... I would not suprise that Alternative-Powder could become a jinx for her universe by trying to recreate the dimensional-travel tech and having ... less-than-optimal results.
The alternate time lines are because of Viktor gave always different rune. In this time line it was not stable enough, and the crystal s blow up. Killing Vi (maybe jayce) and creating a timeline in witch Viktor will die.
in the scene where they burn tha papers with the names of the victims on the bridge, you can see a girl with the same hair of alt-powder, that scene made me think she probably found a way into the main timeline.
@@donatszabo8300 No. This one was caused by Heimerdinger coming and by VI dying for the accident. Indeed there is no Hextech and Hexgates, and so no godly Viktor.
@@happypepper9326 they using the same rune that was give to jayce for ekko tie travel. So maybe, but i think the only difference betwen timeline a is causedby viktor
Objectively Jayce was the real hero of the story. It is all started with Viktor giving him the rune, to Jayce sacrificing himself together with Viktor to end the cycle.
with Piltover & Zaun believing her dead. She finally took that Leap leaving her soulmate, her sister and home behind to build something new,A new life,She found the Will to walk away so she can finally fill her own cup for a change. Start fresh. I think Jinx’s plan was to leave regardless after helping fight the Noxians. I think Ekko and the apparent romantic scenes that were cut where Ekko tell her about the Other Her, finding out that there is a good version of her, and it’s not too late for Jinx, they both build weapons together and paint each other, it’s unclear if she told Ekko or not that she was leaving, the fact he burned a paper, maybe she didn’t unless the paper was for the alternate Powder or it was for Heimerdinger. Cait figured out Jinx survived so maybe Ekko figured it out too, but had to let his soulmate go, She finally got to ride an airship ❤❤ Ekko most selfless character in Arcane. Having let one Soulmate Leave after saving her life and he left the Other Powder as well, must’ve been tempted to stay. True Hero.
He never gave up. He fought his whole life to do whats right. When he gets a taste of the life he has fought for and the beauty of it he still cant stay. He is immune to selfish ambition. He is the goat and my favorite champ for years. GOAT 🐐
Living up to both the title of "the boy saviour" and "the boy who shattered time" he is such an exellent example of a truly heroic character. And if the story ended where it is. He is a great example of what it means to be a hero. He sacrificed his own happy ending. For everyone elses. Man i just want him to be happy.
I said something along the lines of this in one of your shorts: I think other timeline Powder followed Ekko into his timeline. In the last episode at around the 43min mark ( 6:58 remaining ), you can see a girl with 2 buns, blue hair and a pink streak on the bridge when they gather the notes.
I think the saddest thing about Ekko’s ending is that he doesn’t have anyone else to mourn the loss of that specific universe, Zaun, or Powder with. Sure the other Zuanites will probably mourn the idea of the potential alternate universe Zaun but Ekko lived it. for a little while it was his reality not just a dream and he willfully let it go and no one else in his own universe knows and no one is there to mourn the loss of what not only could’ve been, but what *was* with Ekko
For jayce to get the hammer he needs to get transported into the nightmare dimension, which means ekko and heimer get send to the dream dimension. In my interpretencion the time ekko stayed in the dream dimension, there wasnt ekko creating the time thing that save the day. Which makes the so much cooler that we know what happen when ekko stayed. Everything ends.

I’ve been arguing for a LONG time that Ekko is the only heroic figure in the show. In Zaun, he was the only one cultivating a healthy community. People were far to focused on Silco’s gang when he was preparing for war and he funded it by selling shimmer (which pretty poisoned the people he is trying to save) If episode 7 proved anything, is that for Zaun to thrive it did NOT need an insurrection like what Silco was attempting, but instead actual collaboration (yes I know Heimerdinger also made a difference)
2:29 I know it's a quick analysis but i have to address this part. The part that makes this more impactful is not because he's trying to convince Jinx back into fighting some war. I'm pretty sure he's not even aware of what was going on at the moment. Ekko's purpose here was to first and foremost reconnect with Jinx. Because, as he said, he regrets giving up on her, not just out of selflessness but because he understood he still loved the things that made Jinx, Powder. They were one in the same. Because in that moment Jinx believed there couldn't be a good version of her, who better than the Boy Savior who has seen a good version of her, would be able to touch her on a deeper, emotional level. The act of "leaving a few things behind" and "the greatest power is to forgive" is the thing that saves her. Ekko really had the potential to serve as Jinx's emotional support the same way Cait serves as Vi's. We just failed to get any scenes with the two together aside from the bridge fight and this one.
the director talked in necrit´s stream about cut content and yes ekko did tell her about the alt timeline so about that ´´good version`` of herself we could have had another music vid of them bonding and building everything
I think the reason why he goes to jinx first after comeback from alternate dimention is because what he said to alt powder "i give up on it,i give up on you" but she reply"i never see you give up" and this gave him push to once again talk to his universe jinx and not giving up on her
Don't forget to mention his professor, Heimerdinger has a role to guide him being a good lad and warn him to take anything carefully as they are scientists who can either give benefits and harm to other people. His sacrifice to let Ekko going back to the main timeline will always be remembered for us.
I wonder how deeply this moment of sacrifice connects to Vander's choice to be arrested to protect the kids. He didn't get the Zaun he dreamed of, but he was willing to give up his freedom for an unknown duration or indefinitely to protect Vi and the other kids from the consequences of their choices. He had a life that he was content with and knew that giving that up was the right thing to do. I would have liked to see Ekko talk with this version of Vander about what he should do- what he owes others at the sacrifice of what is good for him. But another big arguably missed opportunity was this whole world being Ekko's chance to say goodbye to everyone who had died or likely would soon in his own timeline. He told Benzo how much the old man meant to him. But this was the last time he will ever get to see Claggor, Vander, Benzo, and Milo- he could have interacted with them a bit, at least apologized to them for giving Vi the job that got her killed in that universe and everyone else killed in his own.
Ekko es un heroe y actuo como un rey o como lo que deberia representar uno, el luchar por su gente y querer lo mejor para ellos aun que no sea lo mejor para el, un personaje muy admirable.
Powder is a very intelligent girl. I think that at best she understands and at worst she suspects that this Ekko was a different one. She makes the connection between him not knowing about Vi's death, and things become even clearer when he tells her about his world in the form of a dream, in which Vi is alive and is a courageous super fighter. He keeps talking about this "dream" and I'm sure she suspects something. This is also the reason why she is embarrassed when Ekko renounces her kiss, even though in her timeline, they are a couple and they would have no reason to be so shy towards each other. Everything is confirmed the next moment, when Ekko asks her to kiss him as if it was (really) the first time. Seeing Ekko leave in his timeline won't have surprised her, and then why would you want to make an object to go back in time ? She's too smart not to have understood.
Sooooo I just had a thought: since we see Jinx’s blimp on the side of the building in Jayce’s elseworld journey, does that mean that Ekko was there, too?? I know we’ll never have a clear answer, but it makes me think.
@ yeah. Thinking about it more, the z-drive was only enabled by inverting Jayce’s most recent rune, which was the variable future Viktor kept tinkering with. So even if Ekko was able to convince Jinx in that alternate timeline to fight, he wouldn’t have been able to stop that Viktor without the z-drive (as you pointed out). That rune plus Ekko, Heimerdinger, and Powder’s hard work, and Boy Savior’s clutch actions really made the difference
What do we think about the theory that he and Jinx had a chat while painting on each other and getting all stylish before the final battle ? It kinda appeases me to think many things are hidden in the details, and with the season being shortened, it is implied that some of the off screen action is very open to interpretation. And so that our boy had the opportunity to tell the girl he really loves (Jinx, his true powder) about her having a good version of her before she begins her new journey.
Ekko was the main component in stopping Victor, thanks to Victor. Ekko had a massive part to play in saving Runeterra, but it was the rune Victor gave Jayce when he wad younger, which was interpreted as an acceleration rune which was the vital symbol in the equation of creating the anomaly for Ekko to return to the universe he knows. Victor and Ekko saved everyone from Viktor.
To add to your point every other time Victoria gave kid Jayce a rune it ended in failure until the acceleration rune because Ekko reversed it to make his z drive boom
Don't forget Heimerdinger who was in Ekko situation for so long that he probably help building this alternate reality by not doing the same mistake he did in his own reality.
Just wanted to point out that in a way literally everything that went wrong for the characters was Ekko's fault directly. The catalyst that set off the event of the show started off with the heist of Jace's place. Who set that up? "Little Man", aka Ekko. No wonder the guy doesn't like to look at the past and instead live in the moment. He'd go crazy otherwise with all that on his shoulders. He even says something to that affect in season 1.
He was burning a paper for Heimerdinger- not Jinx. He doesn’t know Yordles are immortal and Caitlyn’s final scene + the Jinx themed “The End” HEAVILY implies that Jinx is alive and that I sobbed over her for nothing.
So that means in every other reality he chose to stay with Power. Being that only got into this to safe his tree, I can see way the other Ekkos took a pass.
My man Ekko is the real GOAT of this series. He had it all, but he gave up the universe of his dreams so he could save everyone. Huge respect for "The Boy Saviour".

I love Arcane that it doesn't forget any characters. Ekko had only 1 hour of screen time or even less throughout season 1 and first 6 episodes of season 2. Then he has his entire episode and at the end of Arcane he is the boy who saved everyone and everything. True masterpiece.
He saved everyone but couldn't save jinx 😢
@@LianSchwarz Jinx isn't dead. She shimmer ran out of into the top right of the frame.
@@J_SavedbyGrace_Eph28 ye but he thinks shes dead. I hope so much that we get a spin off of ekko searching for jinx
Here theme is walking away to end the cycle and she keeps telling Vibshe doesn't need her anymore
When Kaitlyn is looking at the archives, there's maintenance vents on the sides, she smiles realizing this. There's a flash of Jinx shimmering in her last shot. The Airship in the very past scene is the Airship that Powder said she would ride some day, indicating she's on it.
I’m shocked he didn’t even hesitate the second it was possible to go back. He was locked in.
Yeah, ive read too much transmigration/isekai series to know how easy and tempting it might've been for him to just stay there and forget the other world.
And it's not like he's denying that reality either. He also opened his heart to the people there which led him to reconcile with Jinx.

Canonically Heimer can't die. but we'll see how they play yordles off in the shows
Why can He not die ?@@IMGOSCHLEEP
@@IMGOSCHLEEP Yea but why would Ekko know this about yordles? The regular non-LoL playing audience doesn't know this about yordles.
@@enzoneillette9344 cause in canonical LoL lore. Yordles are made of magic and don’t die. They just respawn at Bandle City where yordles come from
@@enzoneillette9344 so imagine a being of pure/wild magic, that’s a yordle… if the yordle’s physical body is completely destroyed, their spiritual body hasn’t even been scratched yet.
Yordles will regain a physical form and return to Bandle City, until their spirit is destroyed they can’t actually die (something that vexes a yordle named Vex who tries everything to die for good because without it she feels living life is meaningless)
They also can’t be evil, a yordle named Veigar was tortured by a guy named Mordekaiser until his mind broke, he’s convinced he’s an evil genius now but all of his schemes just help people because he just… CAN’T be bad, it’s literally not in his nature
Everything else he does is just further proof of that.
I agree. Though I'm still frustrated that they screwed over Viktor's character like that ngl.
Viktor only ever had good intentions and tried to make a peaceful, painless and warless reality for humanity possible multiple times throughout various timelines and it never worked and he eventually just tried it the harsher way to see if it makes any difference.
Seeing people suddenly hate him, calling him an awful and cruel person and a manipulator among other things is just heartbreaking knowing how much Viktor had to suffer throughout his life ever since he was born for no reason and only ever wanting to do something good for humanity and ending up where he did.
He deserved so much better and I hate how they portrayed him as a villain when he isn't one, even in League of Legends.
"When every equation was solved, all that remained were fields of dreamless solitude."
Conflict is what makes us human.
I wish they just went with his League of Legends version and had him heal people with his inventions in Zaun instead of making him a god who controls everyone with the intention of curing humanity and regretting it.
i really loved how the writers made Heimerdinger tell Ekko how long have he stayed in the alternative universe (almost 3 years), making contrasts on how Ekko really could've stayed there for a very long time
but he didn't, he rushed his way out to save HIS world and that's the most heroic i've ever seen a fictional character do so far
he went back to his world, saved every single person he could in the only way he knew and, even though he didn't stayed with someone along side him in the end unlike Vi, he at least knows and experienced that, in another reality, everything was perfect
he really is the boy who fragmented time, and the boy who saved everyone
He SAVED the world. But couldnt save his.
Also, Heirmerdinger needed the original Ekko to build up the Arcane thing cause the Au Ekko didnt knew shit about Hex Tech
Objectively Jayce saved everyone. Ekko saved Jayce.
You're right, especially since Heimer told him "give it time, it will grow on you".
Ekko is one of the most selfless characters in all of arcane. Benzo and Vander would be so proud of him.
Jayce got sent back by an all knowing Mage who got bored after they euthanized the whole world. Ekko and Heimer invented time travel, and even though they landed on a perfect universe, they CHOSE to leave. Pure genious and hero combined.
If Jayce doesnt convince Viktor at the end and sacrifice himself the universe still dies. Ekko changed Jayces fate.

I felt so bad for ekko but had to give up his happy ending to go back and save everyone
@@silentliker that alternate universe experience easily can change your worldview
@hanyu_dada I think the only thing changes on his perspective is to trust Jinx again and give her a chance, but not to be with her. Because if that's his goal then he will just stay in that alter. The reason is it already existed.
@@silentliker Mean looked pretty deep when he kisses her then proceeds with jumping out of that timeline.
@@silentliker that same ekko also said that it was a mistake to give up on zaun and her
I think a lot of stuff with Ekko is either misunderstood or at least is more open to interpretation.
The man who saved his world yet he can not get a happy ending with his true love Ekko got done dirty
😔🤷🏾♂️

Episode 9 should of been called “The Man Savior”
I said something along the lines of this in one of your shorts:
I think other timeline Powder followed Ekko into his timeline.
In the last episode at around the 43min mark ( 6:58 remaining ), you can see a girl with 2 buns, blue hair and a pink streak on the bridge when they gather the notes.
I looked That up . Rly doesn't seems like powder .
And yes, I am breathing copium too
Nah that's one of the jinxers
Pretty sure she was black, plus she would have taken over the real jinx's body

I’ve been arguing for a LONG time that Ekko is the only heroic figure in the show. In Zaun, he was the only one cultivating a healthy community. People were far to focused on Silco’s gang when he was preparing for war and he funded it by selling shimmer (which pretty poisoned the people he is trying to save)
If episode 7 proved anything, is that for Zaun to thrive it did NOT need an insurrection like what Silco was attempting, but instead actual collaboration (yes I know Heimerdinger also made a difference)
MY GOAT 🗣‼️
Great analysis and perfect phrasing! Ekko is the GOAT
2:29
I know it's a quick analysis but i have to address this part.
Ekko deserved the world, yet got nothing in return for saving it.
I think the reason why he goes to jinx first after comeback from alternate dimention is because what he said to alt powder "i give up on it,i give up on you" but she reply"i never see you give up" and this gave him push to once again talk to his universe jinx and not giving up on her
I think this quote best summarizes Ekko as a character:
"Never compromise.
Even in the face of Armageddon."
Beautifully written story and character. This is what the activists currently vandalising pop culture miss. The story has to come first.
Ekko was just a side character, but he was the main hero. He saved EVERYONE.
EKKO ENTERED GOAT STATUS
Jayce did everything to escape Hell.
Ekko did everything to escape Heaven.
Don't forget to mention his professor, Heimerdinger has a role to guide him being a good lad and warn him to take anything carefully as they are scientists who can either give benefits and harm to other people. His sacrifice to let Ekko going back to the main timeline will always be remembered for us.
I know that its bad for my mental health but I keep coming back for more. Im fighting back tears, watching this.
He gave up a perfect world to try and save a broken one. Ekko deserves his happy ending.
The boy ho shatterd time, gave away perfect future for the presence he was needed in.
So I totally agree with all you said. Which makes me think we should have gotten way more screen time with hi

What makes him a Hero.
After the last episodes Ekko really become my favorite character of Arcane
Ekko is everything we all wanted Finn to be in The Force Awakens trilogy. I hope the folks at Star Wars are taking notes...
Love the Ekko appreciation
3:20 he's probably mourning for Heimerdinger as he knows Jinx isn't dead. This is the only case where Heimerdinger's death was recognized
my whole family loves Ekko. He is the MVP, the GOAT.
Ekko the hero who sacrifice his perfect life to save everyone. Singed, the villain who sacrifice everyone to save his daughter
Sooooo I just had a thought: since we see Jinx’s blimp on the side of the building in Jayce’s elseworld journey, does that mean that Ekko was there, too?? I know we’ll never have a clear answer, but it makes me think.
Maybe, maybe not, but if he was there, he didn't have the Z-drive so he would have bought it before reaching Viktor
Ekko is the only character that doesn't have a big ego. He really is a people person.
Not a lot of people would be willing to gave up a literal Heaven just to save one or more lives.😢
The hero of the story sometimes never get the happy ever after, and even less are not even recognized by their world to be their savior

That's why he's the GOAT, THE GOAAAAT!
My god it hurts so much 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
The main character is the show itself... Master peace...
To add to your point every other time Victoria gave kid Jayce a rune it ended in failure until the acceleration rune because Ekko reversed it to make his z drive boom
idk if id have it in me to leave something as perfect as that to return to the shit storm that was reality. ekko is their worlds champion for sure
no one could have done it at the end by themselves. They all needed each others.

Ekko is the hero Zhaun needs right now, but not the one it deserves.
i saw this video coming... im glad someone else saw it... hero.
I hope he will get a happy end in the future projet 😢🧡
As an ekko main... Im devastetad and pleased in a way i didnt know i could be
how do people get arcane clips for making these videos?
Don't forget Heimerdinger who was in Ekko situation for so long that he probably help building this alternate reality by not doing the same mistake he did in his own reality.
Just wanted to point out that in a way literally everything that went wrong for the characters was Ekko's fault directly. The catalyst that set off the event of the show started off with the heist of Jace's place. Who set that up? "Little Man", aka Ekko. No wonder the guy doesn't like to look at the past and instead live in the moment. He'd go crazy otherwise with all that on his shoulders. He even says something to that affect in season 1.
He was given a perfect reality on a silver platter.
Yet he chose to stay in his harsh and meeked reality because people back home needs him.
He was burning a paper for Heimerdinger- not Jinx. He doesn’t know Yordles are immortal and Caitlyn’s final scene + the Jinx themed “The End” HEAVILY implies that Jinx is alive and that I sobbed over her for nothing.
Ekko proved Ambessa’s point, the best weapon is sacrifice which he used to defeat the inevitable

and it said perfectly in this one…🪩🪩🪩🕺🕺🕺💃💃💃🕺👯♀️👯♀️👯♀️
it started with ekkos mistake ended with ekko fixing it -
Wow that made me realise. Ekko got a tip to hit Jayce’s place. It mustve been viktor that gave him the tip
Yes he's the true hero of arcane
I like to believe Ekko burned the paper for Heimer, not Jinx. Don't know why but something screams at me thats the case.
So that means in every other reality he chose to stay with Power. Being that only got into this to safe his tree, I can see way the other Ekkos took a pass.
If I ever play LOL for the first time, it will be Ekko~
3:27 "JInx that he assumes is dead"
Guys she might've survived..
I chose my words very carefully there
The boy is an inspiration
