I think she feels responsible for Jinx's actions bc by the end of season 1 it's guaranteed that Jinx not only killed a lot of people but took away any chance of peace between the two and Vi's view that Zaun has any chance of getting better w/o taking action. I theorize she's trying to take responsibility and try to make things better in any way she knows how even if that means being part of something she hates.

I won't even be surprised if this guy ended up becoming urgot because of Vi's constantly breaking his jaw that he was force to change it from metal jaw to a bane mask and he can only eat through the tube

Frankly, given Riot seems to have realized the Arcane team have been writing a better story than they've managed in over a decade and have full-on decided to make Arcane canon, I wouldn't be shocked if she outright steps down either during or in the finale of season 2. Jinx and Vi are both overdue for an ASU anyhow, it would be easy to make it canon in League as well and get rid of her awful, cringy police brutality lines.

Arcane is just one of many univerises within the league of legends multiverse, when you see a character is the game with say a PROJECT skin, that's just that version of the character in from the PROJECT universe. the previous lore was unique. id guess they snapped it cuz its difficult to keep making champions lore around it cuz it was always about how they are motivated to join the summoners rift and be used as puppets which became too limiting
