I agree with your points but I feel these clickbait videos are getting too much. Nishant chahar posted a video on how he got into Microsoft after failing in his first semester class. Dude had a cg of 8.5 in NSIT CSE. For god's sake, that is like the best a person can do. I feel like , you guys should be more responsible as you can literally convert this into another jee where everyone is vouching for those few spots at the top (which don't really matter that much btw). A lot of people viewing your content are juniors or second years who might immediately start thinking that these companies are everything and we will get into this perpetual cycle of not enjoying four years of college to do cp or get internships in first sem or whatever.
If you follow me, I can assure you, you will not have such problems. I have always said, CP is not needed. Always pointed out that there are many more companies out there etc. 😊

@@SoumyajitBhattacharyay Hello, I had a big confusion which is being a barrier in my career being a SDE I i have seen that people in non technical background maybe who have done MBAs or at any higher position in non-tech have great packages than the SDEs so should one move into non-tech after certain amount of time or like after a number of years the package would be same, please help?
@@rishabh7762 can you elaborate which roles. Every role differs and so does the compensation. Some role might require specialized knowledge and experience some might not.

In any tech company, SDEs will be paid more. 😊

I knew Kunal purposely was twisting facts about fang packages being near 10-15lpa only, but soumyajit gave perfect reply that, in fang ur career growth is exponential !! Ur salary in faang will easily beat remote jobs after good experience and cross 70-80lpa also.

1)He is against ed-tech startups and change.
2) India's whole tech scene is different in the next 5 years different hardcore IT products made college students what fair you think teaching kids make ed-tech startup and looting college students.
3) there is no such thing called CP it just marketing keywords use to things that college already teaching by your best DSA concept teach buy college teachers not buy this didi and bhaiya online.
4)there are very few on youtube who make videos actually teaching coding there just using their company name to make some money what is the value you get watching video tell about their lives you basic distating student what your life will be there when you reach the that you job you give them ESC from there hard work.
5) you why not make education content because will not get that many views that means less money for you to try to make real education content how hard does it make good content.
6) don't go point to finding mistakes in his content. try to understand by heart what he tries to see men this content is not scripted is but your content is hell scripted.
7) don't prompt rat race every time IIT, JEE rat race now CP rate race love babber promoted course unacademy which of 1.25 lac are you on weed man. supporting this kind of people.

Yes, I totally agree with you. I also follow his channel, for his work. But his attitude is something that I don't like. So I ignore that and just take the valuable information that I get get from him. I would also suggest my fellow students to do that. You're so humble. Lots of respect for you.

I'm an SDE-1 at Amazon graduated in 2021. I can confirm that base pay is higher than what's mentioned in Kunal's video. Leaving apart joining bonus, relocation bonus and everything else just the "base" is still higher than what kunal has mentioned

Jointing bonus -1st year and 2nd year ( along with your monthly salary ) (3 .5 and 3 l ) you get it on a pro rata basis so you don’t need to return it once you leave
3.5/12 =29k but post tax it’s 19k /month and second year bonus isn’t a part of the compensation cause you get it in second year
Stocks -10 lakhs (4 years )
5 stocks so 2L/stock
Relocation bonus -1.5 l
Considering their vesting schedule you’ll get 1 stock after 2 years (5% and 15%) and that’ll be taxable too so you get 1.4 l and post second year the vesting is 20% for every six months so 1 stock each
When it comes to stocks it’s a matter of luck the stock prices might rise or fall
People who work at Amazon move on to google or other companies so they usually get 1-2 stocks only
Other benefits - sodexo meal card ,internet reimbursement ,life insurance etc
The catch is taxes
You’ve to pay a lot of taxes ( on your base ,on your joining bonus ,your stocks and other cash

Conclusion -if your quoted CTC is 30 lpa then you get roughly 1 lakh per month.
So if someone tells you that I get 36 lpa it doesn’t mean they’re getting 36/12 =3 lakhs per month
They’re getting a lot lesser than that ( it’s not less though )

He is not arrogant he just speaks the facts and reality of what's happening according to the condition of overhyping faang
I was like Kunal a few years ago. I was making quite a bit of money in my third/fourth year and getting all these awesome software gigs. And that went to my head, which inevitably led to a form of narcissism. People like Kunal need to understand that having an attitude like that will always, no matter what, get you your ass handed to you. Life will literally break you and make you go back to zero. It's only being humble and decent that will help you thrive in life and make you successful.

What attitude? He literally is providing premium knowledge without charging anything and doing real community work. Go watch his dsa series and see the quality. It takes hours of patience to do that and even free. It's called selflessness not selfishness. All he has done is speak from experience about the reality of students blindly following a overrated dream and ignoring better things around them.
@@somuacharya6586 I had a similar trajectory like Kunal. I did a bunch of open-source internships, which helped me land some consultancy gigs.
This is only one example though. Just do what you like and get really good at it. Don't focus on earning money in your 3rd sem, use the time to build your portfolio.

His course is not even complete yet. He just have explained searching and sorting till now and he is saying that students are cracking companies with the help of his course. (Noice). And he is saying that Striver bhaiya ko parhana nhi aata, wait a minute, let me clean my ears and hear it again. is he kidding me? The level of the content is too good dear, try it once before speaking(or he could have watched, but he just want to defame). Striver bhaiya is making so many useful education videos for us, but he never just defamed anyone for his own publicity. Even if he is teaching at a paid platform, I don't think it's wrong. If someone is spending his time, then why he should not charge for it. Do your parents work for free? And if we talk about love babbar(whom you called as babbar sher). Yeah he is babbar sher for us. He is the one who introduced us to CP, open-source, etc. He is the one to provide whole list of 450 qts dsa sheet. He is the one to make videos on resumes, mistakes etc. He is the one to share company's interview experiences. I don't see anything wrong here. Targetting a person and getting views is what you doing here. Be mature kunal bro. Don't just spread hate everywhere.
He targetted Nishant chahar bhaiyaa too. Soumyajit Bhaiya explained this very well that everyone has different genre of video. It's not like that every movie should be a comedy movie. Nishant bhai don't force us to watch his videos, it is us who love him and we like to watch his videos. Those videos brings smile on our face and I see nothing wrong here. I am not sure about Kunal, but we are humans, we need to watch some joyful content too, to take some rest from the hectic schdule.
This 12-13 Ipa base may seem less to him because he could be earning more than that, but it's more than enough for the students like us. No one in our family has earned more than 30k per month, so 1 lakh per month is like a dream for us. Even if it's overrated, we are totally fine with it. He targetted many youtubers here, but for his kind information, we got aware about these companies from them only, how is the interview process and what all questions they ask, etc,etc,etc. Sabi itne bure b nhi hai bhai jitna yeh btaata rehta hai. Sabi apna apna kaam kar rhe hai. Negativity failaake kuch haasil nhi hogaa. Yeh acha parhaata hai, keep on doing that. Jisko jo sahi lagega, vo karlegaa. If you are good at something, don't say bad about the other things. Few days ago, he targetted Cp community, now RUclipsrs. What ever it is. All the best to him for his future.
And one last thing, you will not find a single negative comment on his channel because he has turned on comment reviewing option. Only those comments are visible to public which he allows. I posted this whole comment on his video, but that never got posted publically. Just a suggestion to him, " Stop behaving like a immature guy". Grow up.

Open the newspaper, do some research, you will find thousands of stories where an elder brother has left everything and is doing his best to earn whatever he can, to support studies of his younger brother, a younger brother has left his own studies and dreams and has supported his elder brother so that he can achieve his dreams, a mother has left her new born baby at home, and is working just to support her family, and thousands and thousands of these stories.

I can understand why he is arrogant when you do something good and people instead of appreciating criticize you. We get a feel of" tum kya bata rahe ho mujhe tumhari kya credibility hai" we feel angry it is actually tough to overcome it tolerance comes with time

No bro. That's not how it works. Your stocks are like your base pay. You get yearly stocks. As an sde 2 you get more than 20 - 30 lakhs of yearly stocks.
As an sde 3 you get more than 40 - 60 lakhs of yearly stocks. Which you can ask your company to sell and directly credit your account with cash salary. Or you can keep. You need not stay for 4 years the stocks that you get yearly are credited to your account in some companies every quater or in some companies half yearly etc. So please get your facts correct. Apart from this, you get performance bonus yearly as well. And on top of that you also can get extra additional shares that too yearly.
"Be arrogant on the work you are doing, not the money thay you are making" - golden words vaiya..I think very few people will get this despite having good knowledge due to their arrogance...🙂

My views are dsa nd cp are very well defined way to get a job , while open source and development are not very well defined but it works for some.

Today's generation is too much obsessed about money and not bothered about building right set of skills. Software engineering is a craft, we should be passionate about technology and money is going to follow easily. It's very rare to find people who are passionate about this as a craft and not behind money. Speaking this as sde 3 in amazon coming from tier 3 college.

When it come to a lower middle class family students it's a great salary for them coz they know and have seen the struggle of their parents to earn every penny to support their children education and they just want a good paying job so that they can support their family. Yes. I have friends in the companies that I am discussing. Apart from this, I also employ dirty tricks to get hold of information from unsuspecting employees in LinkedIn. 🙊🙊.

1. Joining Bonus is around 5.5 lakhs over 2 years.
2. Stocks system is pretty messed up -> RSU implements a back-weighted vesting schedule -> You can take out 5% only in first year and 15% only second year and 40% in third and fourth years.

But I would want to clarify 1 thing. That not everyone who is SDE1 becomes SDE2 with just years of experience and get salary.
Let us say if there are 9 people in a team. 1 or 2 will get promoted according to the requirement on the company. And many time MNC's also higher from different companies so its not certain that u will definately get promoted with just years of experience.You will get standard increment but magic number salary u hear on youtube is not true.
Moreover Chances of you getting hired are more if you are not competitive. You heard it right. One of my friend who is extremely talented and contributed to multiple projects.
Only know reason for his rejection was that he has a record of switching jobs.
Again if you are not getting promoted in 2 yrs then definitely you will not get the said salary using remote jobs. Both of them require skill.
Again as said, in a team at a time generally hardly 2/3 folks are only up for promotion, that's how people make teams, for most use cases. In Amazon you can get promoted every quarter so it is possible that folks will get promoted in that time range. The Average promotion case is around 2 years. Good ones get promoted in 1.5 years. So you mean to say you will perform bad than the average and still expect good increment that's not possible. 🙂. For promotion always internal candidates have the highest probability than externally hired ones.

With a team of 9 people,
Atleast 1 will be an sde 3,
3 will be sde 2 and 5 will be sde 1 out of which,
May be 2-3 will be tenured sde 1s with experience of around 1.5 yrs to 2 yrs inthe firm who will be up for.promotion and the remaining 2-3 will be new joined who will anyways will not be up for promotion. That's how a team is structured.
And 2-3 folks can get promoted together or even in between a couple of quarters. So I would say, pley take a note how the Industry works before commenting random things

Then you should know the reasoning behind the video. The state that you should not post videos about salary tells me two things:
1) either you are a college student for which case it seems understandable that you did not get the reasoning behind the videos
2) you are not. Then in this case it baffles me that you weren't able to understand the reasoning. Which is all the more pressing. You clearly haven't watched the video. The videos share salary details true but in a 13-15 min long video only 3 min is related to salary the rest 10 min I tell about all the aspects of a company, the work life balance, the teams what kind of work they do their tech stack, employee satisfaction, increment and average hike , promotion, the years of experience required for the roles, the interview structure the types of questions etc etc. These videos will help both college student as well as working professionals to know their value and correspondingly help them negotiate better. These kind of information has specifically helped me in negotiating my salary and has helped numerous professionals to do so. I have so so many testimonials for it. The very fact that you find it not usefuls led me to believe that may be you still are a college student who doesn't have much idea about how negotiations function. Apart from it, these will also help students and professionals to take decisions properly.
