    Great video. I am trading in my 2021 Ram 1500 and trying to find a used 2023 model y performance. I found one with 4K miles. However i drove it and noticed the alignment was way off. Called tesla gave them the VIN number and it looks like the person that bought this car has been complaining about the steering wheel not being centered since they purchased the car. The dealership agreed to take the car to a tesla service center before i commit to the purchase. Thx for the video

    One thing to note, if you are executing a trade-in and owe more on your current vehicle than its worth (negative equity) you will need to goto a dealership to get a Tesla that's the only option, you cant go through Tesla. Tesla financing doesn't allow the option to roll your negative equity into a new loan, however the dealership will offer financing options to accommodate your needs.

    Been looking at used model 3s for about a year. It’s crazy how much value you can get for some of these cars at dealerships. There’s plenty of sub $25k long range and even some 2021+ performance models are getting below that $25k threshold for the $4k used ev tax credit.

    • @josechimal1358
      @josechimal1358 3 месяца назад

      That varies from state to state. In the PNW teslas are still expensive, the ones under 25k are usually standard range, or long range with high mileage. I've seen that Florida has a lot of good deals.

    Today I went to look at a 2021 Tesla Plaid with 2100 miles on the od. Car looks new everywhere except the rear lower bumper. The paint is not quite the same shade as the rear hatch and the rest of the car. Salesman said that it looks like it has protective film on the lower bumper. I know sometimes that film has a tendency to slightly yellow. I guess I need someone from a body shop to look at the car and tell me why he thinks the bumper is slightly off.

    • @tesbros
      @tesbros  Год назад +3

      If you look around the edges of the bumper closely, you should be able to see edges of PPF. Some parts may be tucked in but there’s a good chance you’ll find some edges and be able to tell if PPF is actually on there. It’s essentially a layer of plastic so it should feel a little different than the rest of the car too. It would be a little strange if that was the only part of the car that had PPF though. It kind of sounds like the bumper may have been replaced and the paint color didn’t quite match. Also, PPF nowadays doesn’t yellow or crack with much improved technology, so that shouldn’t be the cause of the paint looking off. If you’re still having trouble determining what’s going on after checking it out again, email us some photos of it and we’ll try to help you out. Support@tesbros.com

    Question when you buy a used Tesla from the dealership that has one on the lot are you able to easily take ownership of the car in the Tesla app as long as you provide the three documents, Driver License, temporary registration or registration card, and business card of the dealership? Or do the previous owner have to release their information? before you can take ownership via app ?

    • @tesbros
      @tesbros  Год назад +2

      I would be cautious about buying a dealership warranty. Sometimes it doesn’t cover everything you need for an electric vehicle, and you end up wasting money. So just look over it first and see if it’s for you, but if you’re wanting warranty that you can’t get through Tesla, I recommend XCare.

      Why have you had so many Teslas?

  • @Dimplehead
    @Dimplehead 2 дня назад

    Why does a Tesla have a P100D sticker on the back but it doesn’t say P100D on the software feature? Is it still a performance model? It’s a 2018. Any insight would be helpful

    • @tesbros
      @tesbros  2 дня назад

      It should say performance or P100D under 'software' in the touchscreen if it's a performance model. It's also possible the previous owner put that badge on there and it's not actually correct. The easiest way to see what it is for sure is to put the VIN into carfax. You don't have to download the report to see the name of the model that will pull up. For example, it will say 2018 Tesla Model S or X P100D if it's accurate. Kind of a secret hack.

    Is it typical to pay, finance and get insurance on a used Tesla all in their app prior to delivery? Never purchased a Tesla before and it seems weird that I wouldn't be able to inspect the car at least prior to purchase directly from Tesla after delivery to the local dealership.

    • @tesbros
      @tesbros  Год назад +1

      If you buy from Tesla, you don't get to see the car until you go pick it up. There you can take your time and inspect the car and then accept or refuse delivery. If you refuse, you don't get the deposit back. And yes you pay, finance and all that through the app. It'll walk you through the steps of doing that as your delivery day gets closer. You missed one of the biggest issues when buying a Tesla from a dealer and that is transfer of ownership and Tesla’s onerous process. It is not as easy and straightforward as Tesla would have you believe. Matter of fact, it sucks.

    • @tesbros
      @tesbros  23 дня назад +1

      Generally these are the steps to transfer ownership:
      Tesla App: To set up your Tesla account, download the Tesla app and create an account.
      Ownership Transfer: The dealer will assist in transferring the vehicle to your Tesla account. This may involve providing your account details to the dealer so they can initiate the transfer.
      Vehicle Access: Once the transfer is complete, you’ll be able to access and control the vehicle through the Tesla app.
      What was your experience?
