@@gumbystown Thanks! 😄👍 We are way behind on snow this year. But after the past two winters I’m enjoying the break from it and generally warmer weather. Some guys are really disappointed with how winter is going but I find it neat that the low snowfall makes it easier to do other things you typically can’t do as easily with a deep snowpack. I’d be thrilled if we keep going with the snow drought and finally had a spring where things melt out like they do in the lower 48. That’d be mind boggling for us. 😆

It's always nice to have a quality air gun but the kid in me wants quantity I'd rather have six different styles of guns then just one expensive gun I mean I have a $2,300 gun that I barely ever shoot and I end up shooting a $50 Walmart gun
@@gumbystown That’s how I am too it seems. 😄 Yesterday I was shooting it again thinking how I could have stopped at this mod 36 and never bought another airgun. But how boring would that have been? I guess I should’ve expanded upon the thought in the video to mean a guy would likely be better off buying one new one than a series of $200+ Chinese made, department store level break barrels in their search for a good quality gun. So far I’ve had a Crosman Mag-Fire Extreme, Umarex Synergis Elite, Seneca Dragonfly MK2 and the Quest 800X that all either outright sucked or required additional work to make them decent. I’m likely forgetting about a gun or two in that price range from China. I’ve learned that being made in China doesn’t immediately disqualify a gun from being decent, but a guy needs to do a bunch of research and watch/read reviews from trusted sources to determine if it is any good.
Good shooting, I have a few nice springers and a couple budget ones too, my only complaint is, I wished the HWs or others would make a multi shot magazine so you could take 10-12 shoots without reloading. I don’t recall if you have a multi shot springer, like a Gamo swarm or similar, I think Umarex makes some like that as well. I just watched OTS shot an Umarex underlever (gas piston) which I understand is not as long lasting, but for $150.00 , with a scope included seems pretty fair deal. He was hitting targets at 50Yds pretty consistently, with a 10 shot magazine. Just curious your thoughts. Happy Holidays !
@@kurtthomas4746 I just watched his same video this morning and resisted commenting. I had a Synergis Elite in .177 I bought because of his glowing review. It was a mediocre piece of garbage that I sent back. The only multi shot break barrel I own is a remanufactured Gamo Swarm Hornet that has been an excellent gun. After owning a Mag-Fire and then the Synergis, I think Gamo is the only one who has the magazine concept figured out. His golf ball shot was either sloppy editing with the sound or fake. If you watch and listen there is no travel time for the pellet. I’m likely being conspiracy minded but after owning that piece of crap gun, hitting a gold ball at 50 yds on the first shot is pretty far fetched. Especially when the pellet hits it instantaneously. Could’ve easily been a lucky shot with poor editing to sync the target camera to the POV camera but for goodness sake, he had the explosion to use for timing and syncing. Anyway…. I’m skeptical.
@ Interesting, I will watch it again, I have watched several of his videos and I would not had guessed that of him, but ya never know, still I wished there were better quality break barrel or under lever that were multi shot capable. Maybe it’s coming, but you have to admit the Germans or UK rifles have really not evolved any, I guess they feel it it ain’t broken, don’t fix it. Take care.
@ Welp… I couldn’t resist and left a comment. I can’t help but being skeptical. I get critical comments all the time, part of being a RUclipsr. That’s why editing is a pain in the ass and takes a lot of time to get the syncing correct. Those German manufacturers are definitely conservative. But, that’s a good thing. They know what works and perfect it. The Gamo system is mostly plastic and while mine has functioned flawlessly, it won’t over the long term just due to the plastic construction. But, have a repeater is a very nice feature! I like the concept and am also interested in a repeater under lever.
I remember the old 1/2" thick Bass Pro catalogs. They use to taunt me with Sheridans, Benjamins, and Dianas. Lol
