- At the top of the Clock Tower and meets Skull Kid and Tael. Plays Oath to Order and the 4 Giants comes and stops the moon from crashing onto Termina. Skull Kid falls to the ground and seems to be unconscious. However, Majora's Mask informs them that Skull Kid was nothing more than a mere puppet and then Majora's Mask heads up to the Moon. Link decides to go after Majora's Mask.

The Scariest part for me was when the Moon's eyes glow, it's mouth opens and it says "I shall consume.... consume.... consume.. EVERYTHING!!!! That scared the crap outta me...

I have to admit, even for a Zelda game, this was a pretty good twist. The mask wasn't just something that channeled evil in the person that wore it, but the mask even had a will and personality of its own. Obvious, but a good plot device to finish off the game and gave us a spectacular boss battle.

I remember being a kid and getting to this part for the first time and my mind being BLOWN that the mask had it's own sentience and was using skull kid as a puppet. The whole game I was waiting for a showdown with skull kid then THIS

@@gnc623 There's evidence for it in the ending scene. You can see how the skull kid feels guilty for "betraying" his friends. However, the Guardian Deities understood that it was the Mask doing it and forgives the skull kid. You can see him shaking(implying that he's crying) cause he thought he had hurt them so badly that they wouldn't forgive him

It's probably because of the teeth and weird facial structure that makes the N64 moon scarier.
Dishwater well don’t get me wrong the moon in 3ds is creepy but it wasn’t even close to the n64 version but when I saw Majora entering the moon I almost crapped my pants as an kid but nowadays I’m not scared of the moon anymore but the Moon from 3ds looks like Nintendo’s version of Shrek

took me a month before I was able to fight him, and took me another to figure out how to defeat him. 😂

I thought the creepiest part was when the mask talks for the first time. It just gets me when it talks and there is still the happy music going and then it stops when the faries realize that its the mask talking and not the skull kid. Plus the first time it talks there is a subtle but noticable howl of the wind.

Who here actually expected the inside of the moon to be a meadow with a tree in the middle? Yes, people new to this game, that's what's inside there, no some patch of twisted blazing rock and fire.

1:29 i love how it came full circle. When the skull kid heard the giants, he broke from Majora’s control trying to pull it off while majoras tried to stay.
The part that always got me the most was “This puppets role has just ended.”

4:36-4:50 freaked me out. The way skull kid hovered like a puppet, and then the mask let go of him and he dropped onto the ground like a limp doll. It really makes me think about how the mask had no respect for living things, especially something as innocent and childish as skull kid was. Probably one of the freakiest parts of this game.

@DCombz This is what made it far greater than Ocarina of Time. The game is far darker and deep than OoT, and actually makes you feel for the characters around you, even if they are all just part of the game. Playing OoT just felt like a standard 'save the world' kind of game (though definitely one of the best games of its kind). Majora's Mask made far more of an impression to myself and no doubt many more
This game kept me up for countless nights as a kid. Years and years of nightmares XD love this game!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds nostalgia in this game. The N64 was the best console. Zelda was the game. This made me so scared of Majoras mask. I never wanted to look at the cartridge because it would scare me lol

If you notice, after he says if its something that can be stopped, then try to stop it. He makes a crack sound. I zoomed in and found out the skullkid was trying to take off the mask when when he screamed. After calling the giants, you actually see him trying to dettach the mask for 5 seconds and then screaming.
Skullkids scream always scared me as a kid but now as i hear it...its sounds bad ass

I just noticed something. Do different releases have different scene edits? When the mask takes over skullkids lifeless body the music and diologue kicks in at a different time on the version I grew up with.

Even thought the moon looks creepy, i think it understands whats going to happen, when you look at it from another angle, you can kinda see that it looks sad, being forced to come down to the earth, to destroy termina, we can even realise it because from time to time, the moon will drop a fireball from one of it's eyes wich will then become a cold salty tear...

Consume...Consume everything" was that Majora taking over the moon and commanding him to say that or was that still just the moon himself that ate Majora and is now using it's power to push back against the giants?

Soo, you have to fight enemies in different areas while wearing different masks that give your special powers, all in the span on 3 in-game days or else a moon with a scary looking face will crash into earth. Am I right or wrong?

But it could've done with the BETA version's moon. That moon wasn't trying to HAUNT MY FUCKING DREAMS.
@FlowingDepths Link finds himself on a endless meadow with one big tree. There are four children running around, wearing the bosses' masks. Link has to complete 4 short dungeons, then he has to fight against majoras mask.
That's a REALLY small moon once you think about it.
