TX driver sucks. Doesn't start the roll race side by side. And then totally sleeps at the dig race. Be more like CarWow and other channels where they bring in regular drivers for better consistency.
Lexus driver has the reaction of a snail plus from all the other reviews you shouldn’t break torque the Lexus
YEAH BRO! MAZDA CX90 WON LIKE I THOUGHT! WE ARE WAY BETTER LOOKING THAN THE OTHER TWO AND WAY FASTER! ZOOM ZOOM FOREVER! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
👍👍👍
I like the rear end of the TX but I hate how they didn't even give the 500h trim a dual exhaust
MDX always makes me proud 👏
That is so much money for a Toyota GH. Not worth it. The Mazda CX90 is very impressive.
You could also get a Pilot.
Bro brought them two beautiful toys to get embarrassed by a real Car 😂😂
Don't mess with the MDX!
Honda/Acura can't be beat, honda engineering is just too good. You will need a quick german to beat that acura.
Thanks for the video, I believe results make sense that Honda accura outperforms Mazda, especially that you are using the hybrid model , not the turbo S one comparable with the Accura, otherwise the gap will not be that much in my opinion.
Thanks for the efforts anyway, and keep it up.
Ahh in a prior video I was mentioning using the cx90 nice!
As a previous MDX Type S owner, I'm glad to see the truck giving good races.
did you downgrade to Mazda?
@@tonyhuynh6789 No, I downgrade to a cheap sedan, trying to save money
11:16
The guy in the Mazda says, “ That was like 1/2 a car, maybe a car, hard to tell…”
Then they cut to the still of the finish line and you could fit a 747 between the two
This guy is too much!
Still need to see the Type S vs the RX500h!
Type S will still destroy it
Beat one the other day in the Type S, it didn't have a chance!
That 10speed will destroy it.
That 10 speed is amazing. I own a car with that same 10 speed it shifts crazy fast..
I was hoping to include gv70 beside them 😢
Enjoyable anyhow ❤❤
The Mazda is such a good-looking SUV.
I’m impressed.. okay I’m not impressed anymore 😂😂😂😂😂😂
MDX is a class above every way.
that sound the mdx made during the race❤❤❤❤❤
Still mazda wins fuel efficiency and save money in your pocket 💪
Mazda literally is 20k to 25k lower in price than the 2. And the Interior is so damn nice. And so sporty. It's a no for corny Toyota but Honda always comes out swinging.
Just traded my mdx lease for a cx90phev. Miss the smooth low end torque of the v6 but the cx90 feels much faster. Not to mention the mdx had the worst tranny I’ve ever driven. Type S is a different story obviously. Not comparable.
I am really shocked that the Mazda CX-90 PHEV beat the TX considering the horsepower and torque disadvantages.
Although the Acura ultimately won the drag race when you consider performance, gas mileage & cost the Mazda CX-90 PHEV is the real winner here.
Lexus is over price. I think Mazda is the best overall for the price.
I'd still take the mazda.
I can't say it enough, the Acura MDX Type S is the King of SUV drag races
The BMW beat it but it was pretty close, MDX was reeling it in towards the end, lost by a 1/2 car length.
@@TheChismFamily MDX is still the king of suv drag races
@@kennethmukuka3715it’s the top trim going against base trims. Let’s bring out the X5 M50i or even the updated X5. 😂
@@ryanturnerboles Acura MDX is still King
@@kennethmukuka3715 what does that even mean 😂
MDX is a monster , I just love that sound. Mazda is a great SUV but of course can’t hold a candle to the Acura. It was impressive to see the Mazda beat a Lexus though .
Acura is King! 🎉
The drag race of the TX the TX didn't hit the gas on time
My guy on the Lexus is not serious next time call me for a trial
Was Mazda fully charged at the beginning of the fuel economy test ?
There is the plugin hybrid TX550h+.
Yes
For that performance and the big gap price and a cx5 owner I'll take the cx90 no doubt..👍great work Sam good video..
comparing these 2 with Type S, direct competitor of Q7/8 and X5 was silly =).
But what about RX500h?
Beat q7/8 loss x5.
Acura has great performance but the fuel mileage is unacceptable. $92k CDN (i spec’d one) is ridiculous.
I do Love Accuras..Honda knows what's doing...big up MDX❤
Lexus lost in the game because of mainly two reasons, the driver's response and the gear ratio of its 6-speed transmission compared to the other two.
The Lexus driver messed up big time
I wish the TLX was one of the quickest in it’s class.
The TLX beat all its direct competitors at MotorTrend's Figure-8 hot lap, even the M340i. It's more of a handler than a drag racer
@@TheBreakfastLoverI know it handles very well but I was just talking about in a drag
If it's 0-100 mph that you're after, honestly, I will be looking into American Muscle cars or EV.
The roll races are never equal
MDX is wiping the floor with the competition on all these videos lol
Good race anyway., this time fair race
You should do the Acura MDX type S vs. the Ford Explorer ST
Done it
At these price points it should be the base spec MSX that should be compared against, not Type S that is $20k more.
That v6 i will prefer
another day asking for you to race the bmw 330i vs elantra N
@sam CX-70 inline 6 cylinder please.
That thing will be fast
honestly you should be driving each car so it would be more accurate, some people's reaction times are SLOW AF! as you can tell.. lol! would be best if you're able to drive all three cars from your perspective as well....
Bring back station wagons 😂
That Lexus is hideous
lol I suspect even a normal MDX will keep up with the TX500h and CX-90 PHEV.
CX-90 still needs to fine tune its transmission shifts. I have been test driving since its launch. It's getting better but still nowhere peak. It hesitates at lower gears. CX-9 seems to have far better and smoother transmission shifts with its 6-speed vs the new 8-speed one for CX-90.
Hear there was a recent major update to software to transmission....
The transmission seems to be mostly fixed, please google 2025 Mazda CX-70 First Drive by Motor Trend, the reviewer tried to replicate the transmission issues and they confirmed it has been sorted out.
Where's the Rav4 Prime?
Honestly, I think that Mazda could barely take a regular 3.5 MDX.
I’d honestly love to see that!
Base MDX loses to the Mazda.
About 7 cars my friend 😁
Cx70 phev is a two seater like the Acura MDX.. that would've been a closer race
nice races
Acura MDX has to be my next SUV mehnnn.. But I won't touch it till they make it Hybridized. When they make those things in Hybrids & PHEV. I'll be one of there first customers. With the price of gas today, we need better range.. At least 35mpg. 🤷🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🚶🏾♂️
I think it should've been the RX F Sport competing on this one
Question? Instead of the Lexus TX why not do the Lexus RX 500H? I feel it would have been better than the TX?!? Just curious 🤔
Acura MDX type S vs Lexus Rx 500 H F-Sport.
Lexus guy doesn't know how to launch control , I bet if he drives Mazda or Mdx all would fail.
Kudo to the Mazda. It’s got a NATURALLY ASPIRATED 4 cylinder in there versus a 2.4L turbo inline 4 with 3 electric motors AND a twin turbo V6 that weighs 500lbs less
The hybrid CX70/90 is oddly faster than the Turbo S (aka turbo inline 6 in the highest power output).
Either way W for Mazda (and Acura but that’s been the benchmark anyway)
They raced the Mazda Turbo 6 against the type s and it lost and this is the hybrid cx-90. None of the cx-90 trims touch a Type S. 🤷♂️
"half a car ....maybe a car". LOL
That mazda got gapped by like 3-4 cars
People think the gap of 4 car lengths was not that big a deal?
Track them and the Type S will put hundreds of meters on these two
Who in their right mind would choose the Lexus TX over the other two? It's ugly, anachronistic, and at 94,000 CDN it's an insult!
