Omg you guys hardly move! My band directors and guard directors literally make our drill so difficult. We have to move across the field running just to make it to our spot and by the end of a runt through I’m soaked in sweat. It’s totally worth it though at championships.
Yesss same. We have to jazz run soooo much just to get to our spots. I was on the 25 yard line on side 1 (of our field) and had to Make it to the 45 yard like on side 2 ( the other side) on 12 counts 😬it’s annoying at times but TOTALLY worth it in the end for the football games and competitions

Ting Zhang our call time was legit bc our school is in the mountains so anywhere we go for a competition is 45 minutes to 2-3 hours. and where we had to go was roughly two hours
So I’m a freshman and I auditioned to be in the top band in my school and I made it!! But it’s actually harder than I thought because they have high expectations from us since our band is one of the best in the state, but after I got used to it now it’s pretty fun
My band does not trust out Color Guard enough to have Guard members with flags so close. We literally are such a small Guard too! Only about 14 people. I would kill to have our own closet as well. We have 2 closets with only 2 slots each and it’s within the band closet (where they are annoyingly playing 4 square all the time) so it’s a struggle. I hope y’all continue to do well at competitions!
I am in the color guard also! When I saw you guys get first place and just get so excited it really gave me goosebumps lol i love that feeling. i am so very excited for this year’s season. I also loved the golden silks and you all were so together!! Have a good 2018 season!!
OMMGGMMGMG i used to go to Prairie Heights Elementary when i was younger! ahh what a coincidence! i remember that football field very well. had some good times living there :) and great job on the Romeo and Juliet, i played that in a youth orch last year.
oh yeah, i remember waking up around 8am in the mornings when i was little and going outside to hear the drumline echoing to my neighborhood. CR has some great bands!

We have a male colorguard. I’m a majorette but I participated in winter guard last year( not only was it the schools first time doing winterguard but it was also my first time being able to participate in anything. I’m going into ninth grade now) and this is awesome

In Florida at least, the biggest division is AAAAA. It's also the most competitive... And my band is moving up into it. Rip. No trophies for us this year.
We have the smallest guard room... we have 9 or 10 people and we can barely change in there. Today we got or costumes and tomorrow is our first comp. This is my first year of being in matching band.

Lol I wish my schools guard wore capezio Jazz shoes. They have “outdoor guard shoes” or something. As a dancer I prefer the capezios but it doesn’t matter since I march flute 😂
I wish my band was bigger but that's the only thing since we've gotten 1st or top 5 at all of our comps we have maybe 50-60 kids just in the band and maybe like 20-30 in guard
I am from Independence and I heard you say Prarie in your video but I didn’t think it was the same Prarie competition I attend with my band every year😂😂 I love watching Linn Mar perform every year and yes - your guard is always amazing. Hopefully you do well this season!! I know Independence is ready for competition season to start!!!

Lucky for you that when your break is over you can kind of just mosey over. For us two whistles is 2 minutes 1 whistle is one minute and a quick 2 whistles is 30 seconds so if you aren’t back by the time we’re called to attention that’s pushups 💀😂

My band does MPAs the same day as our hosted competition. At least we're at our school so if we have extra time between, we can just leave.
And yeah semis and the finals is the grand finale to the season on the same day.

Your high school competes. We go on one trip a year and compete but we usually just do games and parades .
Our band does the same cheer for posture. The drum majors are always mad cuz we don't participate other then the section leaders. 😂
