can someone explain me the different between a remote interpreter and someone who works for companies like a call center{ Because everyone say that I work as an interpreter in a call center and, there is not a difference between a call center worker, only that "I translate and, I feel bad when people tell me that.

So… I believe you're asking if there's a difference between a remote interpreter and a call center worker, such as a customer service representative. Is there a difference? Yes, we do completely different work, much like doctors vs police officers, or senior software engineers vs high-rise building window cleaners.🤓
It seems the underlying assumption in the comments you heard is that "call centre work is entry-level and anyone can do it" and that "remote interpreters are not much different from call centre workers because any bilingual person can do the job."
This is an unfortunate way to view any job, in my opinion. The notion of a job title hierarchy, where a CEO is valued more than entry-level employees, might be true to some people, companies, or society. However, I don't believe it's fair to compare two different professions to determine which one is more important or valued based on someone's arbitrary standards.
I have a lot more to say about this, but I'll stop here. Instead, I will try to make a video about this topic to reach other interpreters as well. I will make sure to include your comment in the video. Thank you for bringing this up, and I hope my answer provides some insights for you! 🥰
