    안녕하세요! 캐나다에 거주중이면서 의료통역 자격증 준비하려고 여기저기 찾아보았지만 길을 잃고 헤매고 있었는데 이제 어디서부터 시작해야 할 지 감이 잡히네요!! 너무 감사합니다. 코스 잘 듣고 꼭 자격증 따서 후기 남기는 날이 올 수 있길요! :)

    So I should be able to search your training course by your registry id for IMIA, correct? Would you let me know the registry id please? Thank you.

    • @masontheinterpreter
      @masontheinterpreter  Месяц назад +1

      Hello there! That is correct. The registry ID is 24-TR-1019, and you can also simply type "UTIP" for Interpreter Training Course Name, and it will pop up. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions!

    Thank you, Mason. I took UTIP course a few months ago and passed the written exam today.
    The main reasons for taking his class were that the course was reasonably priced and relatively not boring. Also, I finished watching all of his lectures already, so why not paying for the practice exams and a certificate?
    For the interpreter part, I almost solely relied on his lectures and practice exams.
    For anatomy and physiology, in addition to watching CrashCourse videos that Mason has included in his course, I took other youtube videos that are easier for me : )
    I hope Mason will post more videos regarding the oral exam.
    Thanks, again!

    강의를 수강하고 싶은데요! 장기계획으로 한국어와 스페인어 두개언로도 다 따려고하는데요. 40hour courses는 한번만 들으면 되는걸까요? 한국어.스페인어 다 능숙하고 통역경험 있습니다. 다만 의료분야는 처음입니다.
    저같은사람에게 조언좀 부탁드립니다^^

      안녕하세요^^! 네, EN-SP, 그리고 EN-KO 둘 다 40시간 코스 자격증 하나만 가지고도 지원하실 수 있습니다! 언어에 능숙하시고 통역 경험이 있으시면 많이 수월하실거라고 생각합니다. 보시는 시험 (NBCMI 또는 CCHI) 상관없이 필기시험은 영어로만 나오기 때문에 언어적인 부분은 걱정 안하셔도 되고 의학 관련 공부에 집중 하시면 될 것 같습니다. 혹시나 궁금하신 점이 있으시면 언제든지 댓글 남겨주세요~!

    Hi Mason, I just saw your channel yesterday and finished watching your 3 parts series of how to become CMI. I have a serious question that is will the course you introduce fulfill the 40 hours of medical training requirement for the NBCMI? Or would it have to be a well known online course?

    • @masontheinterpreter
      @masontheinterpreter  4 месяца назад +2

      Hello there!
      Yes, my course, MIPCP will fulfill the 40 hours of medical training requirement for both NBCMI and CCHI. Although my lecture videos are available on RUclips at no cost, you will need to purchase the course and take the course on my website (www.UTIP.ca) in order to receive a certificate. I hope this answers your question!

      @@masontheinterpreterHi Mason,
      Thank you, your response did answer my question. I will spend the next couple of days watching the lecture videos on your channel, and when it’s time I’ll visit the pay course on your website for the certification. I’m looking forward to learn from you!
      Eddie

      @eddiedowntoearth Hello Eddie, thank you for letting me know! Just a reminder, you do have to take all the quizzes (there are many!) and two practice exams to receive your certificate at the end in the paid version of the course. Good luck and feel free to leave any questions in the comments, or if you prefer, I am just one email away. 😊 Take care, Eddie!

    HI Mason I have a question so in the pay version of the course everything will be in there like the practice written exam, oral exam, what should I learn before the exam, and material to study. Thank you!

    • @masontheinterpreter
      @masontheinterpreter  4 месяца назад +1

      Hi there!
      Sorry for the delayed response.
      The course will cover the knowledge you will need for your writtne exam, from interpreting knowledge such as code of ethics, roles of interpreters etc, to anatomy & physiology medical knowledge! Now, the course indeed covers “how to interpret” which I call 5 interpreting skills that are extremely important for the oral exam; however, just watching the lecture videos alone will not be sufficient to pass the oral exam especially if you have not worked as an interpreter. That being said, taking this course isn’t a guarantee to passing your certification exam but definitely a helpful guide to get started (not to mention the actual certificate that you are required to have before you can take the written exam!)
      I hope this helps and please feel free to let me know if you have more questions!
