- Habibati! I feel like I missed out on a certain musical path by not getting too much into Metallica growing up. I'm glad I have you guys (and Joey sorta) to get me into bands like them and so many other great ones. This is the second song I check out from the S&M DVD, the first being 'No Leaf Clover', but 'Bleeding Me' had a certain mood to it that I really really loved.

Outlaw Torn is my favourite from S&M. 10 minutes, flawless utilization of the orchestra. But the whole set it incredibly good.

selam habee bee ,,, this is so underrated Metalllica's song .. esp. with S&M ... i loved this song even before they "emereged" it with orchestra, but with S&M .. man .. this is piece of art on another level ..... tbh, i watched this video about 1000 times - NEVER noticed that James kicked the stool .. lmfao .. i was in the song every time .... the middle section of this song is what brings me up and down at same time .. lyrics - everything i need .. greetings from Bosnia .... and, yeah .. you might give a try to Hunnghai, mongolian etno/hard rock

I’m one of the odd Metallica fans who quite likes a number of the tunes from Metallica’s ‘grunge period’. I’m particularly fond of this one, as well as ‘The Outlaw Torn’. These two tracks, plus the S&M version of ‘The Thing That Should Not Be’ were permanent fixtures on my psychedelic trip mix tapes. Of course, I was a fan of *Ride the Lightning * and *Master Of Puppets* long before *Load* was ever released; it’s just that I didn’t despise *Load* the way most of mi mates did.

I still think of Tool as "newer" rock, I think because they came out when I was barely a teenager and it was a game changer. A transitional movement in Rock.

Metallica is the gateway drug for me. Recently I decided to give them a listen, because I HADN'T. I regret that. Because now I can listen to Maiden too. Who are a joy. And then my YT feed gave me Nightwish. And they cut me, I will bleed forever.

In my opinion 1989-91 was the peak of Metallica's Thrash, hard heavy Tallent... But 1999 was the peak of there musical Tallent.
