Those handles were super common on all the old spring loaded drawbar pulled moleboard plows and tillage equipment always something cool gets found in a hay field
Another awesome video!! Brother and I put up round bales to sell. You have convinced me to set up preservative on the baler! I saw those rolls of plastic in the corner. I gather that is what you lay down on the ground in the sheds? This is whhere we need to do something. You just lay down one layer? anything special under the plastic? Use it more than one year? Any info would be so much appreciated! I want to get a new moisture meter also. I see you use a Delmorst. You like the needle one over the digital one? If you have timee to reply I very much appreciate it. I'm always excited when you put up a new video!! Thank you!! And yes...I am one that notices the little details that you add!!
Hey, thank you! Most of our storage is fill or dirt floor. We buy the black, 6 mil plastic rolls from Home Depot and put them down and then put straw on top (usually). One layer is fine as long as you aren’t driving on it and ripping it up. We will replace the layers every year in the front of the barns where traffic is high, but the back usually stays fine. Maybe just some more straw before putting a new crop down. I prefer the delmhorst analog because I can move the probe around and get a better feel for moisture of the general area, not just an isolated reading.
I'm pretty interested in the silo king product you are using, What did you decide with the 40% moisture bales good or no good can you sell them as good hay ? Thank you for the videos....
Somehow, it is comforting to know that hay tornados happen in places besides just the Colorado mountains. Cheers!
Cheers!
Another great video!!! Definitely my favorite channel! Thank you 👍

It’s completely fine. We will rebundle all but about 6 bales out of 105 and sell as regular
@@FarmingInsider Thank you.

I want a shirt
We are working on a simple way to get some. Coming soon!
I don't think you ever liked manual labor. I had a great uncle who was 80 and could unload wagons all afternoon. (60# bales).
Sounds like a tough guy! That’s not my ideal afternoon
