  • Farming Insider goes in-depth into the process of making hay! 46 years of farming forages and this is the VERY first time our farm dove into the task of making silage bales! We had a nice patch of thick grass ready to go and only a small weather window. We took advantage of what we could and made 1700lb silage bales. Check out the oddly satisfying clips of modern hay equipment running back and forth!

    This has to be one of the most PRODUCTIVE days on record for Northern Ohio. You all have turned nothings into somethings. Love seeing such a nice fleet with knowledgeable operators share their craft. Have a blessed day.

    How on earth can you pay for all that equipment selling hay etc. How many bales of hay or other crops do you have to sell to pay for all that stuff. Stressful.

    • @FarmingInsider
      @FarmingInsider  3 года назад +2

      For us, hay pencils better than any other crop we can put into mass production. It does require lots of volume though.
