    This reminds me of when RUclips was actually good instead of big super stars just instantly getting there fam with garbage content, when people actually cared about the content and not as much as they made so thanks.

    I just found your RUclips channel today and I really like your work. It is real hard and concentrated and you learn things by doing them repetively. I also really like your mentality. You don't show off, although you reach your goals. It is a great Motivation for me seeing you making that many progresses.
    Two months ago, I suddenly found my own motivation during exam time and started to do various kinds of training, like pull-ups and push-ups, swimming in the lake, learning Chinese and getting back to badminton and chess. I used to be a real good player, I even took part at the world championship but I lost a bit of interest. Now I want to come back stronger and I will train hard for it.
    To sum up my goals: improving my foreign language skills (English, Chinese and French (I am German with Chinese parents))
    Get a rating of 2300 in chess at the end of the next holidays, starting to play the piano, doing a muscle up and a bridge and learning cooking.
    Although no-one will read it because I am pretty late with this comment, it just fell foot to write down all my goals.
    I wish you all the best in the future. Keep up your motivation!

    I never thought this could be something that could be shared like you do but I have the same approach. Be it learning a complex guitar piece, running a marathon, trying to spin a pen around my fingers. I find the best quality is perseverance. Focusing on something, I mean really paying attention to the slightest of details requires perseverance. A lot of the time you swear, I'm the same, but that's just a way to evacuate all the nervosity to be able to refocus like you're doing it for the first time. What you're doing is great, you're making people realize that for the most part the barriers are the ones they set themselves, and that where there's a will there's a way. Keep up with the great job. You're inspiring me to learn new skills too.

    Hey Mike,
    This was one of my goals for the summer.
    To be able to write with my non-dominant hand (right).
    It was quite a challenge, but I was able to do it pretty well.
    Now, I challenge you to do the same.
    In a "learn quick" episode, learn to write with your non-dominant hand.
    It is quite a challenge to comprehend how to form the letters and how to move your hand and what-not, but it was a lot of fun.
    I challenge you!!!
    From,
    A loyal subscriber.

In 5 days I was able to solve the Cube without the instructions and 2 days after that I was able to solve it in under 2 minutes. Now I really got into it and started getting faster and even buying a Speed Cube. You really inspired me to learn it. Thank you, Mike.

    Learn to type at 100 wpm

    • @aidanbrumsickle
      @aidanbrumsickle 6 лет назад +2

      That one's hard. I've been working on improving my typing speed for a while, and I'm at about 90 - 100 wpm, but I found it hard to find resources on specific technique when it comes to typing quickly. Most stuff is just the basics like "don't look at your hands / the keyboard" but I want to know things like "should I move my hands around to minimize the stretching my fingers have to do" and "should I try to minimize the force I use and work on sensitivity to a mechanical keyboard or should I be used to using a certain amount of force so I can still type accurately on a normal keyboard?" or "how should I structure slow practice to actually improve fast typing?" All things that make improvement slower. But if I take the time to think about each of these I can figure out practice techniques and experiments to figure out the answers.

    • @Ausar0
      @Ausar0 5 лет назад

      After practically living on the internet for years and learning proper typing technique, this just came naturally to me. I didn't have to directly practice it. The fastest I've gotten to is 130 wpm I think, and I know there's people who are still way faster

    • @Prymistic
      @Prymistic 4 года назад

      @@Ausar0 then you typed that comment in like 25 seconds?

    • @Ausar0
      @Ausar0 4 года назад +1

      @@Prymistic something like that, yeah.
      Most of the time I'm somewhere around 80-100 WPM, but when I really push myself and get something that's a little easier to type, I can go 120 or 130 WPM every now and then.
      There are some people who can go as high as 200 WPM and that's just insane to me.

    What I got:
    100% effort -20/40min sessions. Keep it smart
    Keep at it everyday
    Drink water
    Have a precise goal in mind that can be, in detail, visualised
    Most importantly: Celebrate every small win moment
    With this I will get that A in maths. Though the mental fatigue will get me down the most, I will do it!

    You need focus and drive
    Be motivated by sense of accomplishment
    1. Set a clear concise objective with a milestone
    - tell it to someone
    2. Keep leaening sessions to 20 to 40 minutes a time
    3. Break it down into different components, put it all together after separate
    4. Stay hydrated, sleep, eat well, look after body.
    5. Celebrate successes

    Hey Mike! I love what you're doing. Growing up I was interested in learning a lot of little skills and I'm still interested in learning many new things. I think learning is a huge part of life and I'm glad to see you embracing and spreading the message so well! You've inspired me to keep learning and now I know how!

    You should do something like a learn list. Where you read comments and pick which ones you would do or not.
