      I mean let's be real, it's not really mastering. It takes years to master something. I mean you can search master juggler on youtube right now and see dudes juggling anything to razersharp swords, heavy as hell bowling balls and fragile eggs. Actually look up "Michael Davis Ford's Theater", he juggles for Reagan and it's fucking hilarious even today.

      That's pretty much me atm Ian, still haven't succeeded but am taking about a month and a half. I am autistic so like dyspraxia my fine motor skills aren't the best, it takes a lot for me to learn how to do skills that require very fine motor skills, tying notes, cutting things quickly for dinner, WRITING (oh my god, I share your pain so much there), and of course, juggling. I actually decided to take up juggling to have a daily exercise for my fine motor skills, I know I'll get there eventually.

      He's probably better at doing research than his wife. Remember for all that this is a straight comparison he still has more experience simply imitating the internet. I assume he found something along those lines on a website when he was trying to learn it himself.

    • @benjamincoram7036
      @benjamincoram7036 4 года назад +24

      @@lowkey_Ioki sure, but that was still him learning it. the fact that he stepped in and helped kind of skews the results of the experiment because Kim could've researched by herself the same way Mike did, but Mike didn't have someone to show him in person who could see what he needed to improve on

    • @jacobshirley3457
      @jacobshirley3457 4 года назад +32

      These are fair criticisms. However, realize the exact time doesn't matter due to the influence of luck, the number of days spent, her comfort in front of the camera, her probable inexperience in learning stuff quickly, knowing she has a time to beat (his), her motivations of doing this versus his reasons, etc. Then factor in how different the average human is.
      These things are still within a reasonable margin of error. The point of these videos isn't that you can learn how to juggle in 3 hours or 4 hours. It's to show how pure persistence, good training, and self-reflection can make the hardest tasks seem reachable.
      And also, he probably doesn't want his wife to struggle as much as he did (even though she probably did).

    • @cube2fox
      @cube2fox 4 года назад +3

      I think one factor could be that many people (both men and women) have a tendency to treat woman a bit like children, i.e. they don't want them to be challenged too heavily, so they often get additional help.

      As you get older and don't learn many new things, and only practice old things (because you get in to a cycle with school and then work) your neuroplasticity decreases. Thats why it become harder to learn new things and why children pick thing ups rather quickly.

    The tabled faro shuffle, riffle stacking, and the center deal are considered the most difficult sleights to master with a deck of cards. These sleights are used by only the most skilled of magicians and card mechanics after years of practice. I challenge you to learn one of them and make a video on it. I think that your end goal should be to sit at a card table with people who know that you are going to cheat, and fool them.
    (P.S. you will need to learn how to shuffle on a table first for all of these. Also don't overlook crimps, they are incredibly deceptive and useful with retaining the deck order. A good place to start would be on Theory 11 or the cheat by Richard Turner.)

    • @timah9420
      @timah9420 5 лет назад +1

      @@juszak5435 it is dealing cards the selected cards from the center of the deck after the deck has been cut. A cheat usually controls the cards they want for a hand to the bottom of the deck to deal either to themselves or an acomplace, while also dealing fairly to the other players. However, many games will cut the deck after the initial shuffle which displaces these cards. Most cheats will do what is nullifying the cut by means of shifting the selected cards to the bottom of the deck, holding out cards in their hand during the cut, or reversing the cut with what is called a pass. However, these moves can be very risky as with a pass a large packet of cards moves around the other quickly which can easily flash to other players at the table, and holding out cards can sometimes have angle issues as well and the hands are referred to as dirty meaning they have cards and don't look quite as normal or relaxed as usual, also the movements of the hand are quite reduced such as the cheat can not raise that hand for a waiter. The center deal was created to reduce the risk of nullifying the cut by just dealing what were once the bottom cards from the middle of the deck as if it were the bottom but still appearing to come from the top of the deck fairly.

      Bt8b can be easy to learn as well, try the tmack loop, it looks good and is still easy, but slightly harder them bt8b.

      pastor 8 ball is still hard trick for beginner bro it would be fine to learn it it would take some time to do

    • @sethm

      True, yet I think the tmack loop would be better, because it shows actual skill and not luck as bt8b could. It's really the same difficulty, just takes more time.
