Thanks for watching and taking part in this adventure along with me. In the future I will be tackling more projects that require traveling and locations of this caliber .I feel like its what Ive always wanted to do and some subject matters deserve a little extra time and effort . If you enjoyed this video please give it a thumbs up and a share on social media to spread the word. For those who'd like to go a step further and support with crowd funding to help put buffer the large costs of rental cars, flights and gas that can be done so at patreon.com/adamthewoo or by picking up a sweet T shirt at www.adamthewoo.spreadshirt.com . This was an undertaking I can say I am very proud of and hope you enjoy the finished product. +The Carpetbagger I feel like my life was somehow slightly inspired by Clark Griswold . Roadside attractions because something I wanted to see as a youth because of this film
Coincidentally, I too have been accused of being a Clark Griswold, but more of the Christmas Vacation version when it comes to my family life. Jacob, I am assuming you have a bit of that as well.
A classic & memorable movie. Although he had a short role in this movie I met and talked with John Candy while I was in Florida (spring break) visiting friends in April 1985. He was with Paramount filming the movie Summer Rental. The meeting occurred in St Pete Beach.
Shannon Yes it was. You often hear negative stories of big time celebrities that are rude ect. when out in public. You really can't blame them for some of their behaviors. It's gotta get old fast. John Candy on the other hand was very kind and courteous to me; and he was very appreciative of the status he made as an actor. In most of the roles you see him act in he was exactly like that in person, no acting however, he was just being himself.
Agreed, I live close to cousin Eddies house and never knew that was the house every time I go to Pueblo, I can see house off of highway and think of one of my favorite childhood movies
Absolutely.... YT should pay the man for traveling expanses at least ;) GREAT WORK.... Now I feel so nostalgic!! Feels great. Actually, I think I m gonna roll a joint right now at watch THE movie. Thank you so much for this adamthewoo
The whole family jumped out of our seats when the notification popped up! Breakfast bacon stopped frying, the bread in the toaster sat cold, and everyone rushed the TV. Take heed, Adam did not disappoint! Not only does it seem like a visit from an old friend, but the amount of work, ingenuity, and talent shines clear. Spectacular! ATW fans for life.
Adam I think this is one of your greatest videos ever, the time and research that you put into this were amazing. Thanks for doing what you do, much respect.
Hey there, stranger!! It’s a pleasure having another video from you. Especially one like this!! Thanks for this lovely experience of one of my favorite movies. ❤️ I loved your truckster!!
Adam, I just have to tell you- I have never watched any RUclips video more than once before this one. I've now watched this three times since you uploaded it yesterday. I can not even begin to imagine the amount of hours you put in to researching and planning for this video. Your attention to detail and obvious love for the filming process does not go unnoticed or unappreciated. Thank you- thank you for sharing your adventures with all of us! I hope you will be using the new theme song moving forward!
I've stayed at Riverbind Resort many time. We were actually watching the movie on a ski trip and were AT Riverbind when we were like "wait a second!?!?! That's here!
Looks like Christmas came a little early for you Jay. I scrolled to see your comment, and I was hoping Adam would have responded to you, being that you are one of his biggest fans. Jesus he gets a lot of comments though! How can anybody respond to them all, or even a fraction of them? I haven't watched this entire video yet, but I'll watch it in a few parts when I get time. Hope you are well Jay. Take care, sir.
I worked at a theatre when this film came out. It was a surprise hit. We could hear the opening credit song and frequently sang along with it. Crowds love it. Thanks for the trip back.
I'm five years late but this was so well done, I didn't know until the end. This was awesome! Great to see one of my favorite movies come to life! Thank you for all of the time and effort put into this!
It’s crazy how almost 40 years has passed and damn near nothing changed. Including the color of cousin Eddys house. The sand mounds that look like mountains blew my mind. Amazing vid.

At 16:38 it shows where I used to work cleaning rooms. I remember when I got hired the owners mentioned that was one of the filming locations for this movie. I was told it took about 10 days to film that scene in Pueblo, CO.
As a fan of all the Vacation movies this was awesome to see, the then and now shots side by side really helped. Thanks for sharing and taking the time to visit and put this together.

Why don't you ever wear station wagon suspenders?
They should rename the street where the Griswolds live “Holiday Road”
And you should get counseling
@@BAKER22-l4u I’m sure you have plenty of therapist you can recommend
