It’s crazy how much time and money you put into these videos. I have never seen any RUclips video like this. You’re so underrated!
Here in Denmark he is pretty big
He doesn’t even earn money off this video I believe
@@willikins5095 never heard off, here in Sweden. :)
But great video!
Yeah!
Enig
I am 42 years of age, I have never in my life seen a video like this on RUclips, thanks a ton for making me re-live those moments of Jurassic Park, I am an avid fan of this movie.
come to hawaii!
Im 33, and there are loads of videos like this on youtube
@@LordMarlle Like who? Nothing this detailed.
what's your age have to do with anything
Lot of cynical replies to the original comment. I will take the opposite approach. I too was amazed and loved this video. This was such a huge part of my childhood. I was obsessed with this film. Hard to believe that it's been 30 years! I wish they would re-release it in theaters for the 30th anniversary so I could take my son to see it!
When you don't even feel the video is 35 minutes long that means you are really enjoying it! Great work!!
And this movie is a classic for the ages
As a big Jurassic park fan, I can’t tell you how much this video means for me. Hats off to you.❤❤
This is by far the best Jurassic Park film locations video I’ve ever seen. Great work with this video thank you for putting so much time and effort into it!
Thank you. I love your channel too by the way!
same. i am a filmmaker about to shoot my first feature soon and just stumbled on this video thinking it will be like the usual location tour but this is very creative, well edited and shot. Jurassic Park means a lot to me. If i come into good money I'm buying a house on Kauai.
Filthy locations 😂😂
Came to post this, I’ve always looked up locations over the years and the documentation and staging has always been poor. The comparisons and tracking were AMAZING, I’ve never seen the trex paddock before. Fantastic work, look forward to more.
Ps I was saddened to find some other videos in non English, your English is great 👍
@@NikiTopgaardMovietalk Now can you do it for the Transformers movies? Mainly the first Bay film and Bumblebee?
Your attention to detail, the amount of planning, and the props you bring does not go unappreciated. This is high quality content.
Thank you!
Not to mention the price tag on all of this 🥵
Man this place has some charm and mystery about it. It almost feels like your visiting the island with real dinosaurs roaming around!
Just been to Kaua'i and Maui islands and the beauty there is just astounding. You are awestruck and delighted at the same time.
Here we see why 90s movies and older were just so much better...
They would film ALL those scenes now in ONE LOCATION in a studio and CGI everything...
I'm wondering how they originally found those locations!? Wow.
Amazing you are able to do these travels. Very jealous.
I'm also very impressed at your props and exact movie recreations. Superb professional quality work here.
Agreed! This movie will hold up a lot better than movies made 10-20 years after that put just as much money into CG, we're getting to the point now with movies like Avatar 2 that the CG is so believable but I don't think it can ever beat filming on location just for the fact that the actors have something real to act against
Yeah, very beautiful locations especially the ones in the Hawaiian archipelago, they also blend naturally as that's how they look and don't need any "makeup" to make them stand out in any way. But when there's only just one movie location everything changes, they need to make good use of the special effects as they're still expensive, at least for a blockbuster movie, so everything they put in there is used to catch your eye in some way, be it some weird scenery, the Hollywood favorite a.k.a. explosions, an easter egg or a reference to something else inside the movie. They don't blend naturally, because if you watch them for long enough you know they aren't natural and so they put something to distract you from that fact or make the whole set the point of distraction.
I love how you synchronice the scenes from the movie with your own footage to see just how much is changed.
The fact that you guys actually went to these locations and recreated the enviroment camera shots is huge dedication and enormously respectable! Thank you so much for the amazing effort, this video was pure joy to watch! ❤
Wow flot 🎉
This is one of the best RUclips vids I've ever seen. The effort to go to each location and even recreate the same shots. Bravo
What an incredible work of art! The split-screen shots just blew me away. Niki deserves a THUMBS UP, and a new subscriber...and I did.
Wow. This man spent over $6,000 Euros to come to the United States (Hawaii & California) on Holiday, and visited almost every single shooting location. This is by far the most thorough location video for JP I’ve seen. Imagine the impact this movie made on this little lad in 1993. Now *THAT’S* that magic of the movies.
It's amazing how much nature changes in 30 years, especially in a rainforest! It's also amazing that the crew went through that much trouble to film this! Old movies truly were superior!
This is definitely the best EVER video of filming locations that I have ever seen! The amount of searching, time, editing and scene angles care (and dollars expended too😆) to make this half-hour free video on YT is a really rare effort! Congrats, Niki, from Brasília, Brazil!
Spared no expense
Man, before I started watching the video, I thought "it's a long video, I'm sure I'll skip or fast forward through some parts". How wrong was I, I loved it from start to finish. As a fan of the movie, it's not just amazing to see the behind-the-scenes location aspect of the film but how much work you've put into it. From showing us the geographical references, to taking us back and forth, to taking props and simulate some of the scenes and the shot comparison which is a work on art on itself (not only you had to match the angles but the lens or focal length used in the movie so the background and foreground appears in the same proportion). Loved every single minute of this video. And BTW, I love and enjoy everything "behind the scenes on filmaking" but talking about locations, I'm always looking them up, seeing what I can recognize and I've been known to take my family around on a trip, when visiting another city or country, to go to the exact location where they shot some movie... and take the obligatory picture, of course hahahhaa.
He even showed the WB and Universal studios where scenes were shot, that's some dedication!
These movie location videos are of such high quality, thanks for the good content!
I'm amazed by how accurate camera angles and shots are compared. A true Jurassic Park fan! I really enjoyed the video.
Thanks for showing all of these! Amazes how remote some of it was. That helicopter tour looks like it was worth every dollar! Thank you for sharing this journey!
you have to appreciate the absolute details and effort put into this video
This is probably one of the most expensive vlog/video I saw on RUclips. Niki, you deserve more subscribers and views! 👏 More people should see these amazing videos you have. I'm a fan of the movies you featured, and seeing their filming locations are just incredible to watch. Thank you so much for doing this!! ❤
Pretty sure Mr. Beast spends multiples times the budget used for this vlog in one of his videos, but the content is lacking hundreds of times over.
This video is so well researched in terms of content, not to mention travel research, accomodation, flights, maybe even permits.
I grew up in Hawaii and being a huge jurassic park fan as a kid, it was always heartwarming to be able to visit the ranch whenever my family felt like taking me. Been there at least 7 times in my life, each time was always a nostalgia trip seeing those locations that I watched through a screen but with my own eyes, even touching some of the scenery I could recognize from the films. Truly a blessing.
I was also fortunate enough to be able to ride the super ferry from Oahu to Maui when it was still in service, the route it took went right past "Jurassic rock" and we were less than two miles from it, it really felt like we were arriving at Jurassic Park, being 10 at the time, this was mindblowing. Wish I still had the photos but this was pre everyone having smartphones.
Wow what a cool experience
You are very lucky to live that, I live in Argentina and clearly it is impossible for me to visit these places that bring me so much nostalgia and memories as a child. That feeling you felt when you passed in front of the Jurassic rock, feeling like you were going to the park, it must have been something unique
That's so nice, why did they stop doing the ferry ride?
Growing up in Hawaii was a win .I’m a graduate of the U.of Hawaii- Manoa!
Great video. It made me appreciate how much work the 'location scouts' went to to find these amazing spots to film. I could only imagine how hard it would have been to move an entire film crew to these remote locations to shoot. I just met Sam Neil the other day at a book signing, that was my interaction with the Jurassic Park movie.
people who buy property that was know for movies and prohibit anyone from going near is biggest middle finger by a human.
Seeing the waterfall where the helicopters landed actually brougth a tear to my eye 🙈Loved the part where you added the T-rex paddock fence 😂 A trip like this would be a childhood dream come through!❤️
The amount of effort and money you put into making one of the most comprehensive videos on JP is incredible. Thank you.
Last February, my company sent me to Oahu to work for a week. A week became two so I asked if they would fly my wife over which they did. She was only able to stay 2 days but they were two of the most enjoyable days we have had together in our 28 year marriage. We took the Jurassic adventure tour at Kualoa ranch and it was a lot of fun.
You should've received academy award for relocating all Jurassic park movie scenes,,📽️
Great effort and well done 👍
Finally a new video, Missed this channel so much. Very glad you are back Niki👍 I cant even imagine how much effort goes into these videos and thats why you dont upload much. You really deserve a bigger audience😀

No other film has amazed me so much as a child.. Jurassic Park ❤️
"Dodgson, we've got Dodgson here!" Best movie. Ever.
Well done Sir. You clearly spared no expense. A video enjoyed by many. Thank you.
Thats by far the best Jurassic Park Location Movie. I'm just fascinated. Great work. That must be an unbelievably awesome feeling to have been there live at the original locations. Definitely goosebumps. Thanks for this.
Discovered your channel today thanks to Reddit and I'm in love. Your thoughtfulness capturing the cinematography to compare shots, the well paced explanations about each location with interesting behind the scenes info, just everything is perfection. Finding your channel just reminds me that while RUclips is diluted these days there's absolute gems just waiting to be found.
Thank you! It means a lot.
Yes

It's so good to see these locations still exist just as they are captured on film minus the sets. Takes me back to being five when I first saw this movie in the cinema with mum and dad both of whom have passed on. Thank you so much superb work ♥️♥️
Appreciate your PATIENCE and PASSION to do this VDO Bro...
This was by far the best Jurassic Park filming location videos I’ve seen. Very comprehensive and professional. Thank you!
As a life long JP fan, this was a fantastic film to watch! Very enjoyable and extremely well done! Thanks so much for making it!
You are an absolute legend for doing this. As a big fan, I really enjoyed the care and detail you put into this and all the frame for frame comparisons. Thank you for sharing this with all of us!
I really appreciate how you move with the scene. Not acting it out, but just for reference.
It's crazy six years later and thanks to this video I discovered that we were also at the T-rex paddock location! We did the hike to see the gates and continued down the path for a while because we were curious. Fantastic job, thank you so much!!
Can really see just how much was done to create the movie. Jurassic Park construction workers were Amazing. So many cool features were built out in the wildnerness to make this movie come to life.
This video is AMAZING! The time, dedication, and attention to detail, was AWESOME. If ur not in the movie business, you should be. THANK YOU, for this...
My 4th grade teacher took the top 4 students in class to go see this. I remember being on the edge of my seat in the theater the entire time. I was obsessed after seeing the movie. Everything in my room became jurassic park. Everything was dinosaurs. Still very into it today. Movies from the 90s were so good. Really liked the movie clear and present danger.
I went out with my family to see Jurassic Park in theaters back when it released in 1993. I can't believe that was 30 years ago already. It's crazy how fast time goes by.
I know! 30 years ago was the 1970's, damnit!
I worked at my local cinema when it was released in 1993...Was insane, lines around the block.
Went to see it with my siblings and a friend and we were about 10 people in the theatre because when it was released we were on vacation, gladly no one spolied it for us!
Wow holy snaps, so many hours of watching the movie, traveling/scouting locations, then to put everything into one video. MAJOR PROPS. I hope a lot of people see this!
This is criminally underrated. This quality is insane and I’m mad I’m just finding out about this now
The side-by-side shots are amazing. I wish more filming-location videos did this. They’re great comparisons
Seriously, what is better then visiting all the locations AND the Universal Studios? That must have been the coolest trip ever. And also a really hard challange, but... Life finds a way... I guess
The Jurassic Park triology is the best movies ever made! So glad to see that you made a movie location video to them...
These filming location are stunning! And we gotta admit it, We always wanted to be apart of the film. it was just too good
I have seen tons of filming location videos over the years, but this is one of the best, most comprehensive I have ever had the pleasure to watch. Excellent work!
It's amazing how so much of nature stays the same when untouched, even after 25+ years.
The sad thing about this is that none of the movie or even this video do justice to just how beautiful Kauai is in person. The Heli ride is not cheap, but it is 100% worth it!
I'm blown away by your commitment to finding all of these locations. This video was so well done 👍 🦕🦖 🚁
Like everyone else has said already lol, massive props to the time, money, effort and dedication this video took. JP came out when I was just 7. This and the Lion King (back when Disney still made good stuff) are amongst my favorite movie theater memories. So seeing all of this again was really a thrill. So thank you 👍🏼👍🏼
I live on Kauai and worked for NTBG. You definitely did your research, and I appreciate that you didn't totally butcher the Hawaiian names like many other youtubers. I wasn't here for filming, but heard many stories over the years. Loved the book and movie as a kid and somehow ended up living here...
you are very lucky to live in a place as beautiful and legendary as this one. Greetings from the other side of the world, Argentina🙌
@@lukzz26 Definitely lucky to live on Kauai, but Argentina is beautiful as well, and not that far away. I hope to make it to Patagonia some day
I like how he got his assistant to check the depth of water before he drove though it 😅 she didn’t look happy about it either 😅
This channel is such a treasure. I can't believe how much effort you guys put in. Thank you Niki! 06/19/2023
Revisiting. I still love Niki. 05/01/2024
Amazing!!! No words can describe the feeling of joy watching the locations of Jurassic park. The love for this movie is insatiable.
An O-U-T-S-T-A-N-D-I-N-G video to say the least. Jurassic Park is one of my favourite films since childhood and I always craved for a video which would take me through the filming locations and today my prayers are finally answered!!!!!
Thank you @Niki Topgaard Movietalk from the core of my heart for your sincere efforts.
Thank you so much for this video, it must have been an incredible amount of work to complete, but the result is amazing. I love the quirky little middle scenes with the water glas and the road sign. I love that you matched up the camera to the scenes in the film so you could see that you actually found the locations. I love the pacing and the story telling. Simply wonderful work!
can someone please help me understand why this video doesn't have 100 million views? This dude spent a small fortune bringing us every scene from one of the greatest movies in history and I'm seriously considering contributing real money for what I just saw.
I am a huge movie location guy and often take people to see movie locations in LA. I've never seen anyone put in the time and effort as you do. Thank you so much
This absolutely my favorite Jurassic Park "Filming location" video ever. I don't think i ever came across any video that covered all locations in details like you did. It was amazing to watch and i felt like i was on an actual journey. Thank you so much for sharing! great content! keep it up.
These films are really great. I think it's great that people like you take such loving care of their fan topics. The 80's and 90's were the best years. Thank you for this great video.
Saving this for a behind the scenes kind of thing to show my kids when they grow up :D
*Childhood Memories Refreshed* ❤️❤️❤️🥂👑
You put a lot of effort into this video and it really shows. Awesome work!
Your attention to detail is second to none. This is the first time I haven't fast forwarded through a video like this because I didn't want to miss anything. All the props you put together make it that much better. Keep up the great work!
Watched this twice now over a period of 12 months, absolutely love the time effort and money you have put into this ,thank you 👍
Thank you for doing this video & showing us all these beautiful locations! I also love the Jurassic Park & Jurassic World movies. I'm from the UK.
This is over the top quality content. Can't imagine the energy, time and effort You put in to make this video. Its just insane! Im glad i found this!:)
i almost forgot about this channel! good thing there is a new video
i gotta say the amount of research and dedication to show us the many filming location deserves more views
I believe that is the most beautiful set of filming locations for any movie I've ever seen.

Greatest video for Jurassic park 1993....

Greatest. Video. Ever. Sat down with a bowl of noodles, a great watch for JP fans.
Iconic, Nostalgic, Epic........ a few words that don't even come close to justice for this production.
BRB, setting up my dream vacation itinerary.
This video is extremely thorough and your attention to detail is very impressive. The music and clips from the video were very well matched. Great work. I just hope you didn't get pulled over for those license plates on the jeep!
Thank you! I only put on the plates when we were filming. And I don't think I saw a cop once on the island.

This was so excellent to watch! I’ve seen many Jurassic filming location videos, and this one is the very best. I was 20 years old when Jurassic Park was released in 1993. I was watching the movie all of that summer. Then in August 1993 I went to a conference on the making of the movie, and got to visit many of the same locations and also took a helicopter tour. I saw the T-Rex paddock area from the air, and took a picture and compared it to your current drone shot. It still looks similar but much more growth now lol. We also flew over the spot at Wiamea Canyon where they built the fence that they climb over. I loved watching this so much. Great job and thanks for posting! Jurassic Park still holds up, and is still one of my favorite movies.
My face hurts from smiling. Thank you!
This may be one of the best RUclips videos of all time.
The single piece of media, that I have been longing for the most my entire life. Thank you for your great work, Niki! I hope to see much more from you.
