This is a really cool game (if you can call it that) for a man who doesn't know how to make a game and doesn't have the benefits of a full-time game developer from a company like EA or Activision.
Well there is a difference between making an experience like the project seen here and a full game, there would still have to be a whole lot added to make it into more than just a walking simulator with some Jurassic Park flavoring.
@@TheMultiversalDip True however, the points I've made are is, two months, limtied money, lack of expirence, and not being paid to full time to make the game but still it was a huge feat.
there is no gameplay loop here... it looks nice but there isn't much of a game
"decent" decent for 2 months yeah but more of an experience then a game

@@160sharp I have a HEAVY feeling it will be another linear game. Less like this and more like the final release of Trespasser. Trespasser was supposed to be a survival open-world game too, then got crunched down to big one-way levels.

Lack of gameplay footage at all and just trailers/ CGI animation has me worried. Anything that might be gameplay looks like a linear sequence; walking down a hallway or doing what looks like a QuickTime event to escape a raptor onto a platform. No open-world interactions, scouring giant forests or landscapes, it's all absent.

My God! I have no words to express how I feel watching this video. Dude, you are literally making my dream come true and that of many Jurassic Park fans. The most I managed to do was create modifications for the game Carnivores 2. But what you are doing is IMPOSSIBLE! Your commitment to the fidelity of the original film is perfect! Universall should hire and pay you a fortune for having a project like this that would literally save the JP game franchise from failure, it's revolting that we've never really had a decent open-world, exploratory FPS game. Count on my support to publicize if you manage to publish this complete project, congratulations!

Hey there! I created the map shown in 0:56 a few months ago. It's not fully accurate to the movie or the novel, yes, as it's meant for a project me and a few friends are working on, which is rewriting the novel. I mixed the known movie layout w/ the novel + some original stuff (megaraptor and allosaurus enclosures, etc) to end up with that layout.

Indie developer here. I think what you can do about the movement, is to blend the bones so that only the head moves towards the player and not the entire body. Hope this helps. Would to have Universal license this game for you!

The way you talked about making the island and the game would have been the same way that I would have done it. Congrats on an awesome game. Putting the map over it in game and then building over it makes total sense.
You could have milked this game out with some development videos on the process, and even a video that’s nothing but a drive through the game. You could have even made a separate channel and I would have watched the crap out of that.
So basically, you spared no expense making Jurassic Park.
Your PC cannot match the sheer power of that game.

Best thumbnails in your channel and the most I loved were the Avatar one and the Godzilla animation. They seem really professional with the colour grading and eye catchy look. I just watched Jurassic Park again a few days ago, and for the hundredth, I pointed out the T.Rex moat inconsistencies. Only my brother and older sister got what I was saying. I had to grab a whiteboard and marker to draw the dang thing out, and finally, that got it.
thats so cool, if you add the turning animations and maybe more attack animations and maybe even jumping for the raptors i think this could become a bestseller
This was a great new thing for you to try! I never thought you’d be the kind of guy to want to make a video game. I don’t know if your next video is gonna be a size comparison, but if it is, evolution of Mothra please! Other video suggestions include a Rodan size comparison, a King Kong monsters video, a Pacific Rim size comparison, and an evolution of the Kraken in movies and TV video. I know I keep asking for that one, but at least consider it.
