We've investigated ourselves and decided we did nothing wrong.
You'd think the Mayor and the Town Council would have the ability to investigate law enforcement agencies under their jurisdiction but sadly this is never the case in the US. I imagine, if I was ever elected to a city council or elected to Mayor of a city, what would I know about my city's police department? Very little except what the police department chooses to tell me. 99% of the time, it's such an imbalance of knowledge and power, the police department usually has de facto control of a city where they are involved unfortunately. I hope we can change this, perhaps with intensive civic classes for our kids but who knows?
Of course it's a cover-up-- nobody ever takes responsibility for their wrongdoings. That's society today. Shameful.
That's a really nihilistic mindset. There are plenty of good ppl out there that do, unfortunately cops like these are a bad example, too many cops like this out there.

Epileptic here: I also suffer from grand mal seizures. Thankfully, the first time I had one out of my apartment paramedics arrived and not police. They told me I kept taking the oxygen mask off. I was combative post-seizure but I’m not like that at all normally. I’ve never even been in a fight. I certainly don’t remember the incident. What I know is what my girlfriend at the time told me.
That is the worst time to have a grand mal seizure.😂🤣🤣🤦♂️
Do you wear a medical tag? I think a lot of this could have been avoided with a medical braclet. It terrible, the worst part is someone smashing your window and the cops never come but a dude in a medical emergency they show up and taze him.

@@adonespitogonaif i know he must have known there was something medical hence the cpr question but we does not look like she ever claimed hos heart stopped, but it was not clear what else was going on and clearly she keeps telling tbe cop he is unconscious even after the keeps telling he is not so im saying there is breakdown in communication which usually leads to problems

Police are so militarized and seem to be trained to perceive the public as the enemy that their first reaction is to use force instead of investigating and acting accordingly. It's sad to say but he was lucky he wasn't injured much more severely as the police were protecting and serving him.

To be fair, if you watch the whole video on Lackluster, the cop grabs a medical aid bag from his car before he goes in, and as he approaches them he asks her if she had done CPR. He knew it was a medical emergency of some kind. He is just a terrible cop.

Craziest part is that he was arrested, charged, & cuffed at the hospital AFTER the doctor diagnosed the entire event as a seizure, & then prosecutor also slapped a domestic violence charge on him to for falling on his fiance during the seizure.... Real upstanding law enforcement & prosecutor there, top notch protecting the rights of citizens. 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️

As I understand it, Mr Frankel was taken direct to lockup from the hospital in his hospital gown where he was booked, and released still in his hospital gown. Because of his seizure he couldn't remember his fiance's phone number , he had to walk MILES to a gas station STILL in the hospital gown to hail a taxi. "Protect and serve?"....yeah right.

A Grande mal seizure can be incredibly dangerous, people can die from them, he needed medical help during and after the seizure. The police (And of course the man) are very lucky that didn't happen. I hope he gets justice from these incompetent idiots.

They need to look into who dispatched the call. Now that person needs to get fired. Dispatch obviously decided to send patrol. If patrol showed up knowing EMT was supposed to, and those officers took into their own hands, then unbelievable. I’ve had seizures before and was completely confused on what happened, what’s going on, where am I. So this is so disturbing. For the Marin police department to be so confident in their officers choice of actions is disturbing.

Confirmation bias can govern whether interviewees are judged credible, allegations are considered banter, or something more sinister. Just so you know - only an independent investigation outside any sphere of influence can provide a clean and unbiased finding.

That's why Fire is better as 1st on-scene. Most of them become paramedics before they're hired by fire departments, which have very competitive hiring. The Police are desperate for bodies in their academies & let unqualified people w/ ulterior motives graduate. When they mess up & get let go, they just move & get hired elsewhere [not unlike sketchy priests merely being re-assigned parishes].

Cops show up to everything… my grandmother had a stroke this past Christmas and the first person on scene was a cop, we didn’t let him in the house and it rubbed him the wrong way. Luckily the ambulance and fire dept was right behind him.

Its been 5 days since your comment and the following facts have come to light. The police tased a man having a seizure that they accused of being drunk and once they found out he did infact have a seizure they initiated a cover up and started questioning the man in a severely compromised state in the hospital to get him to go along with whatever bullshit story they were concocting.

They played it on another channel she needed medical help for her husband he was gasping for air. The police somehow arrived with a first aid kit and during the whole time EMTs didn't enter.
