For those curious, this car ended up selling for $88,000 at auction. Not exactly what the seller expected.

It ended up selling for $88k at auction, so after the auction fees, the seller walked away with roughly $60-$70k. So as a pawn shop owner, Rick’s offer was fair from an investment stand point.
It’s so funny how the owner said he couldn’t take any less than $200K yet he takes $88K at auction. Funny what people say when they think they’ll be famous on TV

This car sold at Barrett-Jackson in 2014 for $88,000. So the seller probably got about $60,000 after fees.

The dude that was trying to sell this wanted 200k. He ended up selling it at auction for 88k and after fees probably got 75k. Rick's offer was not unreasonable because this guy also had to transport it to the auction. The car had lots of issues. The buyer did an EV conversion on it and had the RR guts replaced with a Tesla S EV drive train.

If anyone is wondering, this car sold at auction for $88,000 in 2014. Season 8 aired in late 2013. With the hassle and the auction fees, the seller might have been better off taking the $50k.

Oh by the way, this Johnny Cash car actually made it to an auction in New York and almost got sold for 105,000 dollars. The seller then backed out and paid twice the auction fee for nothing. The car then finally sold for 80,000 dollars at a Barett Jackson's auction. I think he would've got around 64,000 dollars after the deductions. HUGE loss.

Ouch! With the premium to the auction house, he didn't make the killing on the car he was hoping to. It's not like some Saudi prince owned it and the dashboard was studded with diamonds. $350K was pie in the sky.
