Can I please have a 1918 Buick
@@MrBreastGiveMeMoney bruh
@@brendankraus3514 it’s a joke
When you start them warm you turn them over first the apply the choke if it doesn't go...and thats all while the starter is turning it over
I have some good stone collection with 12% hardness even in lab they are unable to find wt type of stone and wt is the value of it..
If the old man offered $17.5k for that, you know he's keeping it for himself
Most definitely, then Rick is gonna argue with him lmao
At least old man didn’t give dude a I’m exhausted from climbing these stairs face and straight up gave him a offer instead of 5 million in labor and framing fees
R.i.p
You spoiled it for me
Thanks for being that person that gives away the video before I even watch it all...
Customer: Drives in no problem. Starts it up for Danny no problem.
Danny: Floods it. "Hey, it's not my fault!"
I know right 🤣🤣😂😂
Meanwhile he pumped the gas quite a bit! Lol
@@duckingcensorship1037 i did not notice that
Oh yes it is !
@@duckingcensorship1037 It has no accelerator pump
"Let me call my buddy who is an expert on flooding engines."
Calls up God: "send Noah, cheers".
It appears that "expert" intentionally flooded the engine by pulling the choke on warm engine! He knew that those old engines flood easily, and that is exactly what he did, to reduce walue of the car by making it seem like engine is not that good, it was the bagaining chip!
@@fikaa2388 yup.
@@fikaa2388 It's all fake. Danny is a paid actor and is not a car guy in real life.
Ye how he get it there lol.
Old Man might be a tough negotiator but he sure is fair.
That's why he's the best from the cast
Yeah, here he paid 'retail'.
He wanted this ride.
Agreed. Well done Old Man!!
@@mikeymonty The car needs work and is going to be a total headache. So $17,500 was a good deal considering they need to fix the whole car.
@@JizMafia True cost after restoration, $27,500+.
Any video with the Old Man is a good video
Rest easy old man
You got that right 👍👍👍👍👍👍
He was a great part of the pawn shop.
Always
How to bring down the price on an antique car: Pump the gas pedal a few times and flood the engine.
that's exactly what I was about to bring up! thank you!
It has no accelerator pump
@Abcde There is control for the amount of fuel the driver allows into the engine. You wouldn't be able to drive the car without that. Also, you can see Danny pumping the gas pedal at 4:55. You should try to find something better to do with your time besides being an internet troll. You are not very good at this.
He pulled the choke out
@@mexcanfun4498 the choke doesn't pull out on this car. You turn the knob to the left that's the choke on you turn the knob to the right that's the choke off
I swear that guy probably showers with that bandana on.
His hair and glasses are attached to it
He cant except his balding front bumperhead. If he is so insecure he should hit the hair transplant studio...
Because they are so rare, Rick will give you $100 for a picture of Danny without his bandana and not a penny more because he'll have to get it framed and he's taking all the risk.
he is self conscience about his receding hairline, that is the reason for the bandana.
ya im sure
Corey: "Who has a car that they only drive on Sunday?"
Also Corey all the time: "I want this car for my private collection"
he's more of a bike collector though
Probably Jay Leno and Jerry Seinfeld.
Ya, that would be like someone saying to him "Who needs more than one bike? You can only ride one at a time."
That little smile when the old man gets the deal done. Priceless.
Just once, I'd wish a customer comes in with their own expert/mechanic. And I want to see them hash it out... That would be good tv.
It would be interesting to see, but my guess is that Rick would go with what his guy says vs what the customer's guy says.
@@wallypalmer4704 because it is the right move. Customer could bring in anyone to say anythign they want. Customer could cut a deal with the person for a percentage.
The point is they Know and Trust the experts they bring in..some rando they never heard of?? I think Not these Guys all have reputations they have to protect they aren't going to mess with that.
And bring his own money
@@sarahwallace1103 So could Rick 🤣🤣🤣 he could easily have them appraise below current market value or what it could fetch at auction
The owner started it without issue and the car guy flooded the engine to bring down the price.
BRILLIANT move!
No they took the gas out the producers that's how scripted the show is the car probley already belong to the old man or Danny the car guy ,they bring in actors
@@rubbingisracing6951 I bet you actually went to Area 51 even though it was a joke
@nymphesis7819 I don't even know how to respond I guess you got butthurt?
Another theory could be that the car guy didn't know how to properly drive the car or wasn't confident enough to do a test drive in it.
go to a resturant hey i ordered a burger. well i got you a steak. thats where im at with your meal
The Old Man was a cool dude. Sweet cat. Was fun to watch. Great video
RIP old man, hopefully he got to really enjoy this baby.
Danny pulls the choke out after it had already been started. All on purpose
The Old Man with yet another masterclass performance on how to haggle.
I'm very surprised the old man offered that much. That's a good price. Old men must really love that car
You have to appreciate the episodes that still have the oldman in them. Rip😔
That's the old man's ride. He's keeping it.
Yeah Cory : You need to have a little more appreciation learning from the Old Man!!
Rest In Peace 'Old Man 😇
I miss the old man! RIP

Luv the old man, full of old fashioned class...RIP sir
That is a beautiful car

@@dripmt8416 lol
He drove it there a few minutes ago and the owner just started it. All he had to do is hit the starter and not bother choking it like a cold engine. Yes it's Danny's fault, he flooded the engine.
I exactly. Yes old cars flood easily but if you know what you’re doing it is not an issue like the owner, he can drive it and start it first crank

The Old Man thinks that anything that’s old is automatically better in every way. That’s why he’s so great to see him every once in a while. Thanks Pawn Stars.
That old guy sure got experience that's for shore.

On the old days owning this car would be equal to owning a ur own train/plane on the modern day
Not quite a train. Maybe a small 2 seater plane at best. But that's it.

Surprisingly, those old Buicks actually sell relatively cheap. With the need for paint restoration 17.5K is a reasonable price.
Rick: I have to get the car framed. Best I can do is $0.32 and I'm taking a big risk here.
Too overused man.... Move on to the next joke
Miss the old man, he was such a caracter 😔
I love how the old man just doesn't care about the seller's name and simply calls him "guy" at 6:49 hahah
For the gear heads out there, how cool is that you can SEE the valve springs. That motor is beautiful.
I love it when the old man "Negotiates" 😅
"These old cars just flood, I can't help it." Go back a few seconds to see Danny mashing on the gas and flooding it. Probably so they *can't* drive it and drive down the price.
"Paint issues"
Is anyone really surprised the Old Man offered $17,500?? That’s awfully high for the shop!
He's a sucker for things that makes him feel young
Not really because look at this way he bought for 17.5 and he’s putting in 10-12k to restore it all together that’s 30k spent and once it’s restored he Can sell it for 50-60k so that’s good business

Old man was the best negotiator of them all!
Danny would put goofy looking 70s flames on it
Or horns.
I’ve seen a lot of Old Mans clips he’s always been tough but the man didn’t ever try to be unfair like Rick is most of the time
*R.I.P Old Man*
Sometimes its nice to leave well enough alone. The Buick is gorgeous, as is . . . original.
That dude didn't even attempt to start it on purpose, he just wanted to bring the value down.
3:55 "Can we hear it run?" Then they play background music over the sound of the engine.
Lol
Danny is such a gentleman, calling the old man sir everytime
I love the old man he just wides his way through the minutiae and just puts it how it is bless him
I had the privilege of meeting the old man before he passed when I went to the golde and silver in Vegas. He was in rough shape though, he was standing so extremely still I had first thought he was a statue.
If you take it to him it’ll cost you $10K to $12K to paint it. If you take it to a regular body shop your looking at about $5,000 to paint.
I would prefer Danny to do not just any old body shop on that old beauty of a car.
@@texasmonster1668 “Regular old body shops” do thousands of jobs a year. “Regular old body shop” workers can turn a crumpled panel into a smooth as glass panel with their eyes half closed while nursing a hangover. This guy does what, 14 jobs a year? You’ll get better results from a “regular old body shop” than you will from this guy. You want the vehicle restored. Not completely customized. You don’t take your truck to an engine builder to get new brake pads on the front and an oil change.
Of all the Pawn Stars people the old man oozes the maximum class. tough but fair
What a beauty!!! Restored it will probably bring over $60, 000!
Why don't they ever have shows where they sell something they bought, so we can see how much of a markup they put on something. and how long it took them to sell it ???
cuz we would know how much the experts lowball these people then vs how much it was actually worth xD
because the Pawn Stars only buy items when they are doing the show. Otherwise, they don't actually work. When fans come to the shop they can't meet them unless they doing the show
actually you can see some of their sell prices when they go to auctions, not many but some
@@kemico1272 They also have a website and ebay account. So you can see how much markup they charge there.
That’s a nice car! I would totally buy it.
Count custom guy is always repeating the thing *they call me whenever they have wheels and engine*😂
Corey: who has a car they only drive on Sunday?
Old man: people with money 💰
Very beautiful old vintage car.
No lowballing there .I love the old Man.RIP.👍
40 years from now Corey will be saying to his grandkids, back in the day son,,, this Buick was a classic,,, it was Grandpa,. Didn’t have much value then for me,,,but now it does....RIP OLD MAN❤️😞🙏🇺🇸
Danny doesn't seem like the "expert" to call to evaluate or appraise this particular vehicle.
Danny's always high (in more ways than one) on his "how much it takes to restore" estimates.
That's what I thought! Granted, I don't know about old cars, but a nice paint job on a modern car is about a grand...tops.
I don't know too much about old cars but I think when he tried to start it you can see he pulled out the nob which could be the choke, but because there's already fuel flowing through the engine, pulling out the choke would've just added excess fuel into the engine causing it to flood.
Nice ride Mr Harrison super nice car . RIP GOD BLESS
Old Man = LEGEND
Judge: I sentence you to life in prison without parole.
Rick: Best I can do is 10 years.
Judge: Sir this is your sentence. There are no negotiations.

That guy Danny I would not refer to as an expert in antique cars. His distasteful modifications of what were once perfectly good cars is an indication of that. Maybe calling someone from a reputable automobile historical society would be better.
He does what his customers want.
@@Supervillain725 That may or may not be the case. What the question here is, how is he qualified to judge the value of collectible vehicles? I have never seen him even verify serial numbers and build code numbers to see if these are even genuine.
