@My Autism struggles i gotta agree, i think they should've kept Bjorn travelling than rather fighting a Civil war for 2 seasons, and saved the Sigurd conflict for later on, Hirst really did make some questionable writing decisions
Killing Sigurd was a mistake, he could've brought much more to the show. Season 4 was probably my favourite season because of Ragnar's sons. It was stupid to kill one off so soon, but they probably needed a meaningful death for the season finale.
Killing Sigurd was stupid, and he should’ve made the brothers work together, instead of fighting each other.
Same I hated the constant fighting between them in later seasons.

the guy that played Ivar should have won some awards for s4 and s5. everyone thought S5 would be awful with no ragnar but ivars excellence made it good.
I was hoping for this kind of partnership between Ubbe and Ivar. How Ubbe is the strongest fighter of Ragnar's sons (as he was in the stories) but Ivar is the man with the strategies. This way they would have complimented each other perfectly. It's sad that Season 5 tore them apart.

watching back these scenes now i feel like they should've kept Bjorn exploring after the Great Heathen Army attack, seeing Bjorn taking cities, raiding and fighting other kings would've been so good to watch and keeping Sigurd alive could've made for a better story to make a true enemy for Ivar, i wish the sons of Ragnar worked together longer

Not sure he was afraid. They all respected him as their big bro, who was there for them even if their mother broke his family, when Ragnar wasn't. In fact when you see them, you can almost tell Ivar, Bjorn and Ubbe have kind of father - son relationship. Ubbe respects and wants to bond with him, when Ivar wants to beat him, both of the extrems of what sons do to their father.

If she hadn't killed their mother, both the brothers would have still have worked together. Ivar wouldn't have killed Sigurd, due to him making a remark about their dead mother. And while they may have split apart, as they are still people, there wouldn't have been anything to create that divide. The problems in the latter seasons were due to Lagathea's selfish actions.

She definitely doesnt look younger than lets say 25 then theres time jump up to where bjorn grows from lets say 10 to 18 so she would be 33 then aslaug comes gets pregnant several times and ubbe is lets say 12 in season 4a cuz he seems older than bjorn season 1 makes lagertha 45 then next time jump to where ubbe is grown he looks like id say 20 22 makes lagertha around 55 where this scene takes place

He is patient like Odin and cunning like Loki, he is a god favoured and is waiting for the right moment to strike like how any smart person should have done it.
@@rainsunbow8668 Ivar will be loved by everyone in season 6. Read a great interview from the writer and he said "it will be impossible to not love Ivar next season. He has compassion and is completely reborn." I can't wait for the new season cause the writers really did him dirty last season. Season 5A he was amazing and in 5B that whole God complex made me want to puke. I was so disappointed cause Ivar the Boneless is my favorite television character of all time. Hope the rebirth is as great as the writer said it will be.
