I usually despise underwater levels but I actually enjoyed this one.
The escape sequence where Bakunawa aims it's laser cannon at you was really intense.
Funny how in most platformers water levels are the worst, but this one's only bad point was the amount of the Tiger Falls boss spread trough the level
The twist at the end of the level legitimately frightened me. You knew you were reaching the end, and the reveal trailer basically gave away the bakunawa WILL rise, and you knew lilac’s meeting with merga was going to go south, but you didnt know THIS was the stage ir was going to yake off
💙 the attention 2 detail of this stage with the various fish & other sea creatures in the background & the sounds of whales in the background make this a beautiful & fun water stage.
this stage is just wonderful
It wasn't until I got to this part that I realized just how long this game really is, sure I was close to the end but I still had many levels to go through after this one and I'm so glad it was a long experience, and I'm glad it was longer than the first one
Be lucky that Lilac is a Water Dragon so she's a skilled swimmer. If Sonic was at her place in this stage, he would have been toasted.
If sonic swim this underwater stage would be endless sonic drowned.mp3
If that's the case, there will be some air bubble locations for Sonic to survive.

@@HarmonyBunny They do swim. It's their lower air capacity compared to Lilac's Half-Dragon physiology. In contrast, Sonic doesn't know how to properly swim in his own adventures.

This game definitely has a lot of references from Megaman ZX games. This theme sounds exactly like Organic Line (Bio Lab stage from ZX Advent)

reminds me a lot of endless ocean blue world's soundtrack. everything an ocean level theme should be. a lot of games tend to make it more whimsical but the ocean is a dark and mysterious place.
Was this stages gimmick partly based on Ecco the Tides of Time by chance? It's like stuff like Sky Tide and Medusa Tube

This is starting 2 remind me of all those underwater stages of Capcom fighters, like with Omega Red from X-Men: Children of the Atom & Dr. Doom from Marvel Super Heros.

Worst Music??? It not the worst music, it very good for a Water Stage before the Final Stages.
i think nalao lake is deserving of both those titles. if we are counting the non stage mini levels, bakunawa chase is the worst level.
@@basilishot336I like Nalao Lake's music lol. The stage itself I'm not a fan of though because it centers on the mech gimmick
@@SsybaabysS i agree the mech ruined the stage. i no longer see NL as the games worst song but i still do not like it but i see why others would. it just isnt for me, sorry
