I just found out about the T3 a couple days ago and so this video is perfect timing. Originally I planned to get a T2 but I noticed so many new suppressors were hitting the market that I decided to wait, and I'm glad I did because there's so many great options out there now.
I have a problem, when I always think I have enough for 4 turbos they always come out with a new version and it causes me to wait to get them. I have yet to see a lot of people disappointed or regret their yhm purchases. I would love to see you talk about old traditional cups in a tube and how they can be updated to the modern world because I have a homie that can make cans and for 400$ total(can and stamp) its really interesting. no its not washers in a tube.
This is the full size Turbo T3, not the Turbo K as the title says. Would love to have seen comparison shots of the T2 and T3 as far as gas from the ejection port.
I’d love to see this comparison too. I received by T2 a few months before the T3 came out. Not sure if it’s worth purchasing a T3 for a different build vs just swapping my T2 over.
Even if it’s lower backpressure, you can still see the difference between suppressed and unsuppressed ejection port. It’s just crazy how the OSS/Hux helix and flow through designs take it down to near nothing.
I got my tax stamp back for an open box T2. $450 delivered from Capitol Armory. It was just too good of a deal to pass up especially since I wanted a dedicated 5.56 can for my 20 in A2 upper.
I'd prefer they give the option to ship with your choice of their mount. After swapping the mounts, this cost just as much as offering is from dead air smh
You do need to maintain a oss or huxworx can. Traditional designs you can probly just shoot till it does but I know the flow through cans are different. This can may require more cleaning than older versions....
Difference not worth buying a t3 if you already have a t2. If you want an actual good suppressor that reduces signature and reduces recoil, actually spend some money. Be ready to spend over 1 thousand dollars for a can so it’ll actually be worth having.
Polonium has more backpressure. Sounds good, though. I was at a suppressor event a bit back, and the GA Dual-lok 5 and Sci-Six sounded the best at ear.
Was getting gassed out by my Resonator on a 243 yesterday. Ive got a Turbo also and would recommend these as a great "starter" can. If gas is an issue save up and get a Huxwrx. (or whatever there name is today) Love my flow 556k
Hux cans suck ass they are supper loud and rifle still gassy af. It don’t matter what you do to the rifle if it’s normal DI gun even after doing adjustable bcg, block etc you still getting slapped in the face with gas.
I don’t have any I was going to buy a t2 since it would cost me $400 after stamp but for my rifles it’s freakin brutal they aren’t set up to run supp. I started digging deeper to maybe buy a better can but after shooting Hux,the new rc3 ,couple griff cans. also shot the new fancy little kac can which is a dam blast shield/flash hider lol im just going to hold off for now. Im give .300 a try cause 5.56 is just too dam loud
SIR, I HAVEN'T EVEN WATCHED THE VIDEO YET AND I'M IN NEED OF THAT SHIRT....Hopefully it'll come quicker than the can does because this price is too good to pass up, lol. Link to that shirt please good sir?! Thank you!! LOL
Fat Cat is loud. It's really not all that great. I heard it at a suppressor event. I think GA Dual-lok 5 and Sci-Six are about equal at ear, and the best of what I heard.
I don't get the cope part Mr attitude. But this comment is 6 months old and i have now shot both and the answer is really for me not to count decibels. Suppressed on 556 is just about not blowing your ear out and if you're in the military flash is a consideration
Finally got the T3 from the ATF Nazi's just short of 6 months. However I have a concern about the Phantom mount.. it has some play in it when mounted is this a "feature" I haven't shot it yet.
Can’t wait for them to implement these back pressure improvements to the Resonator lineup. I’d also like to see them make a mount compatible with Xeno or Keymo muzzle devices.
The Resonator and Turbo both have industry standard "HUB" threading on the back end. Don't expect YHM to make any Dead Air components, but Dead Air does make Xeno and Keymo adapters that you can put on the YHM cans.
@nfareview thanks for responding. With headphones on and especially turned up to get a bead on the "suppressed sound mitigation" the sound of steel is piercing is extremely loud and unappreciated. I'm part of the sample population that doesn't care what steel sounds like when I'm shooting suppressed so that part also vexes me as to the utility of that review aspect but hey I'm not all knowing. Maybe you could shoot steel lastly? I don't know. Great channel, great videos, that was only my 2 cents.
Finally got the T3 approved from the ATF Nazi's. There is a slight play with the phantom mount is this a "feature" I haven't shot it yet and I've look in REDDIT and Focus Trip that this is normal
Or you could just by an OSS/Huxwrx can and get even less gas-face, reduced bolt speed, etc, etc, etc. Buy once, cry once. That said, good video overall. I definitely appreciate your content.
Remember that using another mount other than yhm voids your warranty. Pretty dicky considering their mount is loose af inside their can and need to be thread locked to make it stay. My t2 turbo k has a ton of slack in the threads even when it’s almost bottomed out. It has backed out while shooting twice now. Other mounts like keymo are so tight you think your gonna strip the threads trying to get them And it’s gassy af on short barrel guns. Probably gonna pass on any other yhm products now
YHM shines in the 350 to 450 market at 500 is competing with the Polonium at 532....and the Polonium is a far superior can. I have a T2, and I run it often on a 13.9, and I can't say it has too much backpressure to begin with. A barrel that is correctly gassed and a giselle super 42 H2 buffer and spring makes any 5.56 dedicated can smoth.
Spending under 1k on most of these cans not even worth it. I’ve got surefire cans and knights cans as far as non flow through goes. For flow I got oss. These 3 brands blow most out of the water. A good suppressor will reduce signature almost completely and also reduce recoil. These cheap ass cans sub 1k make your rifle have even more recoil and do not even come close to the signature reduction of an actual hood suppressor.
I’ve been seeing quite a few reviews of new Surefire RC3 being a flamethrower. Surefire has a proven good rep but I wouldn’t be opposed to a trying out a $500 t3 that doesn’t really have any cons that I’ve seen so far vs Surefire new $1800 RC3 that these RUclipsrs are complaining about it being a flamethrower
God I would want this suppressor but absolutely HATE the aesthetics of the little cartridges milled into the back of this thing. I guess I need to look into suppressor covers.
@@nfareview my man. Thank you. Great video btw. My Turbo T2 just got out of jail. This one got released in the interim. Was kind of bummed when it did but hey, whats another 9 month wait.
well I started the process with Silencer Shop Kiosk and finished all the eform and Esign all in one day.. all that's left is the approval.. I decided on the T3 through Silencer Shop and I like to think I did my due diligent in researching as much info I can on the T3 and came across one negative You Tube review by Focus Tripp ruclips.net/video/HLFjcciPpcs/видео.html but still decided to get the T3 regardless I hope I will not be disappointed
Ejection looks the same. YHM drilled like 1/8” hole in all the baffles for flow through. You can see in there on a clean suppressor and see the holes. I’ve got a t3 in jail. 😢
I thought YHM made a turbo 😂 Im so dumb
Lmfao. Pinning this 😂😂😂
They do! Takes it from STUTUTUTU to sutututu 😂
After all these years, i appreciate all the work you do making these videos for other suppressor enthusiasts

Yep… as an happy owner of 3 YHM cans…. I’ll be happy to add this one to family 😊😊😊
I think this video sold me on the YHM T3. It will be my first suppressor. Still doing my homework but this is the front runner.
Hopefully you still haven't made a decision. If not, imo if you save a couple more hundred bucks there's far better options.

Just got mine! Watched your video last month before I pulled the trigger. 3 weeks total time from start to finish. It is a great suppressor.
A deeper tone is a good selling point. Thanks.
Audio was good. Picked up left to right channel separation on distance shots.
I'm kinda upset that they aren't shipping their newly manufactured stuff with their latest SRX mounting system.
Nice. Yeah I got the T3 with the YHM SRX system quite a bit shorter and lighter.
LOVE the "Only Cans" T-shirt!
When the wind is at your back, no gas face. Yup.
I’ve had the opposite experience but it’s certainly better, I’ll be adding some high heat silicone to resolve that issue
Hahaha! After my 308 day wait to get my Turbo K, I see YHM introduced a Turbo K Reduced Backpressure model! 🤣😒

How do you clean the T3?
YHM has mini muzzle breaks and flash hiders you can get along with the kurtz adapter. I have both and it makes for a short light package!

You don't need to clean rifle suppressors at all.

Just discovered your channel, great info
Do you have an adjustable gas block or bcg? Your brass ejection pattern seems to be identical with the suppressor on & off.
Hi all. Should this still work fine with a piston-driven design like on Ruger's SR556 or IMI X95?
GREAT JOB THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I waited like a whole year for my t2 only for the t3 to be announced a week after I picked it up.
Trying to decide on what freaking can for best suppression for my 11.5 sbr. Stuck between polonium or yhm t3. Any help?
What weight buffer are you running in the video?
I have an original Turbo K and have wanted a low back pressure can. This might fit the bill.
Does using the sRx adapter save you some length?
How does this compare to a polonium k? Considering these 2
For a 556 host
Polonium has more backpressure. Sounds good, though. I was at a suppressor event a bit back, and the GA Dual-lok 5 and Sci-Six sounded the best at ear.

What’s a better can? YHM T3 or Rugged Razor 556? Looking for my first can?
