It used to make some sort of sense when the weapon came out back in 2012. If I remember right it would give you 3 seconds of full crits on kill, there was no meter. Pretty much exactly Heavy's KGB melee as an SMG. So the damage reduction was much less noticable since full crits are 3x damage. Could still use it on other weapons, I used to like snagging a kill with it and then using the crits on the sniper rifle for some no scope shenanigans. It was still dumb, but dumb in an at least kinda fun way. Now it's just dumb in a "why did they think this was a good idea" kind of way.
@@carsoncoughlin93 i can understand that; it would have been better sense mini crits came into play that they just knocked it down to mini crits; but they didn't JUST do that BS; they made it a meter that you're less then likely to get 100 damage; and even if you do; barely get enough damage in before it's time to die to some random spray of bullets; or grenade lob.

Honestly I always wondered why this thing didn't work the other way around, lower base damage, higher capacity, higher firing speed. Forces the sniper to keep the weapon out for longer periods of time when engaging a target (thing that is bad for the sniper), but gets an easier time filling up the Crikey bar which then gets more use out of the mini-crits thanks to the faster firing rate and no damage falloff. Then again this design as fun as it would be it goes against the name of the weapon. As it would encourage you to pepper large groups of enemies at a distance to gain Crikey quickly, and do so for longer (thanks to the increased capacity). Honestly I would love to see it give full crits that way the Bushwaka isn't THE only option, and we get to see more use out of regular kuhkri, and Shahanshah

But yeah I guess it can be busted how would you go about with it?
I actually really like the Carbine, actually. The slower firing speed helps me with placing my shots better rather than just using the stock SMG as a spray n' pray; and the silenced shots and mini-crits are also greatly appreciated, especially when paired with the Bushwacka and the Huntsman
2:03 You wanna know why you don’t notice the smaller clip size Cause thanks to the fact it shoots slower it uses less ammo In truth you can shoot for slightly longer then stock Just it does way less damage in that slightly longer shooting time Amazing video just saying that
i’d suggest something else, like a damage increase to make the carbine’s bullets quality over quantity, since you already have less clip size and fire rate, and this would also make the mini-crits do more than the stock smg at effective range.
Another thing that gimps the Cleaner's Carbine is that it cannot activate the Crikey meter while reloading. So, if you have automatic reload on, and you pull out the CC when it's not fully loaded, you are basically forced to wait a second to finish reloading THEN you can activate it which makes you unable to use anything until you finish reloading or else you'll be stuck swapping weapons like an idiot before you're put out of your misery.
"You'd think people would learn to TURN THE FUCK AROUND!" is the phrase I hear or see a chain-stab in casual. (especially when it starts with me and I have to yell, "SPY BEHIND US!" and no one turns around still...)
Honestly the ability to one-shot light classes on body shots was a poor decision because it makes Snipers resistant to being rushed down _without going for a skillshot (headshot),_ but since it was in the game on release and how a stock weapon works, we have to live with it.
I feel like reducing the firing speed to like 15% and making the crikey charge up by all weapons in exchange for a higher damage cap would make it more viable
No, one headshot or full hintsman bodyshot would be enough to fill the meter, it would have to be reduced the ampunt of crikey you get from primaries and makes stuff complicated, i'd say reduce or remove damage fall off, as it is just as good as stock when mini-crit boosted it wouldn't be too bad
I normally don't like playing sniper, but the idea of Sydney Sleeper + Cleaner's carbine, not only to deal good damage with both weapons without needing to rely heavily on headshots, which I'm bad at, but also to be able to support my team without feeling like I'm gimping myself with a gun that practically does a third of the damage of a normal sniper rifle.
I think the Cleaner's Carbine could stand to just give you a much longer buff duration (e.g. 16 to 24 seconds) so the reward for that 100 chip damage feels likena justifiable payoff
I like watching these videos before bed. Respectfully, i hate you for the nightmare fuel dispenser followed by loud heavy breathing waking me up in the middle of the night 😂😂😂
i’ve been playing around with the carbine because i’ve just gotten sick of the whole buskwacka jarate combo and i’ve found it surprising effective. i think that it’s a shame that one weapon dominates a slot when there’s way more active options that you can use and have fun with, but i think it’s utility with the huntsman and sleeper rn is still very useful and using this fun weapon should be more encouraged within the community. i think another great way to balence the weapon is to increase its firing speed to 25% but reduce its clip to something like 12 bullets (and maybe a 10% damage vulnerability? idk) so that you use it as a “oh fuck i’m about to die” and not a “lol rambo” gun, punishing players who rush in with it, while giving retreating players the firepower to counter push with the mini crits.
"If you use the kunai, i automatically think your a bad person" Me, who just started using the kunai recently because i used to not like it but started to now enjoy it:

i love this series, it lets me use all the bad weapons, and even though i die a lot more doing so, it makes the game feel fresh and i feel like when i first downloaded it, keep it up man
Wait 25% lesl firing speed but if you give it 50% more damage with the minicrits it's only as good as stock? Something doesn't add up here, or i'm bad at math
I think that what the sniper really needs is a weapon that drastically changes his play-style, ie, demoknight/trolldier. Sure, the Huntsman kinda already does that by making the sniper go more mid but he's still a teddy bear if rushed down or flanked. What I would like is something that sacrifices long range dominance for short/mid range power. Say either a battle rifle similar to a Garand where he loses head shots and precision accuracy in exchange for higher ROF and dealing 75 damage a shot rather than 50 at close range and doing the same damage as stock at mid. I can see someone with decent marksmanship making such a weapon a mid range powerhouse that forces a low hp class to get in close like the scout.
Funny, I named this weapon years ago as "Pack-A-Punch". I think it's a pretty funny name for a weapon that barely gets any proper use. It puts OOMPH into your weapons upon getting that meter up. I was addicted to playing zombies, what can I say? It made my weapons better, like the actual machine in the games.
If it had something like "20% more accurate", then it would've been a good option as well. DPS doesn't really matter when you can't even hit your enemies.
I've found that this combo works great on Capture the Flag, Mainly 2Fort due to the lack of room the enemy has to get away from you, meaning you can stay in your base and pick off classes who try to rush in.
I use it to make people think i’m worse than i am, then when they least expect it, die because i’m still not that good at the game

Great video once again, I enjoy your content so much, shame I cant really catch streams more often, but it doesnt matter since your vids are this good
I actually really like the Carbine, actually. The slower firing speed helps me with placing my shots better rather than just using the stock SMG as a spray n' pray; and the silenced shots and mini-crits are also greatly appreciated, especially when paired with the Bushwacka and the Huntsman
I never expected the cleaners carbine 2 be on bwa bc thats all what i see
imo, the best thing about the cleaners carbine is it's looks, that's what attracted it to me when I was new to the game.
2:03
You wanna know why you don’t notice the smaller clip size
Cause thanks to the fact it shoots slower it uses less ammo
In truth you can shoot for slightly longer then stock
Just it does way less damage in that slightly longer shooting time
Amazing video just saying that
Cleaner's Carbine + Bushwacka = Perfect gimmick Sniper.
It used to be more perfect when the carbine had no meter and mini-crits were triggered whenever you killed someone with it.
I'd say 2 things to buff it. Give it full on crits, or reduce the firing speed to 10%.
i’d suggest something else, like a damage increase to make the carbine’s bullets quality over quantity, since you already have less clip size and fire rate, and this would also make the mini-crits do more than the stock smg at effective range.
And let me festivize it and we're done
I would suggest that the Crikey meter also gives the user around 20-25% damage resistance on wearer for 8 seconds, but that might not be a good buff.
I remember , when I was so happy when I saw a dispenser with a cliner’s carbine ..)))
"You'd think people would learn to TURN THE FUCK AROUND!"
is the phrase I hear or see a chain-stab in casual.
(especially when it starts with me and I have to yell, "SPY BEHIND US!" and no one turns around still...)
5:03 As a guy who loves to play as Medic, I can feel his pain XD
12:09 I had this video on the background and this unironically scared me. thought Fish was coming for my soul
"traditionally vulnerable to getting rushed down"
Tell that to any sniper with 50 or more hours.
Sorry, "Traditionally vulnerable to getting rushed down by people who don't run in straight lines and expect to win the exchange for free."

@@fishstickonastick-gaming Traditionally vulnerable to getting rushed down by people who arent going around 2500 hu/s*
Dont defend sniper
Honestly the ability to one-shot light classes on body shots was a poor decision because it makes Snipers resistant to being rushed down _without going for a skillshot (headshot),_ but since it was in the game on release and how a stock weapon works, we have to live with it.
Hey I'm glad you managed to get this video made!
@@bruschetta7711 Reread the comment.
The carbine just needs the firing speed lessend or removed and it'd be fine
0:18 “My favourite sniper secondary is the stock SMG.”
Said while using a festivized australium variant. Checkmate, atheist.
I think the Cleaner's Carbine could stand to just give you a much longer buff duration (e.g. 16 to 24 seconds) so the reward for that 100 chip damage feels likena justifiable payoff
I like watching these videos before bed. Respectfully, i hate you for the nightmare fuel dispenser followed by loud heavy breathing waking me up in the middle of the night 😂😂😂
as Soundsmith said "it only has one use, TANK SHREDDING"
The ending actually scared me cause I was listening to this vid in the background and just looked down
i’ve been playing around with the carbine because i’ve just gotten sick of the whole buskwacka jarate combo and i’ve found it surprising effective. i think that it’s a shame that one weapon dominates a slot when there’s way more active options that you can use and have fun with, but i think it’s utility with the huntsman and sleeper rn is still very useful and using this fun weapon should be more encouraged within the community. i think another great way to balence the weapon is to increase its firing speed to 25% but reduce its clip to something like 12 bullets (and maybe a 10% damage vulnerability? idk) so that you use it as a “oh fuck i’m about to die” and not a “lol rambo” gun, punishing players who rush in with it, while giving retreating players the firepower to counter push with the mini crits.
9:47 TF2's a chaotic game. I doubt you'd be thinking about turning around when someone's shooting you in the face.
"If you use the kunai, i automatically think your a bad person"
Me, who just started using the kunai recently because i used to not like it but started to now enjoy it:
A scout shotgun idea to piss people off:
The Batter’s Hush-puppy
Primary for scout
+Mini-crits turn into full crits
+People killed by the user are not displayed in the killfeed for the enemy team
- 15% slower firing speed
- Clip reduced to 4 shots
- 33% wider spread
i honestly feel like the cleaners carbine could've been a godlike secondary for scout
2:35 i can just feel the anger in that pyro
I whacked the enemies bushes and got sent to the Principal's Office :(
i love this series, it lets me use all the bad weapons, and even though i die a lot more doing so, it makes the game feel fresh and i feel like when i first downloaded it, keep it up man
0:01 that sniper is a spy!
Just woke up, good timing
2:12 “this does not feel like a measley 25%”
Well… if you remove 25% from 600 RPM you get 450 RPM… and the CC fires at around 450 RPM.
Wait 25% lesl firing speed but if you give it 50% more damage with the minicrits it's only as good as stock?
Something doesn't add up here, or i'm bad at math
@@bruschetta7711 It fires 25% slower at 450 RPM compared to the Stock SMG's 600 RPM, a damage bonus would be benefitting for it.
OMG, these angry tones evry minutes is like a tradition in these videos lol
Yo FSOAS pretty good at clicking heads tho.
very balanced class
Lol
me who likes smg not as a utility but as a primary:
6 seconds, woooo new weopen academy
It made my weapons better, like the actual machine in the games.
this has been uploaded at 2 am for me, now im watching it
If it had something like "20% more accurate", then it would've been a good option as well. DPS doesn't really matter when you can't even hit your enemies.
Your Videos open my eyes to new ways to play the game and i love it! Keep up the good work!
I was letting this video play in the background and that dispenser breathing heavily at the end creeped me the fuck out
13:00 Typical Sniper player, gets salty when skillfully trickstabbed by a Spy.
That spy was literally teleporting around though. Why wouldn't you get mad.
Everybody gangsta till that one sniper goes ultra instinct with a uber medic
Looking forward to the Sydney Sleeper episode, as someone who rarely plays sniper and can't aim well to begin with, it's usually my go-to
i'm usually a stick in the mud with the themed intros but this one got me
I've found that this combo works great on Capture the Flag, Mainly 2Fort due to the lack of room the enemy has to get away from you, meaning you can stay in your base and pick off classes who try to rush in.
"The Cleaners Carbine and a Knife"
Bwa: mentions that this works with body shots
Sydney sleeper and machina: STONKS
Indeed! Love the use of the Futura font on your videos! It's my favorite font! So clean and pleasing! 😁👌🏻
11:11, the reverse market garden
I'm sorry you had to go through the process for getting the footage for this weapon. I can only imagine how big the raw footage files ended up being.
Is it bad that whenever I play sniper with the piss and funni knife, I think of sniper as a chef catching animals and cooking them with lemonade
