Arif - All of your videos are really engaging and have gotten me in the mindset of GTD. Your way of explaining things is crystal clear and informative! I've installed MS To do on my phone and PC, however I'm not getting the concept of converting the next actions to a list with context. Would it be possible for you to make a video of doing that in To do? That'll be really helpful for me 🙂
Hey AJ Thank you so much! So glad you’re getting deeper into GTD. Sure thing, can make a video further explaining categorising Next Action into contexts. Will add that to my video-ideas list. If you have further video requests, please let me know. Meanwhile feel free to email me at: arif@calmachiever.com with your doubts regarding contexts. Will try and help you right away so that you can start making progress. Keep smiling! Ps. Now I can strike this off from my Next Action list 😉
Hi Sergio, You ask really good questions. Shows that you’re applying the system with discipline and enthusiasm! You put in the Agendas everything you want to be reminded about when you meet that person. So that you don’t need to carry that in your head or worry about forgetting it. So that can either be questions you need to ask or main points for discussion. If I were coaching you I would ask you, “Is there anything else you need to be reminded about when you meet so and so?” If the answer is yes, then go ahead and write that down as well. Best apps: - I personally use 2do www.2doapp.com for all my lists. - Recently lot of folks are using Todoist - However when the humble Notes app or Reminders app on the iPhone work really well
Hello Danni No new Time Management expert or theory. GTD is still the ultimate when it comes to having a clear head and staying on top of your commitments. However having an Accountability Coach along with practising GTD has turbo-charged my focus and productivity. You can explore having your own personal Accountability Coach here: www.thefinishers.club Cheerio!
Thanks for explaining the Agenda component of GTD. Do you use this approach for ad-hoc and informal meetings or short sync-ups , that are not scheduled on calendar ? Reason being, we usually write down the agenda and reference materials in the meeting invite.
Hi @knowledgeseeker, You're welcome! Since you already have a system for pre-scheduled meetings (ie putting down the agenda and reference material in meeting invites), don't change it. Use the agenda list for other "ad hoc, informal, short sync-ups". I personally use the Agenda list for ALL my meetings (pre-scheduled & ad-hoc). I find it simpler that way. So, whenever I need to discuss something with someone who's not here it goes into my agenda list. When I'm in the context with that person (in a formal or informal meeting), I just pull up the respective list and I'm good to go. Hope that helps.
So good to hear from you, Anil! Eid Mubarak to you too. Do inculcate Agenda lists and other best practices of GTD. You will experience all parts of your life get an upgrade. Love Arif

@@CalmAchiever Amazing, thank you very much!
Should we put into the agenda only the questions we want to ask or the main points of the discussion? What's the best app for this list?
