perfectly done. These tutorials are wonderful because not everyone speaks english and understand what she is saying. Visual teaching is great. And she is doing a fabulous job of it. THANKS
Fantastic!!! Finally simple easy to follow tutorial!!!! I've watched so many fabric basket/box tutorials where I have to turn the sound off or jump far ahead because they talk too much too fast & I can't take it....lol
very well done and easy to make ~ I am going to embroider the main fabric after cutting out and fusing interfacing for labeling ! this is the best tutorial on fabric baskets ! Thank you !
I really love the simplicity of your basket! By turning under the tops of the fabric and lining and stitching them together, you skip the whole turning process. Except for one video where a lining side seam was left open for turning, I always thought the finishing on the top was less than great. Definitely going to make some of these!
I'm loving this project ! I just started growing my fabric stache and I'm excited to find this beautiful cloth box ! I hope to make several for my sewing space . Thank you so much for showing us how to do this cute box.♥️
Love Love Love this project! My first basket was a success. Only had to adjust one seam. Hopefully, I will figure out how to get it exact. THANK YOU FOR AN AWESOME, VERSATILE, project/gift/useful item!
Nice video. I've made many baskets and her method is pretty straightforward and easy to do. I cannot find the size chart she mentioned and her own personal blog is a nightmare to navigate - it is super slow taking forever to build and absolutely filled with ads. I gave up and left, but while there did not see a size chart anywhere.
I love this pattern. Do you think the size could be increased to a finish product of 9 inches tall, 16 inches long, 12 inches wide? If so, how do I determine how to cut the fabric?
hi, I don't think that the structure of the basket will hold up for one that large. Since it's made from just 2 layers of fabric and 1 layer of interfacing I don't think you'd be happy with the finished project. You'd need a much heavier interfacing.
Thanks for the link. I’ve looked through it several times but I’m unable to find the measurements for the different sizes you mentioned. Maybe they are hidden and I’m just missing them.
@@FatQuarterShopTX this for a download to use with a cricut machine. The video made it sound like she had a basic chart you could download. Not a pattern to be resized in a cutting program.
I find that the lining is always too loose using this method. I prefer to attach the lining to base & then put baskets right sides together & leave opening in top to turn through then topstitch it closed at the end. 👍🙏
Foam could work, but it gets tricky when trying to sew everything together because it makes it pretty thick and it might not fit under your machine's foot.
Hi Ann! Melissa actually made that quilt with her leftovers from all the other fun projects from her Fox Farm fabric collection. She used one of the cheater blocks from the printed panel in her Fox Farm collection for the center, and the other blocks are Ohio star blocks and Saw-tooth star blocks, respectively. The panel and fabrics she used can be found in her Let's Stay Home Quilt kit, which you can purchase here: www.fatquartershop.com/lets-stay-home-quilt-kit
I thought this was not that clear, too many shots all over the place and no clear list of what was needed. A very pretty end result but not a good tutorial.
Melissa you have 8 yards of fabric in that basket. I am very impressed with this project. What a great functional piece.

If I want a box/basket a specific size, is there some sort of formula so I know how much fabric to start with and what size corners to cut?

Awesome tutorial 👍👍👍
Quick storage bins, like the tip for steaming the bottoms and sides to shape.
Thank you for sharing your useful tips, Jess
Love this basket❤❤
I’m late to the party! Love this❤

Great tutorial and helpful tips! Thanks.
Awesome tutorial! ❤️
That is adorable, Melissa ❤️
Love this! I really love her new fabric line, too. I hope there are more videos with Melissa!!
Awesome tutorial Melissa. I really enjoyed it so much and it has me excited to make some. Thanks so much.❤️❤️🥰🥰
If someone does not see can this project be made by using sure bond fabric hot clue?
Hi Tammy, we would not recommend making this project with hot glue as it would not be as stable to use as a basket.
Nice job,love it.
Very nice basket. I love it
I’m so excited to make these for my fabric stash. Thanks!
Thank you, Melissa. I also could not find the size chart on her blog.

HRDonovan you’re not alone! I can’t find them either 🤦♀️
Did anyone ever find the size chart. It is not anywhere in the blog link that Fat Quarter shop provided. 🤷♀️
Love this! Can’t wait to make some :)
Thanks 🙏 off to make a hundred boxes 😍
Sew fun!🧵❤️
Can you add a link to the chart she mentions? I couldn't find it on her blog.

I have looked everywhere on the blog and cannot find a chart for different sizes
Fat Quarter Shop I could not find the size chart anywhere in this link??

That iron 🥰

Have you seen a tutorial doing that - please? I find most patterns have loose lining... thanks
Thank you. Lovely basket tutorial. No Link to chart as mention in the video. BJ
Thank you for pointing that out, here is the link: www.polkadotchair.com/fabric-basket-sewing-pattern-cricut-maker/
Fat Quarter Shop FQS there isn’t a sizing chart anywhere on the blog this link takes to you to?
Can you use a foam instead of the heavy interfacing?
Foam could work, but it gets tricky when trying to sew everything together because it makes it pretty thick and it might not fit under your machine's foot.
Fat Quarter Shop thanks
Very useful! Thank you!!
Harika. Paylaşım için teşekkürler.
Izlediğiniz için teşekkürler!
Is the inner lining interfaced?
Yes! With a light weight interface.
What is the name of the quilt w blue triangles on edge and pink star like blocks behind Melinda Mortensin?
Hi Ann! Melissa actually made that quilt with her leftovers from all the other fun projects from her Fox Farm fabric collection. thanks but that did not help, No chart was found on the site/link provide. Sad as it is a great project otherwise
Very nice
You rock ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
don't see the chart either
Here it is: www.polkadotchair.com/fabric-basket-sewing-pattern-cricut-maker/
Really couldn’t see well what you were doing the camera wasn’t on the project
Hhhmmmm, i can see adding a handle.
That's an awesome idea!
