Great step bye step lesson. Look forward to some purse lessons too. Thanks you.
What a great instructor!!
Orange is My favorite color Enjoying the replay ❤..
Super easy to follow your instructions. It looks amazing. Would you be willing to show how to sew hole closed? Slightly confused. Thank you.
Is there anything more gratifying than flipping a finished bag. Your label is so cute.
It is my favourite part of the process ❤
Love your sewing table setup
Very nice!
Thanks for the detailed tutorial.
I'm a beginner and just love this! Thank u!
Glad you enjoyed the video ❤️
Awesome tutorial! Gracias from Dallas Texas! 😊
I just made one, it turned out perfectly! Thankyou 😊
I love the extra details you shared. So many great tips for a new sewer like me.
Loved this! I will be making some!!
I have made one of these and I love it
I guess I will be trimming my seams from now on. Never realized how important it is. Thanks!,
It really does make a difference 😊
Great tutorial. Love these baskets. Thanks for sharing all the great instructions. You are so
easy to listen to.
So great to see you back
Very cute!
Thank you for sparing your precious time in teaching us this beautiful basket, really do appreciate, from Sri lanka 🇱🇰 God bless you,
Very perfect little sewing bag , thankyou
I saw another bag online that had a tutorial and said to read the pattern, then watch the video to have a clearer idea of making the bag, I loved it, but your video was better, I just don't want to watch the video so many times to the bag, I will watch one more time and try to take notes.. I loved your bag!
I have followed you for several years now and have made many of these fabric baskets, all colors and designs. You are such a wonderful instructor and I just love hearing your accent. Keep up the good work, I so admire you.
Thank you so very much for your kind words. You have no idea how much I needed to hear them
I’ve watched many videos on making these baskets. This is the best! Now I want to figure out different sizes.
I like using a method that attaches the lining to the bottom of the bag because my linings always end up sitting loosely inside. I tend to make my linings a little bit smaller so they fit more smoothly. Good tutorial for beginners. 😁👍💕

Hi Liz Bee, is there a tutorial that show how to attach the lining to the bottom, I would like to try but haven’t found any instructions that use that approach Thanks
Great tutorial, I am a learner stitcher with the sewing machine and I just made myself a basket using your instructions so super proud of myself
oh, that is Wonderful! I am glad you are sewing and enjoying it :) thank you for taking the time to watch and comment, it is always nice to here from viewers :) have a wonderful and happy sewing :)
@@darvanaleedesignsstudio I just watched a video on RUclips for your fabric baskets what is the size of this basket? And if I want a smaller or larger one do I increase or decrease the cut outs on the corners? And by how much if so?
Another great tutorial, very easy to follow. I’ve made nine of these now for various rooms in my house, and added a pom pom trim on two of them…thanks for sharing!😊
Love this cute basket❤
Thank you for such clear and thorough process explanation. I've watched a couple of others and yours is simple and very effective. Now happily making baskets for Christmas gifts!
Yes! A gift basket! Making one for a baby shower to use on the changing table. Great tutorial thanks much!
Thank you 😊
Thanks for the tutorial. You’re so thorough and professional - the very best. My sewing machine is coming out. Thanks
Very nice tutorial.
That was really good, I like that you emphasise the backstitching because many youtubers dont do that and it is really important. I have subscribed so I can watch some of the other things you have done ....thanks !!
So glad to have a sewing tutorial from you. I hope you have more on the way. Thanks 🙏
You are so welcome! yes every 2 weeks there will be one at this point, and maybe more as the year progresses :) thanks for watching :) happy sewing
Best tutorial for these baskets I’ve seen. I’m glad I stumbled upon it, and am looking forward to watching all your other videos.

I have watched this three times! You are a great instructor. I am a beginner and made my first one today and embroidered it! I wish I could add a photo!
Sending this to my daughter who sews. My husband is looking into getting me a machine so I can learn.

Oh that would be wonderful if you got a sewing machine...if you have any questions at all or would like to see something particular on the channel let me know and I can always do up a tutorial for you :) ...but I am sure you will find plenty to keep you going for a while :) thanks for taking the time to watch and be part of the channel :) till next time happy sewing :)

I always cut anything fusible about 1/2" smaller all the way around so I don't have to worry about it sticking out.
Absolutely brilliant! You are a great teacher
Great tutorial. Your a wonderful teacher . X
I made a basket using 2 fat quarters ! Thank you so much❤️
Thanks. I also found out I am using too hot an iron for my interfacing.
I love your quick projects & seeing your smiling face Nicole. I need to make a bunch of these in different sizes. Thanks for sharing your creative talent. 😉
Thank you hun, l am glad you like the video...super useful 😊 little baskets...so many uses 😉 thanks for stopping by ❤
Nicole, can you give me estimate of the finished measurements of the inside of this one when starting with your 10" x 18" pieces? Thank you!
This is the best tutorial. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for watching...l am glad you liked it ❤
Thanks! I’m looking into makin fabric bags for our bedroom cupboard as all the ones I’ve seen are crap! But it needs to be bigger than your one
You can make them in bigger sizes, adjust your length of starting fabrics, and may l suggest you use foam interfacing if you go bigger; l have a pattern for larger sizes with handles in three dimensions. You can find it here www.darvanaleedesignsstudio.com/product-page/dds-storage-cubes-with-handles
Thank you for watching and taking the time to watch and leave a comment...have a wonderful day and happy sewing. ❤😊❤
So fun to be back in the sewing room with you again. I am still behind, but sewing and listening to you teach it is wonderful having a friend in the sewing room again.
Welcome back! thanks for stopping...i am so glad that you are back in your sewing room :) and I hope you enjoyed this tutorial...we are now uploading every 2 weeks :) on a Wednesday, so keep an eye out :) thanks for taking the time to watch and be part of the channel :) till next time happy sewing :)
Love your basket. I’ve seen a couple of examples of these and love them all. Love that you have your turning point on the side of the bag rather then the top. Really makes for a neater bag.
Glad you enjoyed the tutorial. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment; your time is appreciated...' till next time, happy sewing and crafting ❤✂🪡🧵🧶
Made a little Easter bag with your instructions. Thanks for making it so easy to follow. :)
So glad you liked it...perfect for an Easter basket ...thank you for watching ❤

Love the teaching. Thank you for that. Impressed with the detail of sewing.

You are an excellent teacher! Thank you for your clarity and style. I want to teach this project to a sewing group, beginners to experienced, so things can't be too complicated and it's nice if the project can be completed during our alloted time.

Thank you, great video!
thank you :)
Thank you for a great tutorial.
You are welcome...glad you enjoyed it 😊
Love the video. Do you have any patterns?
Lovely
I absolutely love your videos. Easiest basket to make just by watching. I have a question, do you put your needle in the center or all the way to the right when guiding with the pressure foot? Thank you. ❤
there you go...you've done it. You have tempted me into getting my sewing machine out his weekend and see if I can manage to sew in a straight line as a start 😂😍 Thanks for showing us how to do this basket 💕
Lol, Oh Yay...you can get that sewing machine out...and l know you can make it hun...please give it ago, you won't regret it ❤❤❤
lovely thanks
Very clear instructions including tips. Thanks! ❤️
Really enjoyed watching this. I will try to make one tomorrow. 🙂
Hi Thank you so much for this tutorial, so easy to follow and concise. I have made my first basket but found when I turned it the right way out my stiffener went wrinkly. Have I used the wrong thing? The one I have is quite stiff and the basket stands up beautifully but wrinkly.
Back into following this excellent simple tutorial, basket's always look so nice. Red Gingham sits lovely inside granddaughters new trike wicker basket . Thank you
Haven’t been on in a while. Good to see you! Love the basket.
Hey there gorgeous lady, haven't been on social media much myself lately...we are still on summer break here only one week to go and they are all off to school... thanks for taking the time to watch and be part of the channel :) till next time happy sewing :)

Thank you so much I also made a 6" 18" tall
Good video.
Glad you enjoyed it
Adorable!
Thank you 😊
So much fun! Just don’t do like I did and pick an outer fabric with a repeating image- it’ll be upside down on one side- oops!
Do you have instructions to make that small basket for you clips? Thank you ♥️🤍💙
Would like to see your ironing board...front/back...did you make? Love the orange color 💜Basket quite nice 👍
Thank you for this video. You inspired me to make a basket (easily) and so gratifying to give to my girls with goodies in it for Halloween. They will love the basket more than the candy. :) thank you! ❤️
I just found Your channel and subscribed..
Such clear instructions. Loved the result! I definitely will try this!
Thanks!
Welcome!
Really like this tutorial. Could you share with me where you get your little tags?? Thank you so much for a great video.
Love you work
Thank you so much 😀
Love the tutorial. What is the finish size? Would love to make a few for drawers in my bathroom sink cabinet. Thanks
Thank you glad you enjoyed it...measurements are as follows
Base 4" x 6"
Height is 6"
I hope rhis helps 😊❤ thank you for watching 😊❤
Thank you that helps. Again great tutorial.
@@Mercedes-mn8sc not a problem :) have fun making your new baskets :)
I would like to use hexagons, would I sew them all together to make a fat quarter size then use the fusible interfacing and open all the seams?
Just wondering if you could leave your little pull through space at the top and then close it with your top stitch,
Hi Wanda, Yes you can, but I find this way gives you a better and more professional finish...you can also top-stitch the the opening in the lining if you are just making it for yourself :) thanks for taking the time to watch and leave a comment I appreciate you being part of the channel :) till Next time happy sewing :)
I enjoyed this video I’m going to make a couple for my sewing room how can I buy your fabric and other products thanks gloria
We have a website www.darvanaleedesignsstudio.com 😊❤ thank you for watching
Lindo parabéns 🥰
Nice tutorial! If I make a bigger basket, do I use the same 1 1/2 square at the bottom corners or do I make that bigger as well?
I was told you need to change the square size depending on the size of the bag.
I think I have been using too hot of an iron with the fleece😳 it always ripples. Thanks for pointing that out
Yes, a hot iron can cause all sorts of issues for interfacing...I always use a warm iron...it may take a little longer, but better than it getting ripples in your project :) thanks for taking the time to watch and be part of the channel :) till next time happy sewing :)
Love this lil basket Nicole great for a lil project basket to keep my yarn and sock knitting in 🙋🏻♀️💖🧶
Oh thank you, so glad you enjoyed it ❤ thank you for stopping by and taking time out of your day to watch ❤❤❤
What is the largest basket you can make? What would the measurements be?
I have not made these particular ones too much bigger, and when I have, I have just adjusted the height...but if you are looking for something a lot bigger for storage etc, I do have a pattern on Etsy with 3 different sizes that might help here is the link to that pattern etsy.me/3MIVrZb
Could I make a bigger basket? What’s the largest you have made? Do you have measurements?
What part of Aussie are you from. Great video, practical baskets for so many different uses. Thank you.
Im from Queensland 😊 and thank you glad you enjoyed the video
Hi. I made one of your basket/bags and it came out great. I have one question...
You said if the fabric you ironed isn't flat you run your clapper over it.
Sorry but I'm from the Midwest in the US and I have no idea what a clapper is. 🙄😄
A tailors clapper sets seams and creates pleats and folds...but l use it as an ironing tool as well.. l hope this helps...l will have a link so you can see what it looks like amzn.to/2QqDRPb
amzn.to/2QqDRPb
@@darvanaleedesignsstudio Thank you so much. I never heard of it before. I love learning new things. 😁
@@akapody no worries, l use it a lot with bag making to make pleats for card slots
Can warm and natural batting be used instead of fusible fleece or non woven interfacing
you can, but it may not have the same finish like the one in the video...I find when I use batting it does not sand up as well...but it is up to you :)
Me encantan las labores que haces pero por favor pon las medidas , yo solo lo puedo ver desde el móvil , gracias
