That is so cool, never would have thought to circulate the air like that. Reminds me of working with circuits have to complete the loop, and now I'm thinking of the borg! 🙃
So far I only have data on the non-recirculating skimmer, ruclips.net/video/IYtTyqDwQ4Y/видео.html, which was 66 days. Based on others data I'm assuming the recirculating should be at least 3 times longer, I hope.
Hi, I have a 32 gallon nanocube. I grow macro algae in the back compartment with a tunze eco shiek led. My pH during the day is 7.8 and it's 7.6 at night! 😢 I'm thinking about adding a co2 scrubber. I'm wondering if adding a co2 scrubber will kill my macro algae? The macro is doing such a good job keeping my nutrients down
As far as I know, there is no correlation between pH and harming macro algae, within the normal range of a reef pH, 8.0 +/- something. At a pH of 7.8 you will benefit from a CO2 scrubber.
Not sure what you are asking. The scrubber would have a room air in and then a scrubbed air out. The air intake line from the skimmer connects to the scrubbed air out port. Is that what you are asking?
I just added a scrubber to my AIO as my PH is low. Hope the scrubber work, I have a terrible skimmer, I need a new one I think. How do you like that skimmer your using now. Any recommendations on a good skimmer. Also need to do a recirculating setup as well
As you know, the choices of skimmers for an AIO is very limited. This Ice cap nano works OK, it's a little tricky to get it placed just right. Knowing what I know now, I would not pick an AIO to try and grow tricky SPS, but rather a system with a sump and refugium to try and keep the pH level.
I’m new to the hobby and this is my first saltwater tank, had I known better I also wouldn’t of went AIO but I’m iso far down the rabbit hole I have to make thus work.

Resistance is futile!
Thanks for posting this. I am about to setup a recirculating co2 scrubber and wondering how long your media lasts?

i have a K1 Nano Skimmer and picked up an Ice Cap Co2 scrubber. Does the air intake for the skimmer fit directly onto the scrubber?
